(Snacked 03/06/19 WE @3pm): Who wouldn't love to bask in a selection of 31 ice cream flavors!?
With my monthly BOGO coupon set to expire and was nowhere near any of my regular locations, I yelped where the nearest shop was and came across one at the corner of Central Ave. and Loraine St. in Glendale. Not about to let free ice cream go to waste, I made my way to this less bustling area on the outskirts of the highly-trafficked downtown mess and was charmed by the small-town feel. I was already a huge fan of the brand, so would the location and service round out a positive trifecta!?

Blueberry Muffin Regular Size Scoop ($3.29): With a muffin flavor and blueberry pieces and a ribbon swirl throughout, this was a lovely pastry transformed into a creamy cold confectionery snack.
Tax Crunch Regular Size Scoop ($3.29): Tis the effin' IRS season with this blend of Kona coffee swirled with a crackling fudge ribbon and rice crunchies, I didn't drink coffee but loved the Hawaiian brands of Kona and Lion, and all ingredients mixed well; if only dealing with the dreaded IRS was as pleasurable.
SERVICE
Immediately greeted by a young girl, I was the only customer in the place, so she was probably happen to have something to do. I pretty much knew what I was getting, so the entire process was easy, quick, and happily left with some ice cold cream dreams in my hand out into the pouring rain. No problems...no worries!
PARKING (Free)
Located in a cozy outdoor strip mall that included a dry cleaner, there was an equally tiny parking lot where I luckily parked. Otherwise, there was plenty of parking along the main drag of Central Ave. and all surrounding side streets.
ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE
A simple storefront https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LY8e5WK6cSOYaBsKBGymJA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw that opened into a rather spacious interior with plenty of floor space https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CmsixKsySumcIPEM2ePmVg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw that allowed for a couple tables, several refrigerated coolers with a ton of chilled goodies https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LCAR-6I-AJEsbuLG-pxMsw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, and the lengthy main display cases and order counter directly in front of you once you entered. As with most locations, promotional posters and such were displayed everywhere as well as a very legible price menu up on the wall behind the order counter. There was also a couple shaded tables outside perfect for a warm sunny day https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=TrIOA36fI6L7GjQ9bisb-A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Decent natural lighting came through the poster-covered large glass wall windows and doors while various electric ceiling recessed and track lighting illuminated the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background.
ATTIRE
Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops.
OVERALL
This particular Glendale Baskin Robbins location was certainly one of the larger and less busy ones I've visited, and would certainly give them my business again if I where in this part of town and in the same bind. And, I swore there were more than 31 flavors on display or maybe it was just an optical illusion! However, I normally didn't do any sort of business in this area, so this was likely a one-and-done. Although the private parking lot was as minute as can be, just park on the street and dodge a car or two if you must. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $7.00 BEFORE any discounts and tip). And, they accept my credit card of choice...AMEX! 5.0 STARS read more
