Chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and petit four.
Holly P.

I visited here for the first time a few weeks ago. We found street parking to pay for across the street from the bakery. It's a small but cute bakery. They surprisingly had quite a few options. The staff didn't go out of their way to be friendly or anything but they did their job. I purchased a petit four, a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake. The petit four was a bit too sweet for me but that may be how they are traditionally made in New Orleans. I really enjoyed the cupcakes. I liked that they did not have any filling inside because I do not prefer stuffed cupcakes. The cupcakes were so tasty and weren't overly sweet. I look forward to returning to try some of their other items as there were several appealing choices.

I have been to the Hammond location and was excited to come support the NOLA one. It is a very cute shop, located in a great area right across the street from The Virgin Hotel and Forbidden Pizza. They have great displays, cute treats and I love the vibe and decor. I am definitely coming back to snag a cute shirt as this is a great way to support a small business that actually lasts (not like the treats I devour and never see again). While they are known for their creative drinks and girly sweets, I personally came here to for one thing, the pop tart. This was one of their primary popular items and it was quite good. You could taste the freshness of the pastry and shop made strawberry jam (that actually tasted like strawberries)! Their brownies were also good and I much preferred the plain over frosted. Overall, I found their pastries too sweet and knowing this, I would most likely not go back and order more of them or drinks (as I prefer a black coffee). Also, I understand the neighborhood has high demand/rent, but $5.50 for a 6 inch pasty (the pop tart) is a little steep. I really appreciated that they were very attentive to guests, especially this older lady in the shop that was asking a lot of questions. Their patience was really sweet to see, especially from the younger generation. However, with only 3 guests in the shop, it took them about 15 minutes to get my order and an additional 5+ to actually pack it, when it was just three pastries to go. While I understand they have a dine in setup, the majority of people stopping at a bakery are picking up, so service should be quicker. This is a cute place to take a niece or daughter or for a photo op, so I recommend it to those with loved ones who would enjoy.

Batter is such a cute spot! I loved the vibe, especially the pink seating and all the natural light. It's a great place to sit and relax. The service was pretty quick as there was no wait at the time. All the pastries looked incredible, but the caramel apple Pop-Tart was the absolute winner. It was amazing and I've been thinking about it ever since I left! I also tried the King Cake Petite Fleur. It was okay, but the flavors didn't stand out quite as much as the Pop-Tart. For drinks, I had the King Cake iced latte and the Tiramisu iced latte. The cream cheese cold foam on the King Cake latte was the perfect touch and really tied it all together. Definitely worth a visit for a coffee and a treat!

Came in today and got a cookie butter latte, high quality coffee and the taste was great and Very smooth. I also got an almond croissant, strawberry pop tart, ooey gooey sandwich cookie and tasted the Nicole latte too. Almond croissant was amazing, soft with a great flavor. The pop tart was good but very sweet, the kids liked this one and same with the cookie. I tasted the Nicole and it was really good too, I would prefer the cookie butter latte though. It is priced extremely fair, on par with Starbucks. Location is amazing and easily accessible but you will most likely be paying to park but in CBD that's as to be expected. Very clean, nicely stocked and even had women's feminine products in the bathroom which is so sweet. I've spoked to the owner a few times and this business is definitely her baby, you can absolutely tell she puts her heart into it.

Cute pink themed bakery and cafe. The cake balls and latte were fine, but not necessarily standout. Coffee took a longer time to be ready.

My guilty pleasure is sweets. So I saw that there was a new bakery called Batter so I had to try it of course lol. The service is very slow, but the individuals working there are nice and welcoming. I have been three times now and got something different every time. My favorite so far is the cinnamon roll, which is usually very sweet but this one was not! I was so happy it wasn't, it was the perfect amount of sweetness and not overwhelming. The brownie with the cookie dough on top was entirely too sweet, I ended up throwing half of it away. All the other sweet treats I had were great! The cookies are thick, so buying one is equivalent to two regular cookies. Also, they're open on Sundays!! This place is a must try, but be mindful of what you choose.

This bakery is beautiful and chic and pink and has the sweetest staff. This bakery kept falling in my socials with glorious pics and reels of yumminess, I had to finally check it out. There is off street parking and when I opened the door, the bakery looked so clean with pops of pinks throughout. I loved the decor! I go up to the glass case where there's so many delectable looking treats making it so difficult on what to choose, the young lady behind the counter helped assist me by recommending her favs. One of course is their famous pop tarts. I also added a cookie cake slice with lots of icing on it (only way a cookie slice should be), as well as a couple of cupcakes, and a brownie (also with lots of icing on it, as it should be). That pop tart though! Oh my gosh, forget those fake flavored Kellog's ones I thought I loved from the 90s. No this is legit. It was fresh, filled with what tasted like real strawberry filling. I wish I had ordered more pop tarts - and plan to be back for more pop tarts. The cupcakes were very tasty! The cookie slice was good, but not as good as my favorite which is from Funky Treats. And the brownie, was ok, it may have been my least favorite. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed all my treats. And like I said, that pop tart, I can't wait to get more of those along with all the other treats I didn't try. Not to mention they do serve coffee as well. Keep up the great work!

Fun spot for desserts, however, I wish they had more breakfast options. I believe it'll do well because there aren't many spots like this in the area. Had to try the king cake pop tart which was sweet, but that's a given!

I work nearby and oh my god. The best and worst thing ever. Every single cookie, cake, etc I have tried is insanely delicious. Like knock your socks off good. The staff always greet me at the door and are always extremely kind and courteous. Come here to satisfy your sweet tooth and you won't be disappointed

Everything croissant and cookie butter latte.
Deb G.

What a cute place! As everyone has mentioned, it's all millennial pink and very girly. However, the coffee and pastries do not disappoint! I got a cookie butter latte and an everything croissant and my friend got peppermint latte and a cinnamon roll. Super tasty! I liked the cream cheese and scallion filling with the everything croissant, and the cookie butter latte was not too sweet but fantastic. My friend loved her stuff as well!

Showgirl Box

These might be some of the best baked goods I've ever had! The chocolate chip cookie and petit fours were to die for! I can't wait to go back and try more. The showgirl box was so unique and beautiful! I was really impressed. The inside was very clean and pretty. The employees were super sweet and helpful as well. The only downside is the parking! It is atrocious but that's downtown for ya and something they can't fix! I will for sure be back :)

this spot is so cute and girly! The interior is pink and it's in the heart of CBD across virgin hotel so the best spot for a coffee and pastry while you're strolling around! The pastries were super yummy, but very sweet so be prepared if you're not someone that has a super big sweet tooth. The cupcake pictured was super fluffy and moist. The prices were super reasonable and I'd love to come back and do work in the cafe during the day!

Iced coffee and brookie
Bronte W.

Stopped by while on vacation and got a brookie and let me tell you that thing was AMAZING. It makes me want to move to New Orleans so I can eat one every week. The service wasn't super fast but we also had a large group and the coffee was made as ordered and were complex so it was understandable. The decor was very cute with everything pink and white. Will be back for 10 more brookies!

I hear they're moving to a larger place which they have earned. When I first met the couple after they just opened this joint I was impressed with their leap of faith to create this place. The interior is an Alice in Wonderland full of whimsy, interesting art and beautifully designed decor that screams fun. Just like on my first JazzFest in 1987 an elderly man with one tooth in his mouth ambled up to me and said "if you can't have fun in New Orleans, you ain't got a pulse" My friend and I ordered the following Gris Gris with espresso: gris gris banana brown sugar gelato, praline rum ball, brûléed banana, caramel rum drizzle, cinnamon dust, espresso boozy version option: spiced rum evo drizzle option: koroneiki It was delicious and was a perfect ending after we had a great meal. I look forward to their move to their new location which I heard will have an event space. All the best to Drip and the Drippetts.

If I were rating atmosphere alone- 3 stars would be generous…read more I am rating product and service because adding "ambiance", would do those who work here and their product a disservice. It takes a while to get your order because of low staffing. That said, when you get it of course it's beautiful and tastes great. Sitting just around the corner from Bourbon St. and the hustle and bustle energy that you walk thorough to get here- walking in was disappointing. It's a large open space with seating- and it's QUIET. No background music. It gives late night diner vibes and honestly, that's too bad. Adding music, upbeat- doesn't have to sound like a club but music and having more energy between staff and customers would greatly improve the experience and I believe, increase business. If there were some Fats Domino or 90s R&B flowing out of speakers and staff were smiling, upbeat, dancing etc. it would give more "legendary" experience verses midnight diner vibe. That alone made me not want to come back. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol so stopping to sit for a well made artistic milkshake is a great option. The energy brings down the vibe and experience. Match the ambiance, service and vibe to your menu and 5 stars all day.

The staff is always nice, but I feel that they are always so stressed to get the product out. The shakes are so overpriced. The small size is $1 less than twice the size. Now, you can share these delicious shakes with a friend or loved one (either size) but with tip, you're still spending $20 on one shake. Because the shakes are so elaborate and intricate, you're going to wait about 15-20 minutes per shake, even if you're the only ones there. I would love to give them more stars because it is such a delicious experience, but only have one to two people working is a very hard line to draw if you want customers to be patient/happy.

And Cafe Du Monde is a quintessential must go place in the Crescent City! Even for locals, nothing beats a plate of fresh beignets covered in powdered sugar ashes down by a nice cup of cafe au lait made with strong chickpea laced coffee. Go for the beignets and stay for the people watching. Like the food court at the Mall of America's, you'll see every walk of life come to Cafe Du Monde. You might even see a local musician or politician here. The vibe and the beignets keep people coming back. Laissez les beignets rouller!

I had the chance to come back to the city last weekend, when a good friend from my Italy days was in town for a conference. I was able to meet her to explore the city for a day, and we of course had to make room for beignets and Cafe du Monde. We almost settled for one of the locations at an indoor mall, but we stuck out a 20-30 min walk from where we were to make it to the original at the French Quarter. Since it was just two of us, we were able to get seated pretty quickly even though there was an expected Saturday morning line. I am also glad my friend had cash because they STILL only accept cash for payment. No credit cards, which is wild at any US establishment nowadays. We also tried to only order one plate of beignets (come in a set of 3) and one coffee each but the server came back with two beignet plates and coffees. $20 with tax included! The beignets themselves were scrumptious, warm, and delicious ofcourse. So I suppose worth any inconvenience that we may have experienced. However, the tables are left incredibly messy. It is true that our server did wipe off our table before we sat down but it is embarrassing to see patrons create such a mess to begin with.
