Sooo many good things to say about this place, but the service was the best part. Everyone here works as a team to make sure everyone has a great experience and excellent customer service. We got the patatas bravas and chipirones plancha for starters. They came out super fast and were so tasty! The potatoes were so perfectly cooked and seasoned. Their sangria was also great, and they make it delicious and strong! The best part of the meal was definitely the flan! I would keep coming back just for that. It's the best mix of flavors in a dessert anyone could ask for. Where they lose one star for me is the paella marisco. I was really looking forward to this part of the meal but while the flavors were great, I almost broke a tooth because it was so sandy and it felt like chewing through rocks to eat the mussels. The portions were also ginormous, and while I could see why the price would be steep, it just wasn't worth it for our experience. Maybe next time we will try one without seafood! read more

Wait time was a little unpredictable and we had to go back to the car a few times. Service was good once seated. Sangria a little too sweet but tasty. We had the lamb chops, chorizo, patatas bravas, and pan con tomate. The offerings had pretty good flavor but were hard to share, as they came in 3's and there were two of us. Nice restaurant with authentic Spanish cuisine. They are known for their Paiella. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to try it out. It takes 30min to make. Had the grilled Octopus which was tasty and tender, but it did not have the fire grill taste I was expecting. It was more of a sear. The sangria was made right in front of me, and was strong. It was not poured from a pitcher. This place does have a unique look for a nice dinner, but the restaurant itself is small. I would call to make reservations if you plan on visiting. read more

Having just been to Spain this summer we were looking for a Tapas place close to Westchester and off the Basque we went. Peirmont is an interesting river town, spiraling down from the top of the cliffs, it's very unique. This is right on the river although not with a river view. The place is cozy and warm and the service was friendly and homely - like they know you even though they just let you. The food was quick to the table as it was in Madrid and the flavors are very good. Every place in Spain has its own twist on each of the traditional tapas, as does Basque. The Patas Bravas were softer bigger cuts of potato and the Gambas was loaded with garlic - both very good! I highly recommend this establishment! read more

1st time here and definitely not our last. This place surely exceeded our expectations. After a nice hike at Tall man Mountain, we decided to check this place out. The moment we walked in, the vibe was right on. A nice bar as you enter to be seated. We were greeted so nicely, thankfully we were seated right away. The server, a spaniard man was so nice. Truly attentive & kindly explained to us specials of the day. Beside his amazing service, another server Dominic kept coming around to check up on us. Both servers truly gave us vip treatment, and as we observed they also gave the other tables excellent service. This time around Wify & I decided to just do tapas. And let me tell u, f-ing amazing!!! The gambas a la plancha, cola al ajillo, pulpo a la plancha & chorizo... BANGING!!! All fresh ingredients, especially the garlic. I've attached a few pics so you can see the deliciousness & superb presentation in every dish. Food is great and SO plentiful! We had the filet tips to start- a little spicy but really good. The seafood paella was amazing and so much we had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. Wasn't my favorite, I'd probably get the red next time because I saw the table next to me get this, and it looked really good. We ordered a bunch of tapas to start with. The octopus, papas bravas, chorizo, fried manchego, and croquettes. It was all really good, least favorite were the croquettes, and the favorites were the octopus and manchego. We ordered a seafood paella for the table. Seafood was cooked well, my only complaint would be the rice looked very crispy and crunchy, but it wasn't so much. Our new favorite spot for a special occasion or just for a really satisfying meal! All their tapas are larger portions, highly recommend the steak tips! Although we've tried the artichokes, shrimps, patatas bravas, manchego, shishito peppers, pulpo, croquettes, and enjoyed them all. Don't skip on the paella, seafood and steak are both great options. Small and cozy with friendly welcoming service, this Tapas Bar has a very large menu of Tapas as well as full dinner selections. The menu itself has so many tempting things on it. Our group opted for TAPAS and we were all very pleased with the food we chose. We didn't get any paella, or meat and cheese boards, but they were coming out of the kitchen very quickly, so I'd wager they were worth ordering. Of the items we did order the highlights were the octopus and the squid dishes. Octopus and squid are difficult to cook properly and these were perfect, tender and sweet with just enough of the seasoning to enhance and not hide the flavor of the seafood itself. I'd easily eat several plates of these. The chorizo were also very delicious. One item I would critique was the cajun spiced tuna cubes. the spices was a bit heavy and overwhelmed the tune and our plate was unevenly cooked. Some were nicely sear and rare inside and some were overcooked. Still delicious, but compared to the octopus...this is a really good place to come for some terrific sell plates and I will hopefully be back for some paella. read more

We've been to Basque once before and loved it. We love the atmosphere, had delicious sangria, good wine, great tapas --artichoke hearts and steak tips (for my husband). LOVE the bread! I'm a vegetarian and ordered the cheese plate--expecting several different cheeses--and was shocked at the lack of choices, not to mention the price for the poor selection. While I'll go back, I'll be more careful about my choices... and there aren't too many for vegetarians. read more

So glad to have a place like this in our backyard. My husband and I have always loved going out for Spanish tapas and have had to drive out to Stamford whenever we had a craving. Someone at work suggested looking in Piermont and I'm so happy we did. Basque has the same ambiance I would expect from a tapas restaurant in NYC. The music isn't too loud, the lighting is perfectly dim, and OMG they have parking. The staff were all very nice, especially our server Olivia. Now for the food.. Did I mention that we're so happy to have this place in our backyard?! We had patatas bravas, albondigas, pulpo, and the churrasco for our main course. We enjoyed every single bite and were only sad that we couldn't eat more! The place has a nice warm atmosphere and we ordered a pitcher of red Sangria immediately. The gentleman server seemed a little rushed even though there was still a lot of empty tables. As a party of four we wanted to chat and look over the menu. We ordered chorizo, fried artichokes, lamb chops , filet mignon picante, and octopus. All was good nothing earth shattering. The filet was way too spicy. No one could finish the dish. The lamb chops were the best! Between drinks and these 5 tapas we were getting pretty full. The paella at Basque was Bomba style rice cooked in the proper paellera pan to the proper consistency. The tortilla Española was also great as were the papas bravas. Ok, so this was a very usual situation. There was some wait for a table but once we got it, we ordered a bottle of champagne that arrived minutes after we asked for it. We ordered filet mignon tips (came on a sizzling plate and were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!) we also ordered a pallea because I saw people ordered it on yelp. My fiancé and I ate the paella until I came across some sand while eating the rice. I picked up a clam that was near the spot I was eating and it was inhabited with black (what it looked like) charcoal. My fiancé told me to stop eating the rice. We told the waiter Dominiquic and he said HE'll COMP THE ENTIRE MEAL. I asked what else can be charged for because I was NOT going to leave this establishment without paying. Benny came to us and reassured us that our entire meal was comped because we found sand in our paella. I ordered a double shot of angel's envy and left the amount we were going to be charged in the tip. Honestly we found a diamond in the rough. We started off with the Vieras Rellenas, which was a seafood mixture, stuffed in a scallop shell, Gambas Ar Ajillo, shrimp with a garlic sauce, Gambas ala Plancha, which was grilled shrimp. All had nice portions. Chipirones plancha, which was a grilled baby squid. Entrees were Mariscada salsa Verde, a mixture of clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp in an amazing sauce! What an amazing experience. We had originally planned on making this a date night for myself and my husband but due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up going there as a family and felt completely at home and comfortable having a family meal in a very warm and welcoming environment. We took the recommendation of our server Dominic who brought us 3 tops dishes that were fantastic. We followed up with 3 more dishes and ended the evening with dessert and coffee drinks. The owner of the restaurant ended up bringing us complimentary aperitive that were similar to baileys Irish cream but only with a traditional Basque flavour. Usually when I go out for tapas, the fun is having and sharing a series of different small plates. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up so much that one tapas plate is the equivalent of a main course. I had the crouquets. They were very good.
