So my friend asked me if I wanted to make the hour drive up to Palm Beach because a friend of hers declared Batch as having "the best chicken and waffles in south Florida." We had to try it. Knowing it was a popular spot, we made reservations via open table for Sunday brunch. We had no wait at all and without reservations the wait would've been over an hour so I strongly recommend reservations. I came already knowing I wanted to order the chilled oysters but unfortunately they were all out. I was surprised they were out already since it was only 11:30am and they open at 10 on Sundays but our server explained they got slammed with oyster orders the previous day. Bummer but no biggie. I ordered some biscuits instead. They were delicious...crispy on the outside, soft & buttery on the inside. For my main course I ordered the short rib burger and added candied bacon, fried egg, and cheese. I had high hopes for this burger but I must admit I agree with a few other reviewers who said the patty was bland. And there was hardly any aioli on it. I thought about asking for more aioli but it decided eh it wasn't that serious. While we're on the topic of the burger I have to talk about one weird thing that happened. About 10 minutes after I placed my burger order I realized our server never asked me what temperature I wanted it. I brought it to her attention and she said that she already put it in as well done. I told her no I don't like well done, and asked for medium rare. She did not apologize but she did promptly tell the kitchen and my burger came out properly cooked. The issue I'm having is why would she assume I wanted it well done? Why would she just select a temperature herself instead of asking me? And even if she did select the temp herself why would she assume well done and not something in the middle like medium? I have a theory as to why she assumed I wanted it well done but for the sake of the review I will keep that to myself. Anyway while I did not order the chicken and waffles, one of my friends did so I tasted hers. It was good. Was it amazing? No. But good. All in all Batch was ok to me. Unfortunately I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would nased on the menu & reviews. I would be willing to return to try other dishes but I wouldn't go out of my way and make the 1-hour trip again just for it. I would go if I'm already in the area. Which is rare. read more

Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The hot sauce is a must. Lots of flavor. My wife and daughter had the chicken pot pie. They said delicious. Biscuit top was perfect. The other daughter had the St. Louis ribs. Smothered in a good sauce. Generally prefer to have sauce on the side. She said the ribs were good. read more

For my wife's birthday we decided to have Sunday Brunch at Batch New Southern Kitchen and I will tell you how good the food was!! I ordered fried chicken with grits, eggs and gravy. I am telling you this was amazing! Grits seasoned perfectly with the gravy off to the side. Dipped my golden brown chicken tenders in the gravy along with the grits, made it all come together. We ordered biscuits for the table before the entrees came out and these were from scratch, warm and soft inside with a slight crunch to the outer biscuit. Our server was very pleasant and responsive. He asked about our occasion and said it was my wife's birthday and he asked about a birthday shot for my wife. Which she said yes! We didn't wait long for our orders and it was all as promised. From scratch and all fresh tasting. For Sunday brunch it was a nice vibe with music playing and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely return to try the chicken sliders read more

Stopped in for a late lunch and Tess was our server.!!! Tess is fantastic !! We will be back to have her help us again!

We came in on a Sunday around noon- the indoors were completely packed and the outdoors had very little seating. They had a DJ indoors, and he kept the good vibes going throughout our visit. We were told it would be about 35 minutes for a table, but thankfully we were sat outside almost immediately. We would have waited for an inside table but too music was loud for conversation. I would certainly return for brunch if I ever want bottomless mimosas and fun atmosphere along with a reservation. It was evident the restaurant was very busy; we were told by our server, Candace, the kitchen was taking a long time to get the food out. I'm glad she told us, so we knew what to expect. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders, hoping it would arrive sooner than the rest, as an appetizer, which it did. Delicious golden fries with the perfect crispy texture. The menu listing has no mention of fries, so it was a pleasant surprise. The sliders were good. Our server was attentive and patient with us the entire time. Deciding what to eat and drink was difficult. My friend is the type to ask for recommendations, then turn down every recommendation. I ordered the Southern Crab Cake Benedict- it comes with crispy golden potatoes. Perfectly poached eggs. Delightfully crispy bacon. Notably FRESH crab cake, lying atop what appeared to be  a lightly breaded golden tomato- delicious. I also tried plenty of the Chicken 'n' Waffles. My friend ordered it Nashville hot. Not my preference, but I still loved it! Crispy chicken skin and juicy, moist chicken. The waffles- I've never had a savory waffle but this was done perfectly!  We sat next to a table of 3 young ladies. You could tell they were young. They were  screeching like hyenas, yelling, just overall a lack of table manners. 2 of them sent their food back to the kitchen in exchange for chicken and waffles. The manager came to the table and handled it very well. We were not intentionally eavesdropping; they were just 2-3 feet away from us. Their lack of etiquette and manners was overwhelmingly obvious. I got a little water splashed on me, and my friend got a piece of chicken flung onto him, because they were acting as toddlers would with food. They left the table a mess beyond what is expected or considerate. I could not help but to highlight how professional the waitress was with these young girls. They were petulant, demanding, ill-tempered customers, but our server delivered the service with the utmost positive attitude. Thank you Batch, I hope to be back early on the weekend for bottomless mimosas! read more

After having this place bookmarked on yelp forever...we finally went during happy hour/dinner. Started off with deviled eggs (I call myself a deviled egg connoisseur with my goal to find the BEST), cathead biscuits, and bacon tots. The deviled eggs were presented beautifully! And the candied bacon really made the flavor memorable. Bacon tots were so good my husband had a second order. Great for the bacon and cheese lover. The cathead biscuits stole the show. They came out piping hot! Served with a thyme chili honey (? I think- either way it was delicious) and the jam for that evening was a local strawberry/boysenberry/something else that tasted amazing! Like Christmas in a flavor! The bourbon maple butter was my husbands favorite and combining one or more of the flavors was fun. I ordered the homemade ginger beer, which was not overly sweet like say--city cellars homemade ginger beer. For dinner, my husband had the burger with cheese and bacon added. Idk if the cheese was added at the beginning of cooking, and kind of melted into "one with the patty" but we couldn't find the slice of cheese in the burger when it came to our table. My sweet tea brined Country fried porkchop was delicious!! The crust held The gravy well and the porkchop was extremely Moist. However, the cardamom sweet potatoes were awful! I can compare it to chewing on potpourri...it's ALL you tasted. I didn't even take them home with me, and the few scoops that did make it home I threw away. Won't take off a star for one bad side, willing to try the rest of the menu! And the service was A+++ I think the manager came out several times to check on us and our waitress was extremely informative and polite!! read more

I was so sad I missed the presentation of the Bread pudding but this is all that was left of the Berry Bread Pudding, Not the best I have ever had... but really good! Joined a couple of friends for dinner tonight at this newer place on Climates Street, Downtown and let me tell you the food was fricken Delicious ! The only negative was nothing I ate tonight was on my eating plan... bummer but well worth the calories today! I had the Fried Chicken Pork Chop and it was one of the best I have had in years. My wife tried the house specialty Chicken and Waffles did I mention I was off my diet today... cause you have to be to enjoy a delicious meal like this. Lightly coated fried chicken with a slight kick of Cayenne Pepper.. seemed that everything had that delicious light kick to it. Our friends went with the Salmon very nicely done and the Chicken pot pie. Our Waiter Vinny made some great suggestions I will definitely be back but will have to spend all week in the gym to knock off the extra calories. I will be thinking of this delicious meal for weeks! read more

This restaurant is amazing...from the host to the manager!! I'm a breastfeeding mother and they totally accommodated us so that I could have a booth that was secluded. The server Mikayla gave us the best recommendations and we followed her guide and we were not disappointed!! She was super friendly and took her time to really get to know us as a family. This seems to be a rarity these days. The food was top notch as well. The burnt ends were to die for and the Nashville hot chicken sliders were so savory and delicious. We will be back for sure and hopefully we will see Mikayla again too. She is a super great server. Thank you!! read more

First of all the food at batch is already amazing. I got the steak and eggs but the SERVICE?! Honestly top tier, everyone is so amazing and accommodating , my order was made to perfection and my waiter Pat was such a joy and so knowledgeable about the menu. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and that made our experience so great, I'm recommending all of my friends and colleagues to this location because not only will they be wowed by the food but touched by the service! thanks again Batch & Pat for another perfect experience! read more

I'm updating my review today because my wife chose Batch for Father's Day (which was super thoughtful because we had such a great time here last time). Well she made a reservation for the 3 of us; myself, her and our baby. Well her father surprised her by coming in town with his wife so we needed to update out our reservations to 5. Trying to be secretive and surprise us all, she wasn't able to answer the call when they tried confirming yesterday so she tried calling this morning to update the reservation. She wasn't able to change them but they said that we were seated at table for 4 which was perfect. When we arrived they wanted to sit us out in the sun with an infant and said that we'd have to wait an hour if we wanted to sit inside. It didn't seem like anyone really cared to accommodate. When our waitress came to take our orders, she definitely did not present with any southern hospitality. Had it not been for the free Old Fashioned, I know my wife would have been really disappointed in this experience. I know she had super high expectations since it's my first fathers and and we made the most of it being her first Father's Day with her father. Could it have been better if the staff was more friendly, absolutely. Was the food good, absolutely. Would we be back based on this experience, probably not. read more

Meh. Ordered 4 items 1 was very good. 1 went back and 2 were just blah. Yup he Nashville hot chicken wings are the only thing to get here. The Mac n cheese is gritty weird texture and the chicken strips on top were dry and nasty. Burger was terrible. Nothing here worth coming back for. Tons of great restaurants around. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant but the road is under construction so we thought that might have been the issue. We ordered deviled eggs, a salad with grilled chicken and a brisket burger. They use candied bacon on several dishes -including the eggs and burger- it was not to our liking. Service was slow considering we were the server's only table. The salad was very basic. We each had two drinks -beer and wine. For what we ate we thought it was expensive. Won't be going back.... read more

Really cool place. Comfort food at its best. I had the chicken and waffles and it was pretty dope - we don't have great meals like that up north, so it was nice to have the southern touch. The butter had some sort of incredible flavor for the waffle- then add the spice of the Nashville chicken ....it was all great. I started off with the burnt ends which were to die for. Great touch with the fried onions beneath . The cocktail was so refreshing. It was actually from a tap ! If you're in west palm beach, get over to this spot . I'll be baaaaaaack read more

Batch new southern is a fun and tasty brunch spot. From bottomless mimosas to crispy fried chicken and waffles to the desserts! This southern spot is delicious! I recommend going on a Sunday when they have a DJ completing the scene and bumping up the ambiance. Went here for brunch today and I was really impressed. We were celebrating a birthday and they were extremely accommodating with our reservation. We had 8 people. The unlimited drinks were great. You can mix & match. My favorite was the Sangria that has fresh ginger & peach. My Bloody Mary wasn't part of unlimited but it was really good. The food was great. I hate when you get unlimited drinks and horrible food. This was not the case. We all had different things and they were all great . My crispy chicken skillet was awesome. My aunt loved her salad . Great service with an abundant selection of tasty southern cuisine. Would definitely recommend for date night!

Sometimes you just walk into a place and know, you know what I mean.?My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to attend Lisa C.s first UYE.with a little help from Patty. We didn't have a shower,or vacation,to go to and luckily,we didn't wind up at Batch in Delray. Great vibe as you walk in,huge bar to your right, with lots of fresh herbs ontop, that they use for special drinks. As we were seated at our reserved table right in the middle of the establishment ,we noticed the hustle and bustle of the servers, and watched all the plates being served, which made it difficult to choose from the menu, because everything looked really good.I started with Concrete Beach Rose Ale,pretty interesting taste.I liked it. I ordered the smoked duck hash,my wife ordered the eggs benidict.I heard good things about the deviled, eggs, and if I knew earlier that some one had ordered, the eggs,I probably would have swiped one.The service was very good,it was busy ,so I do not mind waiting a little bit. After everyone was served ,my duck hash, finally came out, best for last they say.At first I didnt exactly know what I was looking at,probably because I didnt really read the description of the dish and just ordered duck. The duck was cubed, cooked perfectly, and after realizing exactly what I ordered.which was, Smoked Duck Hash House-Cured Duck, Pecanwood-Smoked Bacon, Poached Eggs, Peppers & Onions, Smoked Paprika Aioli, Smashed Potatoes, there was plenty of duck to go around.Oddly the potatoes were not smashed, but cubed and also cooked perfectly. I definitely would order again. My wife said her entree was good as well, and I agree ,since I tasted a big bite.We had a great table, with good people and good conversations thru out.My only complaint, and why its a 4 star, was the music. At times,so loud,I could not hear the person next to me,poor Melodie had to listen to me in my loud voice.Sorry Melodie. As we were paying our bills,we all received, batch pint glasses with batch flyers in them.which was very cool.My wife noticed one of the flyers said free beer sampling with brunch.OK, so I said ,Hey bartender, and he said only the Copperpoint lager is free, then $5 after that. The sample was a full glass, that Lisa soon followed and received her free sample also.We had a great time, and definitely will be going back.Thank you Lisa and Patty for putting this together. read more

While in West Palm for a conference, I had the opportunity to try Batch. I really enjoy their concept: "home"-made Southern Comfort food. And boy, do they do it well. You have your typical Southern options: fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, BBQ, Cajun boil. It's as Southern as you can get here! They also make in-house several of their drinks, they have different alcoholic options, beers from local breweries, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that their ginger beer (I know that it's not beer) was also made in-house (and it was one of the best tasting ginger beers I've had). The comments on the food, fried chicken and waffles, the fried chicken was good, but the person eating it wasn't sure about the pairing with waffles. Though, it might be an operator error rather than fault on the food. It wasn't too sweet, which was appreciated. The shrimp and grits was flavorful; the grits were made well, and shrimp grilled to perfection. However, I wasn't sure about the sauce that went with it. It was good, but didn't blow my mind. The Cajun boil was complimented, being flavorful and very good. The service was definitely there, and in several of my reviews, what makes or breaks a restaurant is really the service. Food can be good and service be sucky, and it would just ruin the night. At Batch, they definitely treat you like a customer and want to ensure that you have a pleasant experience. Interesting tidbit, they have mouthwash in their washrooms. I also really liked that it was a place where you could have a conversation, instead of having to yell over the table. Definitely +1 there! read more

The atmosphere was buzzy and lively on a Friday night. Service was good if not a bit confusing with many wait staff dropping by. Its difficult to hear over the racket especially for the Over 40s. Lol. The cocktails are quality and fun. Each one seemed well crafted and tasty. The desserts were a hit: banana puddin' is served in a huge jar! You have to dump it on a plate to get to the vanilla wafers on the bottom. Chocolate pecan pie is to die for. I would come just to eat that. The entrees were disappointing. All of them (jambalaya, shrimp and grits) were really bland. My grits were dry and the few shrimp were over cooked and plopped unceremoniously on top. Jambalaya contained few shrimp with canned tomatoes dumped on reconstituted rice. Meh. Clematis St. has become a tourist trap. Restaurants aren't motivated to produce excellence but Batch does try. read more

Found this place via yelp decided to give them a try. Went around 9pm on a Sunday last night not much tables at all probably around 4 others tables. Decor/ Ambience: 5/5 cute spot for brunch especially and picture taking. It's nicely designed with modern decor and colorful lighting on the bar. Service: 5/5 Excellent service. Our server was really friendly and personable. But not overbearing at all. He was really attentive but there wasn't many other people. Drinks 5/5- I've honestly Never had cocktails this yummy for less than $20. I had the cucumber crush and the southern bell. Both cocktails were so fresh and well crafted. Food: 4/5 Starters- we ordered half a dozen oysters , loaded fries, and the mac attack $12 to share. We added a drizzle of truffle oil $2.50 to the mac it was so delicious and a decent size. We shared this between 3 people and still had leftovers. The loaded fries were really fresh with lots of flavor and we also comfortably shared this dish. Entree-I ordered Shrimp and Grits it was just okay. Shrimps were a tad salty and Grits were ok I couldn't taste much flavor at all considering the Grits were jalapeño cheddar. I would pass next time. Dessert -we shared the bread pudding and it was so delicious we had to talk ourselves out of getting another plate lol! Decent size, we comfortably shared this dish between the 3 of us. Completely recommend this restaurant. Regardless of the occasion you should eat here at least once! read more

My daughter and I were walking down Clematis looking for something different. We walked through the outside dining area and every table had at least one person eating chicken and waffles. We have never been here, not have we had chicken and waffles. We arrived during Saturday brunch. We asked for outdoor seating because it is so loud. The music is too loud which causes people to talk even louder. Unfortunately there were no seats available outside. We sat at a table for two basically right in the entrance. Macy was our server. It was busy and slow. The table next to us was hers as well. Our food arrived prior to theirs; they were seated first and ordered first. The food was good but not great. I ordered the southern breakfast. The eggs were rubbery, to be fair I ordered over hard but these had a strange consistency. There were a lot of grits!
