Small town bakery with a good selection of cookies, donuts, bread and more. I tried some cookies to go with afternoon coffee. It's as takeout place with no seating. Decent enough.

Raspberry Crumble cookie and Walnetto cookie, $3.50 each.

IMHO On the day before the big Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, my friend and I managed to slowly drive down Main Street. Everyone it seemed was here to enjoy the town before the crowd converged on the weekend! Miraculously we found parking right in front of Half Moon Bay Bakery!!! I immediately perused the baked loaves and decided on the last Lemon Poppyseed loaf, $7. I also chose a Raspberry Crumble Cookie and a Walnetto Cookie, both $3. Both cookies were "good", but not great. I think they needed a little more butter or sugar for my taste. The Lemon Poppyseed is in the freezer, so I hope it doesn't disappoint. However, I'm sure I won't bypass this bakery the next time I visit.

My friends and I did a 20+ mile walk from the Sea (Redwood City) to the Bay (Half Moon Bay). When we arrived at Half Moon, I was very excited to check out this bakery as bakeries are one of my favorite things. Huge selection of so many goodies. Everything looked great. It was hard to choose and I ended up just looking and not buying anything as I didn't want to spoil dinner. It took great will power though. Casual. Parking on street and lots near downtown. Please come and create your own adventure.

Our favorite bakery to stop at in HMB. We had the pumpkin loaf and a sugar cookie. 10/10! Great service and love the vibe.

Can't believe this place has 4 stars, what a sham. The cannoli tasted like it was stuffed with whipped cream and imitation rum. The clerk was rude. I asked if she could split the cannoli in half and she said "there are knives out there," meaning plastic knives that don't cut through the rock hard cannoli And look at this cheese bread thingy where the cheese looks a couple days old And fiest your eyes on this sorry arse cinnamon roll that we suggested she use as a sample since it looks like it was fished out of the garbage can. But of course they left it in the case to sell This overpriced dive gets an "F" for fraud

The artichoke bread smells great freshly baked and looks amazing. But once I tasted it, it was just fine. It was plain bread with artichokes and seasonings dressed on top. Nothing to run home about, especially for the price.

This is the local bakery and it's located in the heart of the Half Moon Bay. It is run by locals and I enjoyed interacting with them. They have selection of cakes and cookies. And everyone were going for cheese cakes, we got a turtle cheese cake it was yummy. It had caramel, pecan and cheese cake. The staff was super friendly and helped us pick the right cake. And the ambiance was so chill with people walking outside.

I order a pie on Thursday or Friday for the weekend because they just don't have them laying around and this time it's an Apple Pie . Absolutely ridiculous Delicious! My Wife wrecked her dinner out by eating it to soon and was full on one slice.Better than my grandmother's recipe

Update 7/29/2023: the quality here seems to have gone down. The 'scone' was greasy, sourdough baguette looked non-sourdough. Croissant was stale. Prices are up. Small but well-stocked bakery, right in the middle of half Moon Bay the prices are very reasonable.

Oh em gee. I was able to try them at a closer location, thanks to the San Mateo County inviting…read morethem to have a pop-up at Sawyer Camp. I wanted everything on their menu, but only allowed a sausage roll and a minced beef pie. They had other savory pies like chicken pot pie, mushroom and Swiss, and breakfast pies. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them. If they happened to have the sausage rolls, get them. But if I'm in line behind you and you take the last sausage roll, I will fight you for it. The spicy one was to die for. It's not too spicy, it's like those spicy Italian sausage. Very flaky, not too heavy, but they don't skimp out on the meat, so you will be full. I absolutely loved the fennel seeds in the sausage! I just don't know how to be full, so i tried their pie too. While the minced beef pie was good, it wasn't as great as the sausage roll. This is a piece I am willing to trek all the way down the 1 for.

Limited selection close to opening on a Sunday, which feels odd considering you would expect that to be a busier day/time for them, but the west coast, and a small coastal town specifically, moves slow. Overall, when there is a good selection of sweets, savories, and sausage roll, this is an awesome spot. Coffee is ok, depends on the barista that day. They have acai as an option as well if pie isn't your thing, the granola tastes homemade. View and vibe inside can't be beat.
