I like it here. :)…read more The studio is bright, and clean, and airy. Everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming. They offer 3 different kinds of classes: Signature 60, Signature 45, and Strength 45. Signature classes are high energy full body work-outs that get your heart pumping, and include isometric holds for strength conditioning in either 45 or 60 minute versions. I'm currently obsessed with their Strength classes which are 45 minutes and are still a full-body workout, but of slower movements, using heavier weights and resistance bands. I can actually feel myself getting stronger, and I only come in once a week! I do wish they had more Strength class options during the week. Newcomers can try their first class for free! Then there are various membership options to suit your need. Since I come in once a week, I opt for their 10 class pass option, which you have several months to use. I like not having a monthly membership hanging over me. This way I get the full benefit of what I purchase. The studio is also two doors down from a Starbucks for that post workout coffee break!

I moved to Bellevue to live with a son and I started Barre classes in Newcastle right away, as it seemed so essential that I keep them up. Even if I can't always do everything the instructors do, it helps so much to try my best. I had a shoulder injury last month that forced me to take a break, so I am doing rehab for a couple of months now. I really miss my Barre classes. All of the instructors are exceptional, and the atmosphere is very friendly. I am anxious to return to Barre. I highly recommend this studio!!

We drove 40 minutes to get there, arrived early, filled out all the forms, and even had a friendly 20-minute conversation with the instructor. Just two minutes before class started, we were told we couldn't participate because we're out-of-state students. This policy wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website when we signed up. The instructor was aware we had driven quite a distance to be there, but we were still asked to leave right before the class began. The studio itself seemed clean and welcoming, and the instructor was kind up until that point--but the lack of transparency and consideration left a bad impression. I hope they make this policy clearer online, so others don't have to go through a similar situation.

Maybe the extra light in the studio helps, maybe it is their fantastic staff - from the door to the floor - but it all made me happy and feel more content with my day once I went. The instructors are amazing and so bada**, I wish I could have their endurance to talk and workout so hard at the same time! Having tried many other classes, no one has beaten my experience with them because they are so in tune with their clients and knowledgeable in helping you find the adjustments you need if you want them, which other places lack. I was surprised to see there wasn't a yelp location for Technique, but couldn't help but add one since this Studio is my favorite on Mercer Island. They offer pilates (group classes and personal training) as well as barre classes. Personally I have tried both types of group classes and have enjoyed a challenging, but fun workout experience. If you are debating I would suggest going for it - they even offer the first class for FREE. All the instructors are great and will customize even the class workouts to what your body can do/needs and the upbeat music and energy really holds you accountable so you aren't slacking (like I do when I try to workout from home and end up taking breaks or sitting down). The studio itself is located in a cute shopping center area with parking spaces in front that are usually available. Parking is free and pretty easy as well. For classes I would recommend checking out their website and booking online to make sure you have a space. Definitely a great place to workout at any starting level of fitness, highly recommend!!! My wife & I enjoyed her class and her attention to detail, the class had a unique flow that the both of us enjoyed, Emily not only was in front of the class leading us through the moves but she also moved around and corrected the postures of the students. Also enjoyed going to the BeYoga Burien studio which has lots of character (meaning old) and was honored to be walking around the studio which was watered by the sweat and tears from yogis past! I also take Yoga classes at their newer studio BeYoga-Renton, super clean but like every yoga studio has a few minor things that are being worked on correcting. The instructors are top notch and staff is friendly. Ang is the manager for BeYoga Renton & Josh is the manager for BeYoga Burien, both are excellent instructors, friendly and will make sure that you have a good experience at both studios.....
