John at Batteries Plus is the best! I called regarding a battery or a charger not working. He suggested I stop by and he would take a look. He was personable and friendly. He explained what he was looking for and what he was doing. My battery was so low it could not charge. He gave it a "boost" and sure enough it started charging! It's back to full capacity! I called Batteries Plus Bulbs after finding out that it would cost me $299 to get my iPhone 6 fixed at Apple (broken/unworking screen.) B Plus B gave me the price right over the phone and told me that it's a first come first served basis so to try and get in quickly so it could be done in one day. I dropped it off on my lunch hour from work and it was ready by 4:30p. When they called to tell me it was ready, they even joked around asking if I had chickens, because they found chicken feathers in my phone. I like that kind of personal service.When I came to pick it up the next day, as soon as I walked in the employee remembered me and went out back to get my phone without me having to tell him which one it was. I truly felt like a valued customer. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and did an excellent job. I was able to get my screen completely fixed, purchase a glass screen protector and a new case for less than it would have cost me just to get my phone fixed at Apple. I will DEFINITELY be recommending them in the future and wouldn't go anywhere else now that I know they offer this service. I might even bring my broken iPhone 5 in to get fixed and try to sell it since it's just been sitting in a drawer for a year. THANKS!!!! read more

Took my inoperative phone in and handed it to the desk guy. He pops it open, fetches the right battery, installs it, tinkers with the memory chip to get it to close, starts it up, and gives advice about never charging phones for more than 4 hours (because it kills the battery, which no one else will tell you). It cost $39 - I don't know if that's a good price or not, but having a functioning phone in 2 minutes made it seem like a bargain. My sons laptop battery was on it's last leg. Searched online everywhere for a battery. Could not find it or a compatible one that would work. This was the only place we could find it. Ordered the battery online on a Monday night. That same night about 1/2 hour after placing order we get a call from the store. It's the manager. He suggests we bring the laptop in for them to run a test on it to make sure it was the battery and not some other issue. He said if it was the battery he would order the battery right then. He said he didn't want to order something I may not need & charge my card for it. I thought that was pretty honest of him. He explained sometimes it's a computer issue or the charger isn't working right... They tested everything. Bought a battery on Friday from online service.pick up and the guy was training a guy so I was in no rush.about 45 minutes later I leave with battery and suggested he test before I take being and I AM certified tech for 15 years.he says all are batteries are good to go..ok..next day I install in my Harley and won't even turn it over..so I call and talk to a guy Billy that says bring it in Sunday.i do and the guy says they got to test it .I told him I am selling bike at noon and even willing to pay more for upgrade .He said it don't work like that and we had words and HE WAS rude unhelpful p.o.s..now I get home and look at paper that I am to use to pick up battery..a 10 dollar recharge fee for a battery I just bought and has year warranty..are you kidding me??To an yelp peeps DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY..THX. read more

Horrible people, terrible prices. A few months ago, I got a new battery for my phone for about $40, plus a warranty for another $10. Last month I had to replace it because the battery exploded. So I went in to the store and had no problems getting a replacement one. Then yesterday, my phone fell out of my pocket and fell down the stairs and the battery got dented. I go in today to get it replaced, I show the manager it and tell him what happened and he said that they can't replace it. I asked why and he said that the warranty doesn't cover physical damage. I told him I got replaced before with no problems. Before I could say anything else, he just blows me off. Now I'm mad. So I wait in line and ask again, why can't I get my battery replaced even though I have a warranty and I got it replace before for physical damage. He said quote "I was feeling gracious.", blows me off again. I left after that, since clearly he doesn't care. There are a few problems with that statement. One, he wasn't the guy I talked to when I got the battery first replaced. Two, he said he was there when I got it replaced, so why didn't he say anything about not accepting physically damaged batteries? Three, when I was asked about wanting a warranty, the guy didn't say anything about it not covering physical damage. If he said that it didn't, I wouldn't have bought the warranty in the first place. Finally, the price. After getting blown off twice by the manager and going home. I decided to check how much a new battery for my phone would cost. You know how much a new battery for my phone costs? $9, I'm not kidding. I payed more than 3x that and now I feel even more ripped off now. They admit they do not honor appointments. I chose the first appointment of the day, which is half an hour after opening time, for a cell phone battery replacement while I waited. At the appointed time, the service employee told me that there were several devices ahead of me already and it would take all day. Another customer in line told me he also had an appointment at the same time. Did they have multiple technicians? No, only one. Did they book several appointments at the same time? Yes. Then how can they call it an appointment, when it's really first come, first served? The employee tried to weasel out of it by telling me that "the web site should say 'subject to availability'" Well, it doesn't say that. This is dishonest and it is poor customer service. They don't honor warranty. Brought a 1year old defective battery back and the manager gave me a lot of excuses why they would not honor it. These stores are going out of business for a reason. I have given them a lot of business in the past but no more. They're always oh so sorry. It's like a used car lot. Once you buy it don't come back. POS battery was probably on the shelf for years. He measured the voltage and told me 10.5 volts was out of spec for the warranty. Sound familiar? Manager is very rude. Hung up on me. Stay away. I needed a tiny battery for my remote start for my truck one would work the other one would not he tested each one he said one was at 23% the other at 50% he said both should be replaced so he replaced the tiny batteries in each one it was @ $ 9.00 each so far so good i would have given ***** 5 stars but the items in the store was $ pricey. read more

My Verizon box was beeping one Friday night so I went to Batteries Plus and took one off the shelf paid the $41.00 and went home to install it. I put the new battery in and the Verizon box kept beeping and the replace battery light continued to flash. I called Verizon they told me box was no good and would send a tech. After the call I took out the battery and tried to return it the following Monday. The clerk tested the battery and said it was only 10.5 volts and would not take it back! I asked why. Clerk answered battery is used and we can't take it back. I responded, how do I know it was a full 12 volts when you sold it to me you didn't test it then. Sorry, can't take it back. Poor customer service. Receipt states 30 day money back if not satisfied. I called corporate and they told me the same thing battery was used. Ya it was for 5 minutes! Buyer beware! read more

Do not go here if you want any kind of warranty on their work. I had a repair done and they replaced the screen saver on my iPhone 6. When I got home I noticed a bubble at the top of the screen. I immediately called to give them this information. When I brought my phone back I was informed that I would have to take a photo of my sales receipt and contact the company who manufactures the screen. Batteries plus does not guarantee their work or their products so be careful If they didn't warrantee something that was put on my phone I should have been told prior to it being put on my phone. Nice people. Also, they take lithium battery returns for recycling- which is pretty cool. They rebuild battery packs and seem to know what they're doing. At lot of battery and bulb stuff is somewhat pricey, but I assume they'd give good guidance and advice on what to buy- that is worth it. read more

Excellent service! Came to the shop after my battery wouldn't hold a charge. I have a 14 Silverado and the owner helped get the battery out which required the removal of a sway bar and a bunch of clips. We tested the battery found it had a bad cell and replaced it for $180. Took about an hour all together. Def recommend this place! read more

I recently encountered the BEST customer service ever. My automatic car started was working less and less. I was told it was not the battery in the starter but rather a piece inside the key starter that had to be welded. Not only was the that an extremely honest diagnosis but they welded the piece inside the key starter, never charged me, and told me to have a nice day. Great customer service. Had a Dewalt battery rebuilt at Batteries Plus 2 years ago. I have a Dewalt 14.4volt drill/driver, saw and flash light that uses this battery and I also have 2 original batteries that came with this set that I bought over 15 years ago. Batteries Plus warrant is only 1 year but I don't use these tools much. Whenever I try to use one of tools, I get no capacity out of the battery and have to revert back to my corded tools. I took it back to the store to see if they would do something for me but the guy said I was way past the warranty and that was that! I basically get the same performance out of this battery as the 2 original batteries that are over 15 years old. I feel that they use cheap batteries that have less capacity than the original batteries that they are replacing, even though they claim their batteries are better than OEM. In hindsight, I should have spent the extra money and bought a replacement Dewalt battery online rather than waist $50 on a battery at this place that I'm stuck with and now does function! read more
