Last night I chose to deviate from my norm and order something different. I went with one of the specials, Tomato Farfalle Pasta Alfredo with Sausage. Not the best dish. The pasta and alfredo were good after adding pepper and a little salt. But the sausage was a big disappointment. It had no taste. The dish was a miss. But the service is what really took the cake! Unfortunately I had a little incident where my phone fell into a crack in the booth, and we weren't able to get it out. It was the kind of thing that was unfortunate, but not anyone's fault. Even so, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help. The owner was unable to get a contractor to get the phone out that night, so he worked all day the next day to retrieve the phone himself so I wouldn't have to wait another day. On top of all that, they paid for my dinner because I had to come all the way back from DC to get the phone. Crazy ordeal, but just an example of how much they are willing to do to help out their customers even when they weren't at fault. I will absolutely be coming back any time I am in Fredericksburg. Shout out to the owner and the manager, Tim, for being so helpful. P.S. The mushroom ravioli special I had on night two was also delicious, as was the pesto gnocchi, zucchini soup, and pizza my friends had.

The cozy indoor dining room transports you to a relaxed, no-frills neighborhood restaurant you'd expect to find in Naples, Italy. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, offered thoughtful recommendations, and checked in at just the right times. They were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to ask for plates to be cleared or flag someone down when we were ready for dessert. We started with the calamari, followed by the lasagna, and finished with the lemon cake. I also had an Aperol Spritz. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell nothing relied on frozen ingredients or store-bought sauces. If you're looking for authentic Italian food in the Fredericksburg area, I highly recommend Orofino. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town.

We ended up outside on the patio and pretty much every table we passed on the way out there and on the way back out of the restaurant was completely empty so I was so confused why we couldn't sit inside. The menu is limited at best. I felt there were a ton of classic items you see at most Italian restaurants not offered. Fettuccine Alfredo? Nope. Lasagna? Nope. No choices of sauces and no choices of pasta styles. The sauce is on the sweet side, if you're into that. The pasta didn't taste homemade, but wasn't awful. Service was friendly, people were nice, but I wouldn't come back here if I'm looking for more traditional classic Italian dishes. It was fine to try for a quick afternoon stop.

Restaurants in Dumfries are generally really bad. We went to Giorgio's really wanting to like it…read more Unfortunately, overall, it just was not good. First the positives: I ordered the Gyro with fries and really enjoyed it. Not the best Gyro I have ever had, but good. The other three members of my family ordered different chicken dishes and all three were bad. Overall they were very bland. Using a little seasoning during cooking goes a long way. The chicken on the dishes seemed boiled. I guess this is an easy way to get tender chicken, but man does it remove the flavor! My wife's chicken had tendon and grizzle through out. My daughter's Marsala was gross. Seemed to be a Jared gravy. The wait staff really should not be wearing jeans, especially since the dining room seems nice (except for the paper table cloths.). One of the waitresses had ugly tattoos which no one wants to see at a nice place like this. It's a shame. This place has potential, but the food and wait staff drag it down HARD.

It's also connected to winestyles. The menu is Italian in nature with some Greek flare like gyros meats and flaming cheese. During my last visit we ordered a garlic lemon butter sauce with Salmon. She wanted steamed broccoli, but Giorgio's has seasonal veggies and rotates which ones they have so no veggies for her this day. It was very nice coming for lunch and our server was very sweet interacting with our little. I do think the prices here are high for this area and I would be more inclined to visit more frequently if prices were more affordable. So for us this is a occasional visit restaurant.

I prefer more robust flavors from Indian and specifically Pakistani food over the "salt & pepper" style seasoning (with turmeric for color) of Afghan food. I tried what they call their Shami kabob, which is actually a seekh kabob. I got a side of chick peas with it. The flavor of the kabob was actually quite nice (for Afghan food). The chick peas were as basic as I would expect from this style of food. Their potatoes looked great, but unfortunately were extremely bland and unflavored. Their naan was pretty good and perfectly baked, so it was slightly crusty while flexible enough to eat with and still flavorful. My preference if for spicier food, so I asked for an extra spicy green sauce. Fortunately, my dish came with their white sauce too. The white sauce had an incredible flavor! So much more flavor than the green sauce, even though the green sauce had slight spice, mostly from the vinegar in it. Their rice looked great and had the appropriate amount of seasoning and flavor you'd expect, regardless of style of Middle Eastern food you're enjoying. Service was excellent! They were very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and even checked on us. The place was pretty clean for a kabob joint as well. Overall, it was a decent visit, but unfortunately for me, it left me wanting more... more spice and depth of flavor. But for the average American, you'd probably really enjoy this place.
