So excited to finally try Battambong BBQ! Chad was so nice and friendly. We came at the tail end of the day so there wasn't any meat selections left besides pulled pork. Nonetheless we still had quite the spread and everything was delicious! My husband and I especially loved the spicy bbq sauce.

My Cambodian sandwich was excellent. Loved the tri-tip and I even got free samples of the brisket and sausage. Everything was so damn delicious and the owner was really cool. The location was outside of a brewery which was a perfect match for the food.

Battambong BBQ is a perfect representation of Long Beach, which has one of the largest Cambodian communities in the United States. They have Texas style BBQ with subtle Cambodian Flavors. I went with a three-meat combo for $50, which was definitely filling for my wife and I (though we also had the meats with rice at home). Their brisket is a must have; however, we are also glad that we got their pork belly and baby back ribs in our combo. The smoke flavor was strong and assertive as it deeply permeated the meat. The flavor was so intense that I didn't even need sauce. The good news is that their BBQ sauce is pretty delicious. If you go with their Spicy sauce, it actually packs a punch. If you want something that's more representative of Cambodian flavor, go with their smoked sausage or with one of their sandwiches. It can be a little tricky to find Battambong BBQ, but the best way is to follow them on instagram (@BattambongBBQ), where they post their schedule weekly. On this particular friday, they were at Ten Mile Brewing in Signal Hill. Battambong's BBQ, though it can be hard to access, is one of my favorite spots for BBQ in LB.

    Brisket Combo, Pork Nachos

Best brisket I've ever had! Really liked the pork nachos, garlic noodles, and corn. The mac and cheese was solid but not my favorite. Overall, really great value for the price!

I've made the drive up to Ten Mile Brewery from San Diego before to check out the food made by The Cambodian Cowboy before and it never disappoints! The first time I tried the food was at a Cambodian New Year festival. I got the loaded nachos and they were GOOD! Flavorful, cheesy, loaded with toppings (no photo unfortunately because the camera did not eat first in that case lol). I did appreciate that when we were ordering, the lady helping us advised us on getting the smaller portion because they really do load them up. The second time was at another festival, where we got a shared platter (see photo) and the food, especially the meat was just as good!

Two item combo: Twako, Smoked trip tip

I finally got to try Battambong Bob's Battambong BBQ dishes Since this was that the Khmer festival, we got: Combo plate - Two item combo: $35 -- Twako -- Smoked tri tip -- Garlic noodles -- Cambodian slaw -- Cambodian-style coconut cream -- BBQ sauce - Two item combo: $35 -- Smoked brisket, -- Pulled pork -- Garlic noodles -- Cambodian slaw -- Cambodian-style coconut cream -- BBQ sauce I loved the twako (Khmer sausage) - it's something I grew up with; it was so flavourful and well-made. The smoked tri trip and brisket were good; I loved the Kampot peppers that were used. While the slaw and garlic noodles weren't my thing, I loved the coconut corn - it reminded me of the burn whole corn I grew up eating in Phnom Penh by the riverside - with fish sauce, coconut cream, and spring onions. - Long Beach Nachos: Pulled pork served on crunchy corn nachos with smoked cheddar cheese, smoked Cambodian-style coconut cream, choice of smoked meats, Battambong BBQ sauce, aioli, Mexican creme, tapatio sauce, guacamole, jalapanos, pickles, and hot peppers. $15 I wasn't a big fan of nachos because the cheese wasn't melted throughout, instead it formed a top layer with the nachos underneath. It did have a decent portion of meat, so I'll give them that. Orders took a while, but given this was a festival, I can understand why. The one star of fis for pricing and options - the spare ribs were sold out 2 hours into a 6 hour event, which was disappointing. I'd probably come back and try them when they're at the brewery again.

I really wanted to like this place. I have always supported the BBQ places at Smorgasburg (Moo's, Smokequeen, etc). I have been to Austin, Houston and have had many great BBQs there including Franklins. I must say, this place was disappointing. First, you can see from the photo I took the first thing you see is the slice of brisket which is like 80% fat. Bro, why even serve that to a customer that is paying premium for brisket? No one is trying to get a bit of 100% fat. Anyway, besides that, it was underseasoned which was a shocker to me. The chicken was mid and the sausage was ok.

$50 plus tax. Was suppose to get 3 items but they only gave us two items. 3 pcs of ribs and 4 half size briskets.

I wanted to love this place. Supporting the Asian community but this will be my first and last time. Got to their popup at Rice Strings at 1130am. 230pm finally got our food. We were 8th in line and they didn't have anymore of what we ordered but didn't bother to tell us (pork belly). Instead they just have it to us as is with just two types of meat versus 3 types that we ordered (brisket, pork rib, pork belly was not included). $50 plus tax for 3 pieces of pork ribs and two long briskets cut in half to make 4. They didn't even give us the option to pick another 3rd meat option for our combo.. Everything was cold when we got it, we ate it right there in the car. Noodles were dry, flavorless, just smoky. Briskets was dry without the sauce. Ribs were dry but good flavor. I wish, after waiting for them 3 hrs after supposedly opening that the food would at least be warm. Portions are incredibly small for what they post online and advertised all over social media. Never again. Other's that got their food was also complaining about the portion that the person helping them said that the 2 to 3 items would feed up to 4 people. Some also said the social media advertising was a joke. I can sadly agree with them in that. Let me tell you, the 3 items combo only feeds 1 person who eats in moderation.

Usually a lot of IG review on food places disappointment me but not this bbq joint. I tried their BBQ at the SEA Night market in Lodi, CA. I would have to say their brisket is good as Texas bbq. Garlic noodles & Mac n' cheese is good. Their Cambodian sausage was meh but it's because I'm used to eating Lao sausage so their sausage might be good to you.

I enjoyed the food at a pop up at Ten Mile Brewing Company. The guys were super friendly and awesome. I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the pulled pork nachos very much. Probably one of the best versions of barbecue nachos I've ever had.

As a slightly unexpected review for this page-I actually had my first Battambong experience at Coachella! They were a vendor in the food hall, and while I had thought I would be getting tacos, the moment I saw the words "ribs" on their menu I knew what my body which had already walked a mere 8 miles in the festival that day needed. Ribs are love, ribs are life, and these ones did not miss. Only slightly hallucinating, I asked the staff for help deciding how many ribs I should get. The worker was so kind, and helped make my Coachella experience that much better. Next thing you know, I'm sitting down facing the most beautiful meat I believe I have ever laid eyes on. Batta-bing batta-boong, the ribs were inhaled and I felt alive again. The meat fell off the bone, and their side of coconut corn was intriguing and also delish. Feeling grateful for ribs and Battambong as a whole.

I've been following this pitmaster since he started. I finally got the opportunity to go and experience this magic. Follow him on social media to find out where he is for the day. This is a pop up location. There are several different kinds of meats, but we got ribs, pork belly and Cambodian sausage. I've never had Cambodian sausage before, but it was really tasty. The outside had a nice crispy snap to it. It was very good. The pork belly was amazing. Great semi sweet sauce. Grilled to perfection. The ribs were awesome, perfect consistency, pulled off the bone nicely. Very tender. The meals came with: garlic noodles, very yum Cambodian corn, I'm not sure what was in it, but it was good. Pickled slaw- And I love pickled anything. And it came with like a pickled spicy jalapeño slaw. I could eat this by the gallon. This was delicious. I sampled the brisket and omg. So good. We'll be back.

Great food. THE SAUCES?! Best tasting I've ever had. Great service and you can bet I'm coming back for that tri-tip... #moreplease

Where is this located? Only open on Saturday?

Best to follow them on IG @battambongbbq, they're at Bixby Knolls farmers market 3-7pm on Thursdays and Ten Mile brewery in Signal Hill - weekends I think. They'll be there this Saturday Aug 6th for sure...

My review is based on the food truck. It was my son's birthday. He was allowed to chose anything he wanted for dinner. Any price point... anything. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.
