Everyone here is great, they have just about everything you need. They are friendly and helpful. I've been going here since they've been open and so have many people I know. Also trying to find someone that replaces watch batteries anymore is a real challenge. The same with car fobs and garage door openers. They do that, and they don't overcharge. They will also recycle 5 pounds of batteries for free. They also work on cellphones. read more

Had a great experience at this location too! I started out at the place in Reno by Olive Garden. They did not have the part, but called around and found the part here. They called the store to let them know I was coming. When I arrived I was warmly greeted (they were super busy!) . When I introduced myself, they knew exactly what I needed, and fixed my phone in no time at all. Really good phone fixing experience, much better than the Apple Store! read more

This is my go to store for batteries. Although every Batteries Plus I have visited has always had fantastic service, this Sparks location is my favorite. Austin is always patient, prompt and friendly. It's just so nice to walk in, see his smiling face, and to know I am walking out (like today), knowing my car fobs will keep working like a charm with their new batteries. Thank you! read more

They do not honor their warranty! Don't take your phone to these guys for repairs. Recently had my iPhone 11 screen replaced and they forgot to install a screen protector. Dropped phone next day and discovered they forgot to install the screen protector. Manager said they were not responsible for broken screens. read more

Really such great people there at the Sparks store. Replaced the battery in my Dad's truck. They are just kind, patient and sincere folks. I was just blown away by their service. I will be utilizing them again and I will recommend them to others. read more

I run a warehouse and we were in the middle of loading a trailer with one of our specialized forklifts and the battery died at the last hour of the day before the weekend. So I took the battery, hopped in the truck and headed over. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me multiple choices and explained the difference of each one. While checking out the gentleman helping me spotted the Veteran status on my license and gave me their Veteran's discount. I was in and out quick and returned to finish the job before our normal closing time. Batteries plus has tons of batteries in stock to help with vehicle batteries, watch batteries or whatever you can think of. read more

Do NOT take your phone there to replace the battery. If it's an Apple, just take your phone to the Apple Store. I bought my son a used phone and it worked for a while, but after an update, the phone wouldn't function with the unsupported battery. My husband took the phone to this establishment, they replaced the battery, it still didn't work, they still charged him. We took the phone to the Apple Store. They kept it overnight and would have charged the same price. When we drove back down to pick it up, they told us that they had to cancel the repair because the third party repair people, AKA Batteries Plus, glued the battery into the phone. They were unable to remove the battery because of this and we are stuck having to buy another phone. They totally screwed us. Don't go there. read more

Let me start by staying I am a watch nut, I likely have over 200 and the staff at Batteries and Bulbs store #474 have always taken care of me. There is no attempt to up sale me and they are incredibly honest, if they have the battery for one of my 200 watches then they will replace it. It's refreshing to engage with an establishment that understands and executes on customer service. read more

I ordered my motorcycle battery online. Within 30 minutes I had my alert to pick it up. When I got to the store, one guy was helping a customer, and the second worker immediately asked if he could help me. I gave him my name, transferred my old battery and walked out. It was so fast and perfect, I paused for a second, cuz I was sure I forgot something. Nope, didn't forget anything. Super easy, spent less than 3 minutes in the store. CRAP!! Forgot to ask about my deposit for the battery. TOO EFFICIENT! read more

Bought a battery from them and the warranty to go with it. Been having issues with the battery for the past year. Every time I take it in which was a few times they would say it's not the battery. They give me a run around about the warranty saying they don't make money off the warranty (then why have battery "warranties") and won't exchange the battery. I would have to buy a new one, while they test the problematic battery. Just had to have my truck towed to the dealership and guess what? It was the battery! Over $500 bucks later....Not ever buying another battery from this scheming business. Do not do business with these guys. I suggest if you're looking to buy a battery for your vehicle you go hit auto zone and pay the extra for the optima. At least they honor their warranty. Not that you'll need it with that battery! read more

I have been going to Batteries and Bulbs for many years and I have always been satisfied with their service and products. The other day the battery in my vehicle died. I was able to charge it enough to get the car started so I headed over to Batteries and Bulbs. They checked it out and determined that it was no longer serviceable. They had one in stock and had it in my vehicle in no time. They are able to hook up a small battery while they install the new one so no radio presets or any other electronic settings are lost. There is no charge for installing the battery. A Warranty comes with the battery, of course, and they always stand by the coverage in case there is a problem before the time runs out, which was the case with my battery. I was very satisfied with their service and how quickly I was back on the road and would highly recommend them. read more

I took my daughter-in-law's phone in to get a screen replacement. The older man with gray hair told me he couldn't get lavender. I said what does it matter, it just needs a new screen. He said I don't know, I'm not the tech, but you have to get the whole case. I left when I asked what color can you get and he replied "ID HAVE TO CHECK EVERY COLOR TO TELLYOU WHAT I CAN GET!" The next afternoon I called and spoke to a gentleman who actually seemed to know what he was doing. We ordered the screen. Once repaired my son picked up the phone and thought it felt strange in his hand. He got it home and the next morning realized it wouldn't charge. He took the phone back and I get a call asking if he tampered with it. I said I couldn't imagine he would. They ordered new parts and when my son picked it up the guy said you did this my guys wouldn't have done it. My son told him he knows nothing about repairing phones and why would he when he just paid over $200 for you to fix it! Needless to say, they have lost a lot of business just with our extended family. Their motto must be: WE DONT WANT TO DO OUR JOB AND THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!! read more

Batteries Plus in a Word PATHETIC! Placed an Ordered with them 2 Weeks ago. Nothing all that special, a X2Power Premium AGM Group 27F Car and Truck Battery. Paid upfront for it online. When I was first ordering the battery, it showed as available in the store. But there was a discount to per-order it and pay online. So, I did and went to the store in Hicksville NY, and they didn't have it. I was told it would be a few weeks. A FEW WEEKS is never an acceptable answer in today's world, but I said OK and now 2 weeks past and STILL NO Battery. Mind you this is Their business "Batteries". PATHETIC!! Is all I can say. I went in in the beginning of September to get my car battery changed the first gentleman who I believe his name is Darrell was amazing. The second gentleman was very very rude to me. I had a whole lot of problems all through the month of September with my battery it finally took Darrell to come and he actually did some thing that my car battery needed. He put shims on the posts and the car is working wonderful now he actually took the time to really help me and he and his other lady associate who I can't remember her name helped at all so it was great to actually have a gentleman who let me watch what was going on with my car we need more people like him. The other gentleman him which I had a bad experience with is no longer there thank God, but I highly highly recommend batteries plus on Prater because they now have a very caring staff there that will do their best to help you out in anyway that they can thank you thank you thank you. read more

It's really tough to find customer service this good anymore! I went in trying to find a battery for my Samsung Galaxy S5 (ancient these days, I know.) He had plenty in stock, but helped me troubleshoot the issue first because my phone was acting funky. He tested my current battery, helped me with the new one, then seamlessly processed the return of the new one when I went back to my car and found that my phone still wasn't charging (because it's a P.O.S.) The whole time, he was very patient with me and quick to get me in and out, knowing that I was visiting on my lunch break. I'll definitely be back for any bulbs or batteries I need in the future! read more

The techs at BatteriesPlus in Sparks replaced my broken iPhone glass quickly and expertly. They are accommodating and pleasant. Great place!

This is my go to place for watch batteries. Located on prater way next to Jim Bob's chicken joint, this place has grown from its beginning, a battery store. Now they sell all kinds of bulbs, household, car, and even led. They repair broken cell phone glass. The batteries they sell range from car battery, boat batteries, motorcycle batteries, your household batteries, hearing aid batteries, cell phone batteries, pretty much any battery. So the days of going to a jeweler to replace a watch battery are long gone. Try these guys out. read more

I had bought a battery for my motorcycle the day prior at the Sparks location, smooth transaction, nothing wrong. When installing the battery, I fumbled and misplaced one of the sets of hardware (1 nut and 1 bolt). The store was closed already so I waited until the next morning to inquire if they had extras. I got to the Sparks location, was met by a different gentleman from the day before who had zero customer service the other woman did. She was cordial, this guy couldn't care less about me being there especially since I wasn't trying to buy a battery. I asked how they were doing and was ignored. I asked if they had any extra hardware and before I even finished my question I was told "Nope, none" with a sigh in their voice. "Don't have anything like that here." I was pretty disappointed especially since all my online searches were giving me shipping options for what I needed. I really needed this battery as I use my motorcycle for a daily commute, so this was pressing. Instead of cutting my losses I called the other location in South Reno and without any hesitation, a man named Mike told me to come in and check out any spare sets of hardware cause they had a ton. He gave me an extra set just in case and didn't have me pay anything. He saved me a lot of stress and took away the stress caused by the Sparks location. Had the other guy just suggested I call another spot to ask, or maybe just look in the back for me, things would be different. Cheers to Mike at the other location. 2 stars only because the girl the day before was super nice and helped me out. read more

Ryan did a great job for us!...The crew here is fantastic--- We needed a good Duracell 12 volt battery in our Corvette--Of course, in a C-4 classic Corvette, car battery replacement is not a easy task..To change the car battery, a Corvette side panel must be loosened and removed--and battery access by the engine is a bit tight....Without any complaining, Ryan immediately set to work changing our battery...Within 15 minutes, our new Duracell 12 volt battery was installed--and we were on our way...This is a great shop for all types of batteries... read more

Tried calling this place several times to ask about if they fix Dewalt 20v batteries. First time I called, David answered and complained he couldn't hear me (although his accent was so thick I could barely understand him) and told me to call back. What began as a somewhat ugly experience (having a dead battery in a dark parking lot the night before) turned into the best customer service experience I've received in a very long time. The very helpful and courteous gentlemen at Batteries Plus Bulbs on Prater Way in Sparks NV went out of their way to be sure I ended up with the correct car battery and then installed it at no charge. I appreciate a business who employs individuals who are good at what they do, treat the customer with respect, and don't have an "attitude." I have had a Ryobi battery pack rebuilt and one other drill batteries replaced by them and neither one lasted as long as the original. Not so In my opinion. Over priced too. read more

The entire team at Batteries Plus Bulbs are EXCELLENT!!! Some of the items may cost a little more than these large chain stores BUT I GUARANTEE it's well worth the difference. They are always there to help in any way possible and help you work out any issues you may have. Yeah...I'm Old School (hahaha) didn't realise that things don't work like that these days. Anyway, found Batteries + Bulbs and went on over. Kevin helped me right then, put a new battery in my beloved old watch, even told me about the lifetime battery replacement deal for $13.99 (which means that next year when my watch dies, I just come back and get a new battery-NO CHARGE !!).
