My Toyota had front passenger side damage and needed a whole new headlight set, rim cover, side mirror, passenger side door undented and adjusted to be able to open, also needed new suspension parts and work done. PAD kept me updated thru it all, worked with my insurance (who estimated it could take 3-4 weeks) and PAD got my car back to me in 2-3weeks even with a major holiday in the midst of it. When I picked it up, my car looked brand new and shiny, inside and out! I couldn't believe it was mine, the little prius even looked taller! I drove it around, city and hwy, no issues arose. Excellent customer service has almost become a thing of the past. We consumers have grown accustomed to sub-par customer service especially when it comes to mechanics, car services, or anything for that matter that is a "In need-will pay $$ for, service".. For all of us that own a car (99.9% of ppl living in L.A.) we all know that when we desperately need car repairs, detailing, or a new car we crawl at the mercy of the dealership, seller, or mechanic.. In the moment of naive, loathing, "help me out man" we get up-sale'd on air filters, wipers, "special editions", transmission cleanings or whatever else "services" our cars need. This is why I'm always leery about going to someone new for car services and even take friend referrals with a grain of salt. This is why, when a friend of mine referred me to P.A.D. for window tinting I was a little skeptical. My friend, who has been the type to talk me out of impulse buys, week-long cheat meals, and drinks that are too expensive (which I still don't think exists if alcohol is involved) is a friend that I feel has my best interests. Which is why I went with their advice when they suggested to get my work car windows tinted by P.A.D. Upon first phone conversation, I could tell the owner David was a person who cared about customer service and the quality of his work. My work schedule can be hectic and he took the time to text/call to coordinate a time that worked with my schedule. He also notified me that a contractor he works with would be coming to my location to perform the tint, but that he would personally check-in to ensure the job was done right. When he came by, he was personable, friendly, and explanatory of his business and the quality he is striving for. It always gives me a bit of hope when a company owner actually goes above and beyond the call of duty and provides excellent customer support. Needless to say, I was very pleased with my window tint and can now drive around town without melting in the magnifying glass of a car with no tint. Bonus, I also don't have to live with the shame of a person who stuff my face in my car, picks my nose, or sings my heart out because now a tad bit more privacy.. sweet! I would definitely recommend P.A.D. took my Mazda in for a detail to try to get black overspray off my white paint and my lights defog. They did a great job no black overspray lights are crystal clear and lights are brighter clean my in side and my engine bay. What can I say, David is great! I admit, I tend to dislike car stuff in general. However, David has been very helpful with easing my anxiety with the car selling and car buying processes. Since initially being referred to Preferred Auto Design by my husband, I've worked with David for my car needs on two occasions. On the first occasion, I reached out to David to see if he was interested in taking my old college car, a broken down Honda Civic, off of my hands. It had been sitting in the driveway for months, and I was just too busy (and honestly dreaded) to really put energy into trying to sell it myself. David offered me a fair price, took care of all the paperwork, fixed it up and sold it to someone who would appreciate it. From that point I took an interest in David's ability to find used cars of good quality, restore them and sell them for very reasonable prices. I made a mental note to reach out to him again when on the search for a vehicle for myself. Fast forward to just about a month ago. The second occasion working with David was pretty unique. My family and I decided to move across country from California to Georgia and, with that, we've been on a pretty tight budget. However, we are also in need of an additional vehicle that will fit the needs of our family of 5. Not knowing much about our new area, we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to the trusted David again. We provided David with details regarding our budget as well as the features we would prefer in the vehicle (economical, safe, reliable, third row option, etc). David provided excellent tips and recommendations in return. He was also open to hearing my objections, as well, meaning he didn't try to push me into purchasing vehicles I felt uncomfortable with. He was very conscious about helping us stay in budget as he helped with searching for used car gems on our behalf. He even went above and beyond by researching and narrowing down best deals for cross-country shipping costs and looking at the DMV process and fees when registering a car in a new state. David was very patient and considerate throughout the entire process. At the end of everything, we decided to put the cross-country car search on hold temporarily. Even though we didn't purchase a car through David, working with him provided me with something priceless; a gained confidence in navigating the used car-buying experience; particularly looking for used cars through private party sellers. When my family gets more on our feet, I will reach out to David once more for his input when I go on the car hunt.
