They are my go to spot for my birthday cake! Never fails, and tastes amazing! My hubby pre-ordered my cake online and picked it up. There are many designs to choose from! It was a giant cupcake. I absolutely loved it. Thanks to this location for making it such an easy experience. Definitely recommend this location, they are so nice!

Just went in to pick up a cake I ordered and was VERY disappointed... from the patchy icing to the terrible hand writing. Waited around 10 minutes for them to bring it out the back and seemed like it was written in a rushed. I ordered 24 hours in advance and looks like it was done in 10 minutes.

Best friendly staff and great customer service ever, had to changed name on the cake 3 times (Our Fault) they were very nice about it each time. Carmen you Rock !! Definitely coming back

Too expensive for a cake! Just go with a little more local and home-made. Just not worth it. Other options.

I had such a great experience at Modu Cafe today…read more I ordered an iced latte and a matcha latte, and both were excellent. The coffee was smooth, and the matcha had a rich, balanced flavor without being overly sweet. What really stood out to me, though, was the bakery. The pastry display was absolutely beautiful--it felt more like an art exhibition with a subtle Japanese aesthetic than a typical bakery. I tried the Milk Cream Bun and the Miso Cinnamon Roll. The Milk Cream Bun was light and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Miso Cinnamon Roll completely surprised me. I was curious how miso would work in a cinnamon roll, but it didn't taste noticeably like miso. Instead, it added a subtle savory umami that elevated the sweetness of the cinnamon roll beautifully. It was unlike anything I've had before. This place left such a great impression that I already want to come back and try the rest of the pastries. Highly recommended!

Here is what my sister and I got: Milk Cream Bun - crazy soft and fluffy Dark Chocolate Mochi Brownie - rich chocolate flavor but was a bit too chewy for me Matcha Tonic - had that sharp, refreshing bitterness that I love Iced Matcha Latte - smooth, earthy and clearly high quality They do have a 4-pastry limit per person because everything sells out so fast but it's totally worth the trip. Finding street parking around York Blvd can be a gamble and we got lucky we found a spot in the front.

I came in December 2025 and though we didn't wait too long, the interior is small and there's no cover outside, so I can imagine that it would be difficult to wait in the scorching heat. Interior was clean and had a nostalgic, small-town bakery vibe. The case was stocked with pastries, which were already dwindling at around 10:00 AM; there are usually 4-5 seasonal items depending on the season in question, and those tend to go first. Their lamination is solid, lots of buttery, flakey layers without any denseness. Most of their menu consists of laminated pastries, so I expected as much. - spinach artichoke dip danish: Yummy filling, though the party wished there was more artichoke. -croissant apple fritter: really really good. most people go for the croissant cinnamon roll, but I think the apple fritter is a sleeper hit. The buttery croissant layers paired with the crisp, iced layers of fried dough were a great pair. Obviously gets heavy after a while. - chocolate hazelnut croissant: classic nutella flavor. I thought it was a bit sweet. - brown butter almond croissant: really good! their almond frangipane filling is quite delicious; not the best I've ever had, but with a great almond flavor and complex texture. Overall a good option for laminated pastries in Pasadena, though I would have to try their pain au chocolat against CAR's to be absolutely sure about which is best.

Even with that, I saw they had a breakfast burrito on the menu and decided to give it a try. There was only one girl working and maybe two people in front of me, but it still took about ten minutes before my order was taken. The good part is once I ordered, the burrito came out in about five minutes. The burrito itself was actually really good. It came out hot and clearly cooked fresh. It was packed with scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, and melted cheese all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. The potatoes had a nice golden color and a little crisp to them, and the eggs were fluffy with plenty of cheese mixed in. They also give you a homemade salsa on the side that's tangy with a little kick, and it works really well with the burrito. Overall I liked it. The burrito had great flavor and was definitely filling. I just wish I could have enjoyed it inside. For whatever reason the dining area was closed, so the only place to sit was outside in the sun, which made it a little uncomfortable to really sit back and enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

I been here 3x this month alone & I've sat at the bar on all three occasions. 1st. We were recommended french fries with our espresso martinis which hello why say no but I kid you not our food was sitting on the counter (where the food comes out) for more than 15 minutes before our server at the bar gave it to us. I had to ask them (they were talking to 3 different servers the entire time) to grab them for us lol thankfully, it was just french fries. And mind you, the fries were the only thing out so obviously they were ours. It was not busy. 2nd time I went it took extremely long for someone to come and take our order mind you there was like two people at the bar, including myself and a friend and about 3 to 4 servers behind the bar, talking to a customer and their dog, touching the dog petting the dog (gross) and overall distracted we called them over like 3 times and I swear we were being ignored! Took them over 10mins just to get us water not even counting the drinks we asked for! 3rd time I went, I know you're probably thinking why do you keep going back if their service is so bad but I'm not kidding when I said I used to love this spot. Any who I ordered food and saw with my own two eyes the food runner, wipe her sweat fix her hair and touch the food not wash her hands and not run a single thing...It was as though she was just hired to stare at the food... lol we sent it back and asked them to remove it from our bill which they did. Each and every time I go these days the service staff look like they can't be bothered and are always talking amongst themselves, which is fine but at least take my order and not make me wait 20+ minutes for some water and drinks while you're getting your chat on with people you see every day... I feel so bad saying this, but they should definitely reevaluate their protocols because the ambience this whole thing gave off was not good. I was embarrassed to say the least when my friend said he hated the recommendation. Ugh .

The flavour cases were packed over the weekend and it was a little overwhelming to pick, but guess what? I did, I picked my flavours like a big guy. I ended up getting a waffle cone with Texas Sheet Cake which might be the best ice cream I've ever had from Jeni's. It was super chocolatey, super rich, and tasted amazing. I got a scoop of Green Mint Chip which was pretty standard mint chocolate chip, but I very much enjoyed it. My final scoop was of Double Dough which is basically vanilla ice cream with chocolate cookie dough chunks in it, which also tasted pretty solid. Overall, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is a top notch ice cream joint and a place I'll never pass on visiting. The staff here is usually pretty friendly, the parlor itself is super clean, and the ice cream is great.
