Thankfully, I look forward to a few constants: Nicole's brilliant sound baths, Chloe's evocative, primal Saturday am power flows, Alicia's "happy Monday, now let's get this party started" 6:15am thoughtfully curated flows (BEST way to start the work week), newcomer Suki's entrancing Sunday meditations, Teigh's loving Reiki offering, and Sarah Lakey's (who is EVERYTHING good in anatomy and movement progression) slow flow. This is my love letter to a place where, as soon as I settle in/ onto my mat, I feel like I'm home. The community is icing: I hope you come experience for yourself. I've taken classes with Aspen, Carolina, Alex, Laura, Iza and Will and they've all been kind, generous teachers. The community at the studio is great- classmates are welcoming and friendly. The studio is clean and mats are spaced in a way that gives everyone enough room. I love that the studio offers special events like yoga Nidra with Carolina, and Kundalini and Sound Baths with Aspen Rose.

From friendly instructors to clean facilities, I genuinely look forward to going to classes. There are lockers, bathrooms, showers, water fountains, and hanging racks available. Try to get to class at least 5 minutes before so you can get ready and settled into your mat. They also rent out mats and towels at the front desk. Most classes start on your back, which I love because it helps me clear my mind before class starts. My favorite instructors are Bekah, Chelsea, and Tami. Whenever I see their names on the schedule, I know I'm in for an excellent session. They're easy to hear throughout class and give clear, straightforward instruction that makes the practice accessible without unnecessary complexity or repetition. I highly recommend trying these instructors, though you really can't go wrong with any of the instructors here. There is street parking around the building and also a parking lot that you can access from 71st or 72nd street. It costs 4.99 for 90 minutes, but if you shop at PCC with a minimum purchase the charge is waived ( don't forget to get the coupon from PCC when you check out!)

That said, the overall experience didn't live up to the branding. DRYP markets itself as an intense, hot yoga studio - something you'd expect to be challenging, sweat-inducing, and high-energy. In reality, the room was barely heated, and the class felt more like a slow-flow or even a meditative/stretch session. There was very little intensity, and the instructor spent a large portion of the class talking - more like giving a sermon - rather than leading a consistent practice. If you're looking for a physically demanding, heated yoga experience, this isn't it. There's definitely a disconnect between what's being advertised and what's actually being delivered. Unless there's a major shift in programming or expectations, I honestly don't see this place lasting long in a competitive fitness market.

I went to a total of 6 classes, varying from Vinyasa to restorative to sculpt and flow. The space is fairly large, has a wall of mirrors, and a giant LED screen with different visuals playing throughout class. All of the instructors I've worked with are very personable but tough. These classes are not for the weak - this room is HOT!!! There are not locks on the lockers in the dressing room, which knocks a star off for me. Otherwise locker room is fairly small but clean. They also host cute events for their members, like movie nights and other inclusive activities.
