When I arrived I was told to set up for class with the same equipment the instructor set out and found a cozy spot near the door. The class wasn't full (which is apparently rare) so I had plenty of room to embarrass myself. Now I'm not an out of shape person, I do cardio 3 times a week at the gym and eat very well. But Miranda's barre class kicked my entire ass (in a good way!) Afterwards I did feel sore as expected of a rigorous hour long workout, but I still felt amazing. I slept like an actual baby and woke up still feeling great. Everyone at the studio itself was very friendly and Miranda was great. The flow of the class focuses on exhausting specific parts and muscles of the body one by one so you definitely get your moneys worth for a full body work out- not that $25 for the first week is unreasonable at all! I'll definitely be back, but note to self: Be sure to stretch a bit more next time!

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The instructor did not appear particularly engaged or enthusiastic about teaching. Instructions were delivered quickly while walking around the studio, with no demonstrations on the equipment, which made it difficult to follow--especially for beginners. Additionally, the studio's acoustics made it challenging to hear or understand much of what was being said. Most of us were scrambling to keep up. I could see myself getting injured and probably won't be going back. The whole experience felt transactional and very uninspired.

When I called to transfer my membership, they literally wouldn't work with me to transfer what I am paying (as I happened to get a discount at my current Orange Theory because I promoted them and gave them referral business). They say they are a "higher" tier than my current location but the pricing is literally the same with unlimited so it makes absolutely no sense. I get that it's a franchise (which I hate) but literally feels like I am working with an entirely different business rather than an overall organization working together and felt like this location is extremely slimy. They offer 3 different kinds of classes: Signature 60, Signature 45, and Strength 45. Signature classes are high energy full body work-outs that get your heart pumping, and include isometric holds for strength conditioning in either 45 or 60 minute versions. I'm currently obsessed with their Strength classes which are 45 minutes and are still a full-body workout, but of slower movements, using heavier weights and resistance bands. I can actually feel myself getting stronger, and I only come in once a week! I do wish they had more Strength class options during the week. Newcomers can try their first class for free! Then there are various membership options to suit your need. Since I come in once a week, I opt for their 10 class pass option, which you have several months to use. I like not having a monthly membership hanging over me. This way I get the full benefit of what I purchase. The studio is also two doors down from a Starbucks for that post workout coffee break!
