Found this place near where my son and his wife just bought their home. What a find!!! This is a quintessential Mom and Pop Southern diner. We came on a Saturday so only had the menu options (which are amazing) but during the week they have a meat and vegetable offering that looks delicious. They've been in business over 60 years and are super friendly. Felt like eating with family even for our very first time. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a country diner. You can sit at the counter or a table. We will DEFINITELY be back!

We've been living in Canton 17 years and never ate at Basket Shack. Driven by many a time. We stopped by today (Saturday) for breakfast. The dining room is a little small but they opened up another table for us. The staff is very friendly. I had the country ham with eggs, biscuit and gravy. My wife had a BLT with fries. All very delicious! Ham wasn't greasy. Biscuits are big and firm. Her fries crispy. Lastly, pricing is reasonable.

I stopped and got a Bacon Biscuit on my way home from a trip one morning. Fast, Friendly, Service...lots of Regulars sitting around enjoying the atmosphere and good food. I'm looking forward to going in for a full meal some time.

Step inside and you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of friendly faces that make you feel right at home. Then comes the food--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. My husband sticks to the classics (and loves every bite), while I always look forward to whatever creative seasonal dishes Andy and Amber come up with. Fall is my favorite time because I have to get the butternut squash pasta--it's that good. It's always great to see POPS busy, even during the week. It just adds to the energy of downtown and makes you appreciate having such a gem in the community. We truly hope POPS becomes a longtime staple here in Canton--places like this deserve it. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

It was not immediately clear to me that this place was a counter service/seat yourself establishment. Restaurant had the vibe inside that it recently shut half its seating & bar space. I was looking for something a little bit more upscale and Italian to treat myself, and I left feeling a little disappointed and like I overpaid for the experience. The food was good, but I hope they improve the dine in experience.

However, once I realized you could waitlist online, it was a game changer. We got: Biscuit with fried chicken smothered in gravy: The seasoning on the fried chicken is great, and the chicken itself is juicy and perfect. Pair that with their exceptional gravy and a hearty mouthful of biscuit and it's a done deal. It's a HUGE portion, so come hungry or share. Classic breakfast (forgot what it's called but eggs, protein, biscuit, grits): I got my eggs scrambled and these were probably the best scrambled eggs I've ever had outside of my own home. It was just the way I liked them--definitely scrambled, but juicy, flavorful, and soft. The grits were a crowd favorite on our table--super rich and creamy. Smoked ham was salty (as most smoked ham are) but incredible soft and nice to eat. I thought my favorite would be the biscuit (I'm a HUGE biscuit girl) but it actually wasn't as buttery as I thought. It wasn't bad, but I think I'll take the grits over it any day. I can't believe how delicious this place was. All the plates coming out looked amazing (the sweet breakfast items, wow!) and we are definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. I'd say this is a 4.5 due to the biscuit falling a little flat (not literally because that thing was fluffy!) BUT service was also great so it's bumping up to a 5. We're so happy to find a go-to brunch spot in this area--definitely give it a try!

I was in a bit of a healthy mood so I went with the bacon avocado spinach omelette with a side of cut fruit. It was delicious. Fluffy eggs, perfectly sautéd spinach with some melted pepper lack cheese added just the right amount of spice. That and a side of fresh cut fruit made for a very tasty and enjoyable breakfast. Bookmarked and added to my collection folder of best breakfasts.

I was wavering between a few sandwiches and at their suggestion I got the Philly and a choconana chunk. My husband got the nest panini and a dirty chai. The Philly was great! Perfect texture because it wasn't too thick to where you can't get anything in the straw like some smoothies and shakes tend to be. Classic combo of chocolate, banana and pb. My husband liked the panini but said the chicken was a little dryer than he'd like but some extra chipotle sauce did the trick. The pasta salad was great. We ate outside because it was a lovely day, but there is plenty of indoor seating as well. Cute and cozy. Overall we will definitely come back and try more menu items next time! Excited to try their specials.

Typically hash can be too salty but not at Eggs Up Grill! The home fries were seasoned and tasty, although a bit cold. The eggs. Oh the eggs. Y'all, it rendered him speechless. We're bringing half of it home, too. Yay! The restaurant and bathroom were clean per usual and the decor sunny and cheery (but not obnoxiously so). Place was relatively busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. I forgot the servers name but she was polite, just not very efficient. I had the steak and eggs with tomato, potatoes and dry toast, steak over medium, eggs over medium. Steak was good but a little heavy on the pepper, eggs were just a bit too runny and not quite as medium as I like but that's ok, I'll know next time. My friend had the omelette with avocado and she really enjoyed it. Only downside was the restaurant size and slow service. Though the eggs and steak were off a little bit it was still good and we will return. I do have another one of these by my house and it's also good. If not for the slow service I would give it a 5 star.

I had the "Traditional" upgraded to a Triple Play (i.e., and extra egg and piece of bacon). It was delivered within 4 minutes of ordering and the eggs were just as ordered, the breakfast potatoes had a crispness, the biscuit was good, and the bacon had nice flavor (but more the chewy versus crisp style). The waitress frequently checked at the table to ensure I had no outstanding needs. The dining area has a variety of seating: bar, booths, tables, and even a sizeable outdoor covered patio. There is a sign posted on the door notifying customers that ALL orders are charged a special fee. I find that a bit irritating, but I guess it saves them from having to reprint the menus. And it amounted to 54 cents in my case. Speaking of menus, they have seasonal specials, but it was December and the waitress said they were no longer available and the new specials were still pending.
