He said there were a few things they could try before I committed to buying a new screen. It turned out she had some water in there and I ended up buying their insurance plan because it's better than the deal I would have received from my carrier. They did the job and was able to return my teen's phone the following day. There was a small discrepancy on the price I would initially pay for the screen and my final price at pick up. They did give me the cheaper of the two, thank goodness because It was a significant amount. These phone and their repairs aren't cheap. I'm glad my daughter's device has this coverage and my studio beats and air pods. Thank you Oscar for your help with getting my teens phone fixed and back to us. I recommend this store and their insurance plans that will insure a phone and your devices under one simple plan.

On May 14, 2026, I called Reno Computer Fix in desperation because after transferring data from our…read moreold computer to a new one, and working with several other tech services, I still did not have Microsoft Outlook installed correctly on our new computer. Without going into too much boring detail, my husband and I have an unusual email/Outlook configuration - same email address, two formats, three devices, etc., and I had lost all my Outlook folders - arrgh! I requested a home visit so I would have all the information that might be needed at hand. Within a few hours, owner Justin returned my call and said he would be at my home the next morning. He showed up on time, patiently listened to my non-tech explanation of our Outlook goals, and went right to work. With expert tech skills on his side and held breath on my side, and both of us occasionally crossing our fingers, Justin worked his magic and Outlook was configured for our needs (even better than it had been before) and I got all my Outlook folders back - YAY! The visit lasted two hours - about one hour was for the Outlook concern and the other hour was filled with small fixes and reorganizations that most 12-year-olds could manage but that I either did not know how to do or was afraid of the consequences if I tried. The price was very reasonable and the work was excellent. If you need help with anything computer-related, contact Reno Computer Fix first. Justin was able to fix what three other tech businesses could not.

So after some searching I decided upon James and Reno Geek. One of the reasons is length he has been in business. Another is all the reviews were positive. We set an appt and he was on time. Very polite and professional and let me know what he thought the issue was. I offered to let him take the computer and work on it at his shop. He kept me informed and gave me a price before ordering parts and beginning work. He also gave me my old parts (something not enough people do/ask for, more to make sure they actually got you new stuff). Since some of the parts came from China it did take a while. But again, I was kept up to date with emails. He brought back the computer, set it up, and verified that everything worked. His pricing was more than fair. Very honest. 5 star review. I can't recommend him enough.
