Waldo was a real pleasure to work with. Was able to diagnose my 2013 Prius issue over the phone after I explained to him if plugged new battery on backwards. Fixed my car in my drive way, showed me blown fuse that is almost impossible to get to in a Prius, showed me new replacement fuse... car was fixed in about 1.5 hrs. I hired Waldo to tap a broken screw in the cylinder head of my vehicle. When I asked him if he had the knowledge and tools to perform this service he told me yes. That is not what happened. He couldn't remove the screw and after awhile gave up and told me he cannot repair my vehicle. When I asked Oswaldo why? he told me because he cannot guarantee the work with the old thermostat housing saying it was defective. He then told me he was leaving and charging me $120.00 for a job that was not finished. I had to get my vehicle towed to Torrance Auto repair to see if they could finish what Oswaldo could not. They told me he damaged the cylinder head by screwing in on an angle and they could not tap it. I needed to take it to a machine shop where they specialize in these type of repairs. Japanese Auto inspected the drilling Oswaldo did and said yes he damaged the cylinder head by screwing in on angle, the same conclusion Torrance Auto repair had. The towing cost me $70.00 and the repair was $175.00. When I called Oswaldo and informed him about the repair I had to pay for due to his negligence he just wanted to argue and take no blame and refused to reimburse me for the repair that he is liable for. I talked to two very experienced mechanics at both shops and they both told me that his work caused the damage. In my opinion and others Oswaldo knew he couldn't finish the repair so he blamed it on the thermostat housing to get out of the mistake he caused. The thermostat housing had no defects and is on the vehicle now working fine. I wouldn't let him even look at my engine let alone hire him. Because if he makes a mistake he takes no blame and takes your money. See you in court Waldo! read more

My AC Compressor went out, and I found Waldo on Yelp and because of the good reviews I thought I would give him a shot and Let me tell you Waldo came to the rescue and fixed my car and even did a oil change that I needed. He was very respectful, and extrememly professional and very honest, he made sure to clean up after he was done. He knew exactly what to do and knew exactly what parts I needed. Let me start off by saying Waldo's auto repair is the best thing that my best friend introduced me to. My check engine light was on I took my car to the dealer to see why was it on and they said we have to charge you a fee to look at it and see what the problem is which is usually one hour at their mechanical rate that normal I had no problem with that. The next day the Honda dealer calls me back and say we can't identify the problem we have to do a deeper diagnostic and charge you another two hours I was really pissed off because that was not the deal but I agreed to it because I wanted my car back without a check engine light. After a 640 dollar charge they called me back and told me I needed a new engine on my 2014 Honda which had only 98k. I was furious and knew something wasn't adding up I got my car back and my friend referred me to Waldo within one hour he told me it was just my oxygen sensor that needed to be replace and got my car fixed and back for 125 I was so happy definitely I will return back with any issues on my car. I was lucky enough to call the GM back from Honda and got my money back from them. Don't get ripped off by the dealer go to Waldo first love that guy. I will refer anyone that asks me for a mechanic. read more
