So I never ate at Basanis before and I order it go. I ordered the chicken francese; I must say it was very delicious. I was pretty disappointed in the portion size though, I don't think they give you enough chicken. You also get two garlic rolls and a side of pasta with either the red sauce or the white alfredo sauce. I went with the Alfredo. The Alfredo was good, but a little to thick for me. Overall i was really pleased with the meal. I would have given it for stars but the portion size really bothered me. I have attached some photos of the yummy meal. Food was good but service was TERRIBLE. I had literally to ask for my water, bread and plastic bag. Lady (Alexia) was all over the place with just 2 tables to serve. Oh I actually had to ask for the parmesan chess on my pasta. No a good experience over all. But they lost my business, they have mess up the order in the passed and did nothing and this time they didn't put any chicken in my alfredo and charged me for it when I called they say they couldn't do anything about it because they where closed (dont understand why they pick up if they where closed) not to mention thier pizza sucks. Absolutely everything is delicious, but I have to say, my all time favorite is the baked penne/ziti. It has to be the best I've ever had - hands down! My daughter just had the four cheese pizza and she says it was bomb! That's like really, really good! It's right next door to my favorite fitness studio, so I walked in to see the menu. I ordered the vegetable pizza and it was delicious! It was made fresh, the flavor was wonderful. If I can give 0 stars I would!!! Based on Yelp reviews, I figured I would give this place a try. Ordered a pizza and a salad. Confirmation came immediately. ETA was an hour. Over an hour and a half later I called to check on the order and they told me they were just busy and that I'd get my order in 15-20 minutes. No apologies. They blamed the online service that they received the order 10 minutes late. I told them that still makes them over an hour and half late. They have my number, they can't call? I told them my lunch hour has already been over so even if I get it now I won't be able to eat it so they may as well cancel. I came here after a long day at school and I was DYING for some pizza. I was looking online endless for a good pizza spot and came upon this place. Like the crazy person I am for pizza, I decided to give this a try. I can officially concur that this place was the right place to choose. The restaurant is located 2 minutes from midtown and is small and cozy. I decided to to order a small pepperoni and sausage. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. The sausage on the pizza was authentic and not some cheap frozen sausage. You could feel the love in every slice. The chef even came out to great me personally. All in all, it was a great experience. I come from NY so the pizza isn't comparably great but it's decent compared to what I've had. The lasagna is good. The wings are just the right amount of crispy. But their hot sauce has a horrible after taste. If you must, be sure to pick up your food. I've never eaten in but I know for sure the delivery service is horrible. I was expected to wait an hour for a one topping pie and it came 1 hour and half later with no consolation what so ever. Called to find out how much long it would take and was told my food was in the car and should be at my place shortly. 9:45 pm no food. I've been using Yelp for years and my awful experience with Basani's has made me write my first review. I had a pizza and garlic rolls and was completely disappointed. The crust. The restaurant didn't have options for crust and it turns out thin crust is all they have. For a thin crust, it was about 80% of the pizza! There was almost no sauce, cheese, or anything else. Which brings me to my next point: The toppings. When I order a pizza, I don't expect every topping in every bite, but it isn't too much to ask for at least a bit of each topping ordered in every slice. My entire large pizza had 12 slices of jalapeno and 8 small bits of chicken across 10 slices of pizza. Pathetic. The garlic rolls were a good bread but I was choking on the amount of garlic in them. For some I'm sure that's a positive but even for me, who eats garlic raw and absolutely loves the stuff, it was extremely overwhelming. I forced myself through one slice of pizza and two garlic rolls before throwing this all into the trash where it belongs. Delivery was on point but not enough to bring this joke of a "restaurant" up to 2 stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I have to start with one big caveat to this review - I have NOT tried the pizza here! The thing is that this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant, and I'm going to grade it as such, but there are often times when a place like this is really just a pizza joint that MIGHT have great pizza, but mediocre Italian dishes. So I'll start the actual review with a heavy heart. I live in the Midtown area and I want more food options, especially ones that offer delivery service. But when I eat a dish at a restaurant that doesn't taste as good as it would if it had been prepared by me, an untrained guy who's not Italian, I have to say something. For me, a good measuring stick for an Italian restaurant is almost always its red sauce. Just fyi, I prefer Southern Italian cuisine, which tends to be a little heavier and richer, incorporating some sugar in their red sauce. I had the lasagna from here and while it has potential as far as the noodles, cheese and meat, the red sauce was too sweet and had a bit too much oregano/Italian seasoning to it. When I first saw the Chicken Cacciatore I thought it was a mix-up with Pasta Primavera but upon further inspection I found that if you scavenged through the plain spaghetti and bell pepper slices that you would find the odd piece of chicken breast that could be considered slightly above the quality of the ready made strips of perdue in your local grocery stores frozen food section. In total, I would say there was no more than one-quarter of a chicken breast in the whole dish, but there was a lot of spaghetti, and slivers of the odd bell pepper or other veggie. The minestrone is nothing special, they use regular penne for the noodles, which at first seemed kind of rustic but on second thought smacked of cheapness. The garlic knots were the highlight of the meal, but at that point I'm grasping at straws and they still weren't that good. The price is good, but I'm not even sure you get what you pay for and I certainly wouldn't mind paying a few dollars more for an upgrade in quality. On their webpage it has a link their Miami Herald review, but it's really just a link to a Herald blog puff post that doesn't make any critical judgment of the place. It might as well have been a wedding announcement if I remember it correctly. So for the record, I won't be ordering from here again, BUT I would love to see this place succeed as I think we need as much good eats in the Wynwood/Midtown/DD area as possible. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening here without a total revamp, which is rare. Also, keep in mind that I haven't tried the pizza, which MIGHT be stellar. read more

I often have food from Basani's. This restaurant has a feel that you are eating at home clean and ready. Servings are big enough and they have incredible affordable prices for the area. Flavors are consistent. Love to order Delivery Pizza from them a way better option than popular pizza places in town. Check out their lunch specials you will thank me later. I could eat their lasagna with garlic rolls every day . Will definitely continue ordering from here. Did I mention Delivery is always on time and accurate. Basani's definitely gets it done. I've had a few things off the menu and all of them were tasty. They also offer white pizza, which I usually traveled to the Big Cheese for, but they do this well enough. More often than not, I get the french onion soup--it's not the best I've ever had, but it might possibly be the best in Downtown Miami and South Beach combined. After my favorite Primo Pizza left midtown, I thought I would be doomed for a life of generically, is that a word, made/delivered pizza. How wrong I was. After stumbling upon this little gem of a spot, I was pleasingly surprised. My friend ordered a small pie with pepperoni. I opted for the chicken parmesan dinner. Both arrived piping hot.
