Chocolate chip

When you are visiting the little town of Half Moon Bay a lot of small businesses close around 5. There are a lot of businesses are closed. When you have a craving you just got to find something. We found Baskin Robbin's which we found open. The service was just average nothing special. The store holds the state of ice cream during this hours. The prices are more expensive compared to other BK stores. Think in the store just go to the frozen section and take the ice cream to the hotel.

Vs. cake that was received. Genuinely appalling how sloppy it was. Do not buy.

Extremely disappointing ice cream cake. I ordered the Cookie Crave Cake in a Box and it was horribly assembled and missing half of the layers. Cake was advertised to have "Layers of chocolate cake, OREO® cookie pieces, OREO® Cookies 'n Cream ice cream, whipped frosting, cookie dough pieces, more OREO® cookie pieces and fudge" - it was missing the Oreo cookie pieces layer, the whipped frosting, and the cookie dough pieces. Extremely disappointing and embarrassing to pick up and deliver to someone for their birthday. The ice cream layer was extremely uneven and just tossed on, I have never seen an ice cream cake this sloppy. Lots of space between scoops and a crater in the middle in addition to the missing components. Do not buy. Update: we stopped in the next day to explain the situation and the employee who helped us was very nice and understanding. After calling her manager twice we were able to walk out with a replacement.

I had some time to spare in Half Moon Bay around 830pm, and decided to stop by this Baskin Robbins at Hwy 1 x Route 92. When I walked in, there was no one around. Then a young lady came out and greeted me, and asked what I wanted. I asked for 2 scoops in a large cup. Wow, almost $7.00! How was the ice cream? I ordered Peanut Butter-Chocolate, and Chocolate Fudge. It tasted like supermarket ice cream. It lacked that gourmet creamiest and rich flavor. But you're buying convenience. If you feel like a dessert after dinner, or a snack, then you go to Baskin Robbins. If you're on the road, you're not going to buy a whole tub of ice cream. Baskin Robbins is a chain ice cream parlor. They offer ice cream, shakes, sundaes and cakes. Items tend to be pricey. Located at Hwy 1 x Route 92 in a small strip mall. Shares parking lot with the Burger King. It's on the westside of Hwy 1.

We wanted dessert after going to Half Moon Bay and this was one of the only things in the area that was open so we went to check it out. There's plenty of parking and they have two large open signs so you know it's open. They are following the social distancing, as the employees have face masks on and they have social distancing signs. They seemed friendly and waited to see if we had any questions.

I mean cmon... who doesn't like eating some ice cream while out enjoying the coast right ?!? Been a 31 Flavors kinda girl since I can remember and love that the flavors are still the same

Mold growing inside ice cream freezer and then dripping down into ice cream as seen pictured here

Lousy, eight dollar milkshake. It was supposed to be mint and chip. Not minty, not chocolatey, just watery and sugary.

I ordered a crepe that was nearly burnt and had a strong overcooked flavor, though my husband's breakfast was good. Additionally, the service we received on Wednesday morning, September 15, fell short of expectations. Despite there being only three other customers, the cashier did not greet us and left us waiting at the register for about five minutes to attend to other tasks. Our food was also brought out at different times, and our water was never refilled. She was not friendly or welcoming. Since KTVU recommended this restaurant, I hope this was just an isolated incident and an off day for the staff. We would be open to giving it another try in the future. I wanted to share this feedback so hopefully they'll read this and addressed the disappointing experience. Sometimes the food isn't the only thing to be considered, it's important but in my opinion service is everything.

A majority of the staff seem to have a pretty bad attitude, particularly one older gentleman who works here. I've personally witnessed him become visibly agitated and aggressive toward customers, (one had an incorrect charge and came back to fix it, and another forgot their bulk bin number. Two separate days and I caught this man on both days being rude to both women) which is incredibly off-putting. More broadly, employees often seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves than helping customers (for example this week I had to wait for staff to talk about their drunk Halloween plans for 3 minutes before scanning my items. Can we at least multitask?) , resulting in unnecessarily long checkout lines. There's also a noticeable amount of eye-rolling and attitude when customers need bags, and shopping carts are rarely collected from the parking lot. There's always multiple self check out machines that aren't working and employees won't fix them unless you hunt them down to override the issue. Which is annoying because id rather do self checkout because the staff is frustrating to work with as a customer. Honestly, the overall customer experience has become frustrating. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods consistently offer a much better shopping experience, and I really wish we had one of those options on this side of the hill. I try to drive out to Santa Cruz to go to those instead of coming here now....the staff is too off putting. Additionally, The Capitola new leaf has friendly staff. So, I don't know what's going on here. The
