This was my first visit to this Barro's Pizza place. Upon entering I was really surprised at the size of the restaurant area and it was very nice and clean. Since it was Sunday the place was busy with customers as well as customers waiting to order or pick up. We had called in our order and I was really impressed at how well the employee was spot on with our order. We ordered four pizzas, a vegetable pizza, sausage, cheese and a gluten free. Added wings and a salad to go with the pizza. All the pizzas were delicious and everyone was pleased with it all. I must say that this is a perfect location and the outside look is perfect advertising to go in and check them out. No pictures but I will add some next time we come here. I had went on super bowl sunday, I did expect more people to be dinning in but i was wrong there was a lot of people but more people had done take out !! the food is a bit pricey but the quality does make up for it !! I had gotten mild bone in wings which were very good, my friend got garlic bread with cheese which was good but i did wish they add a little bit more cheese and cut them into pieces. the pizzas were amazing, the crust was not too thick not to thin, more than enough toppings !! The drink size is a large which i thought was huge !! the atmosphere was very chill !! service was amazing, because it was super bowl they said the wait time was about an hour but appetizers came out quick, next thing you know a few minutes later the pizzas came out to us it seemed less than an hour !! I was in Phoenix for a few days in July and decided that my adult son, whom I had not seen in over two years and, who loves pizza almost as much as I do, and I needed to find some pizza? We were relatively close, so after perusing the area for a nearby pizza joint we decided on Barro's. Now, in fairness to pizza lovers and pizza makers everywhere, please note that this review is based mostly on the quality and flavors of the pizza we ordered, the quality of service and a quick trip to the men's room at the end of our meal, to wash up. And, of somewhat importance, there were only a handful of customers in this location when we arrived. We ordered a 14" Mega Meat and a couple of drinks. The young man minding the store counter was friendly and helpful, since we required a bit of handholding having never eaten at a Barro's. We were given our drink cups and a number card and proceeded to our table. Drinks were self-serve, which I always appreciate, and I am pleased to report that there was no slime in either the ice machine, or the drink dispensing spigots. Always a major PLUS! Our pizza arrived quickly. It was piping hot and was very flavorful. Better than most mass-produced pizzas I've eaten and not quite the best, but very good, nonetheless. The only thing I would have liked would have been red pepper flakes and grated parmesan served in and dispensed from glass shakers. Instead, they provide these condiments in single serve foil packets. All in all, my son and I very much enjoyed our first bites of pizza together in a long while. I would definitely try Barro's again. I though the pricing was reasonable, the restaurant was clean and tidy, and the men's room was adequately stocked and was clean. If you're in the neighborhood or come upon a Barro's near where you are located and you've got a hankerin' for some really decent pizza, I would not blame you, if you give it a try! Eat Well. So I've had Barro's Pizza at a friend's but have never ordered. Not feeling our normal pizza joint my husband suggested Barro's. A quick search lead me to this location that would deliver to us. We ordered online. Website fairly easy to navigate with menu choices easy to customize. One large half extra cheese, half pepperoni and a 12 piece mild boneless wings. The confirmation said it'd be about 95 minutes. Yikes, but to our surprise our pizza was delivered hot in about 55 minutes. Pizza was cooked nicely, cheese plennntiffful. I have to say I do prefer the crust of our regular pizza place. Now there wasn't anything wrong with their crust, it was soft and pillowy on the inside with a slight chew, but really had no taste. But again the cheese was extremely abundant. Wing, small pieces of breaded breast with a very tasty sauce, could have used a touch more sauce. Several pieces were only half covered. Ranch very good, appeared house made. I'm giving 4 stars even though it was just average in taste they delivered a whole half hour before it was promised and everything was hot and fresh. read more

We love Barro's Pizza and some locations are a bust, but we were happy to see that this location is great! They have a full menu of items to pick from along with specials. They also have plenty of safe indoor dining with every other table blocked off to allow social distancing. There's a kids are in the back which my kids enjoy to use while we wait for food. The staff is super friendly and they produce orders in a timely manner. Our food was yummy and tasted just like their other locations, which is always a plus for us! I'm always surprised by the food portions as well. Their food is inexpensive for the amount you receive. All in all, I highly recommend this location! read more

Well, this is the final verdict for this Bethany Home Barro's location. After the hair incident, I was happy to have the company reach out to me and provide me with an XL pizza credit. We had gotten some more pickup orders since, thinking that any further issues would be totally behind us. We ordered a large half sausage, half jalapeño pizza last night that my husband picked up and brought home. We both ate our respective sides of the pizza, mine being jalapeño again. But then my husband woke up this morning with absolutely horrible stomach issues. He has vomited several different times throughout the morning and believes he got food poisoning. Because I've been feeling fine, I've asked him and asked him to be sure if there was possibly anything else he ate that could have disagreed with him, but he is certain based on the vomiting that it was the pizza. He works from home and the only things he ate earlier that Friday were from our kitchen, nothing expired or bad. Don't go here. Save yourself the trouble, because my husband is very, very ill - I haven't seen him like this in a really long time and I'm lucky I didn't get sick as well, since we have a little 9 month old baby. We love barros, we love that I can get a dairy free pizza for my toddler who's allergic to dairy. However, this time we ordered from there we had an issue, there was a hair on the crust. Come here for the lunch specials and you will not regret it. For the price it's a pretty good deal. The place is large clean&modern and customer service was great. This review is of this specific barro's only. 6135 N 35th Avenue. Our family loves Barro's pizza. Except for this location. You would think that no matter what barrels you go to in the valley the food taste the same. Not with this Barro's. Two years ago I would've given them a great review but over the past year and a half some thing has dramatically changed at this location. Our number one complaint (but not our only complaint) is the sauce on the pizza. It's not the same as all the others. Now what I suspect might be happening is one of two things one they're just using a different sauce altogether or two they are allowing the sauce to either cook down or dehydrate making the sauce more intense and very very very acidic. Your tongue and throat should not be tingling because of the sauce. And I don't mean tingling in a spicy way, I mean tingling as in an acidic "this is burning my mouth and throat situation." We have been driving out of our way to go to different locations to avoid this one. We've been driving down to Laveen and out to Litchfield I'm happy that there's a new one over by Westgate but we haven't tried that one yet. We've even gone to the one on Camelback all of those are fine. It's only this location. A few months ago we decided never to go to this one again. Today however my husband had to go to Harbor freight which is In the same complex so he decided to give it a final try. This time the sauce burned his throat and mouth more so than ever before. I've actually called corporate and left a message hopefully they will call me back because this is got a stop. There are other issues with this location such as getting wings that are so dry and desiccated that they were in edible this is happened on multiple occasions also. This is really obvious because we always ask for our sauce on the side because everybody in the family likes Different sauces. You should not rely on your sauce to add moisture to your wings. Again this is not a problem that we have with any of the other locations just this one. UPDATE Mr. Barros from corporate has returned my call and is looking into it. read more

Nice, clean, quiet place. They have a kids area my kids liked. No salad bar. The employee didn't really know much about the menu options but then again she might be new. My Hawaiian pizza was dry (no sauce) the sausage pizza was good (spicy sausage). It was upsetting that after we paid they told us they didn't have any pepperoni and they didn't even give me the option to wait for them to make it. If I could give this place Zero stars I would because it does not deserve not even one. I placed an order and was told it would be 20-25 min. I've been waiting for my pizza for about an hour now. I asked to speak to a manager because I was told it would be 10min more and yet I'm still here waiting on my food, the manager told the cashier to let me know that he was to busy to talk to me and that it would be another 10min or so for my order. Went there to try the newly opened Barros. We usually love Barros pizza but this time, we were horrified. We had to wait in a long line and the server was also taking phone orders or phone calls while she was working alone and we understood how busy it can get for a new restaurant so that's not the issue. The issue was, she grabbed the wing plate for a customer, and her thumb touched the sauce, she then picked up the phone that was ringing with her other hand, and licked off her thumb. Grinning, smiling. She's bubbly but at that moment we were horrified and just left the restaurant without placing an order.
