Stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. Ordered a Meatball sub with a side of Cole Slaw and a bottle of water. They give you a number to place on your table and I went and found a place to sit. Food was delivered to my table in about 10 minutes. Pretty solid Meatball sub. It was meaty, filling, and tasty. The Cole Slaw appears to be dressed with a vinegar-based dressing - it was somewhat underseasoned. It could've used some additional dressing as well. The menu has some interesting pizza combinations. I may try some of those in the near future. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. Overall, a good experience. #Basilico

My first time at this location in Stafford but I've been to the one in Fredericksburg. Location was clean and the environment was serviceable. We ordered a couple pizzas which were decent but I would say slightly overpriced. What was definitely overpriced was a can of ginger ale was $3. That's crazy! What was disappointing was the level of service. It is a walk-up and order place and the person taking the order just stands there looking at you. Not a smile or welcoming demeanor. I'm overall, not terrible just not a high level of customer appreciation to me. Just my opinion. Your food has to be spectacular to overcome this level of service and then spin the screen around to request a tip.

Visited the restaurant for lunch. We were the first to arrive with clean tables and napkins stocked. The service was very good, the staff were polite and very attentive of our needs picking up plates and delivering our food quickly. We ordered some shareable appetizers and mostly sandwiches and salads. The sandwiches and salads were good and made as specified on the menu. The homemade meatballs were sub par and cheese sticks were oily.

Reuben with American Cheese. Mac-and-cheese on the side.

Gave Basilico a try for the first time last night. Food was very good, employees were very friendly. Restaurant is very clean and roomy inside. They also have gelato and an amazing array of desserts. The only thing to be aware of is that it is not a full-service restaurant. You order at the counter, they give you a number to put at your table, and they bring it to your table. Not a criticism...it just is. We will be going back.

It was our first time visiting this place, me and the family decided to give it a try Saturday for lunch, and we were very glad we did. The employees were very nice and friendly and helpful we made the mistake of ordering from the take out kiosk and they let us know that we had ordered take out when I clarified that we wanted to eat in instead they were more than accommodating to our needs and quickly took care of our order. Food was very tasty and had a nice presentation as well, Italian food served quick. The place very clean and decor was so nice modern and well organized. We will definitely be coming back to give the rest of the menu a try also the pastries were delicious

Had a great visit to Basilico this week. The restaurant is a casual but upscale-leaning restaurant/ gelateria/ deli, with delicious food! They make the best pizza in the area- and it's european style! Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit!

Service was great and the new store looks amazing. Only complaint is the food just wasn't the best. Not saying it was horrible, but it wasn't flavorful. It was bland. Reuben looked great but couldn't taste the thousand island dressing, had to ask for extra. Eggplant panini was missing some spice. Ordered pasta salad but received potato salad. Antipasto salad was beautiful but still not overwhelmingly delicious. Meats were hard. I would try again, but maybe the Fredbrg location. Ambiance was just fine. Gorgeous store and very roomy.

If you appreciate and like good New York style Italian food... COME HERE! I used to go down to the Basilico in Fredericksburg and then I saw that they were opening this location... Well, I just happened to go on the day they opened and it was spot-on! The dessert cases were loaded with amazing sweets! The menu is huge, offering lot of healthy options, in addition to the tyical items, like pizzas, subs, sandwiches, and pasta entrées. Service was great! From the person who took my order to the rest of the folks I encountered. The place has a nice sized dining room, which I'm sure will be packed once the word gets out that they're open now! My food was really good... The black bean soup was nicely flavored and loaded with fresh, tasty veggies and the Italian Here was perfectly prepared! Can't wait to go back!!

Make sure to read the full description of each menu item as the short title doesn't do it justice. I ordered a braised short rib with risotto dish, which was amazing! But the short title was just "risotto", which I would have quickly dismissed without my friend mentioning the short rib in the description. We started with the calamari an appetizer. It had a nice crispy breading. They had deep fried jalapeños with it, which paired nicely with the calamari. Never had it like this before. The dish came out with a very generous portion of risotto and a large short rib on top. The rib was so tender that it fell right off the bone and you didn't need a knife to cut it up. So flavorful! The risotto was well flavored and have a nice creaminess to it. I could have shared this plate as it was very rich and filling. Service was admittedly slow, but I attribute that to our large group on a Wednesday evening.

The cozy indoor dining room transports you to a relaxed, no-frills neighborhood restaurant you'd expect to find in Naples, Italy. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, offered thoughtful recommendations, and checked in at just the right times. They were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to ask for plates to be cleared or flag someone down when we were ready for dessert. We started with the calamari, followed by the lasagna, and finished with the lemon cake. I also had an Aperol Spritz. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell nothing relied on frozen ingredients or store-bought sauces. If you're looking for authentic Italian food in the Fredericksburg area, I highly recommend Orofino. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town.

Our waiter, Jack, was an absolute superstar. He was knowledgeable, attentive, funny, and incredibly helpful with our selections. He truly made the evening special. We started with the calamari and a salad with goat cheese, walnuts, and pomegranate unfortunately, I can't remember the name of it, but it was absolutely delicious! The complimentary bread served with their infused olive oil was outstanding and worth mentioning on its own. For our entrées, my husband and I both ordered specials the Lobster Ravioli and the Halibut. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We also enjoyed an excellent red blend wine. By that point, we had enjoyed enough wine that I completely forgot to take photos of the specials! We finished with the cannoli special dessert, which was good, though not quite as memorable as the rest of the meal. Most of all, we can't thank Jack enough for the great service, laughs, and overall experience. It's rare to find food and hospitality that work together so perfectly.
