I had to replace a battery in my granddaughter's battery-operated scooter. The battery was unique with a plastic cover on top and two terminal wires coming out. I could not find a replacement online, or from the toy manufacturer. I stopped into Batteries Plus, and the employee told me he had the battery, but not one with a unique plastic top with the terminal wires. He then said he could make one up for me. Since the top was super glued on. He broke off the side pieces on this cover and re-glued the top to the new battery. The employee was knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced in doing this. When you really think about it, you'd be surprised how much we really need/use batteries and bulbs in our everyday lives. Sure we can run to the big box stores for basic light bulbs, but thus place carries those and more. We need bulbs for everything that produces light, not just our favorite lamp at home. And what if you want to get fancy with a colored bulb? Get it here! And when I think of batteries, I typically think basic batteries that goes in the TV remote or the smoke detector. But who thought they really go far beyond that? Cell phones, calculators, cameras, cars, watches... do people still wear watches since we always have the time on our phones? I didn't go in for any of that. I went to replace the battery in my car key! I was surprised when my car dashboard flashed low key battery. I didn't even realize my car keys had a battery. LOL This store is low-key essential. One visit and you'll see why. It's support for all the little conveniences in life! We're trained to automatically go to big box stores but this place is better. It's specialized, less crowded,and the prices are comparable, if not less expensive. It's a great store for all you Battery and Bulb needs!!! btw, did you know DURACELL makes Car Batteries? I've been needing a spare key and fob for sometime now and when I finally contacted the dealership to price it out; their fee was exorbitant. I then came across a Yelp review of this place and decided to contact them to see if they might be able to help. After calling and seeing that they did have the fob and key which I needed they quoted me a price which was way less than what the dealership was quoting. I sent them the necessary information and with that they were able to secure the necessary codes and were able to program and cut the keys for my vehicle. While waiting for this to happen I was able to walk around the store and if you have any battery or bulb need, trust me these guys can take care of you. About 2 weeks ago I inadvertently dropped my phone and didn't even realize until the next day that I jammed my volume down button into the phone. I didn't really NEED the volume down button day to day until I restarted my phone and it was forever stuck in safe mode due to it registering the button as being down. First, I called Samsung. "Yes send it to us and we will send it back in 1-2 weeks. We will have to wipe your phone completely so make sure you back it up. Here's your return mailing label with your name and address spelled wrong." Noooooooooo thanks. So I asked friends for tips and someone recommended Batteries Plus Bulbs. Originally I went to Hamden's store only to find out they don't work on my model of phone. He told me Joe in Orange works on that. After the whole safe mode fiasco, I took a trip down and Joe ordered a frame kit to replace my broken button. When it came in, I went back to Orange and he said "Best case scenario, we can just pop out the button and use the new one. Worst case, we replace the whole frame and the screen." Well, my good fortune this Thursday, just replacing the button worked! So my fear of spending hundreds to get it fixed was reduced to $63. He and his staff (coworkers? sorry, he seemed like a manager but I could be wrong) fixed it within an hour and a half. No wiping the phone, no breaking the entire back, no upselling me. Overall, fantastic experience bringing my phone here to get it fixed. I was really dreading having to mail it out or to buy a new phone entirely. Will definitely go back here again once stupidity hits again and I manage to drop the phone and damage something else :) read more

Most of the auto businesses that supposedly specialize in this work in the area have less than stellar reviews in Yelp so I decided to do a deeper search and found this place, which had 4.5 stars by customers. It's a small business that has excellent customer service with a personable staff. Though I just utilized them for a car battery I plan on going to them for other services as I discovered they offer many. Highly recommended. read more

Although based on the name it doesn't seem like it, these guys do phone/laptop/computer repair too! I had tried to take my laptop to several repair shops (and home depot!) trying to remove and replace the battery in my laptop. They all failed, but it took the guys here like five minutes. They're legitimately magic, and on top of that they were professional, friendly, and courteous as could be. Definitely coming here in the future if I need more repairs, or if I need batteries or lightbulbs. read more

Have bought and had installed watch batteries, my car battery, just bought regular batteries. Staff always take care of one customer at a time, love that. Sure I can buy batteries just about anywhere, drug store, big box store, but I want to know I am getting the best product for my needs, and they always have it. Called ahead to see if they could fix my iphone camera, said they had the parts. Went in and they told me itd take 45 minutes. I waited. Then i went back in the store and they said they did not have the part because a different part was broken then they thought. They looked up how to fix it in a book. And. It was never fixed, left it there over night even. The manager did offer to have me come back in and they would put a part in for free and if it didnt work take it out no charge, just to see. The store owner in Orange, CT - Joe - gave me a defective car battery a Duracell 101. Cost me over $200. He refused to give me a refund EVEN AFTER HE TESTED IT AND ADMITTED THAT IT WASN'T HOLDING A CHARGE! Very bad business. He offered me store credit which I did not want as I had already purchased another battery that worked perfectly. I ended up just taking a new battery as he wouldn't give me a refund. Who even knows if it works. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy just didn't care. I will never step foot in there again and would definitely not recommend this store to anyone. read more

Logged on to their website to schedule a replacement battery for my 3rd generation iPad. They called back the next day to say they can only do an in-store replacement if the screen needs replacing too. Mine has not a scratch. They can send it off-site for repair which takes 5-7 days. I recently purchased an FOB at Batteries Plus Bulbs for my 2013 Nissan Altima around August 2018 as a backup to my regular FOB for this car. The Orange store is about a 20 minute drive from my house, and after three separate trips up there, it was finally programmed successfully. The reasons for the separate trips were something along the lines of the FOB was not initially in stock; then after receiving a call saying it was in stock, I was informed (this was my 2nd 20 minute ride) that it was the wrong FOB, so then I had to come back for the third time in which it was successfully programmed. Sometime around 6 months later, the FOB was giving me a "Low Battery" indication, but it had still worked. Then, about 6 months after that it died completely. I then purchased a new battery at the Orange store but found the FOB did not work. At this point I was informed that when a FOB dies, it needs to be reprogrammed. Do you think someone could have told me that when I first purchased the FOB?! So recently (twice) I went back to the Orange store to have the FOB reprogrammed and both times the store employees could not successfully reprogram the FOB. In fact, the last time I was there (today) the store rep said he would need to reprogram both FOBs (the one I purchased at the store and the FOB that came with the car) in order for this to work. I said no way is he touching my original FOB that came with the car, unless I wanted my car stuck in your Orange parking lot indefinitely since I knew he would not be able to program any of these FOBs successfully. So, basically, five trips later, and approximately $155 later, I am stuck with a FOB purchased at your store that does not work. This is clearly unacceptable. read more
