I have always wanted to get into yoga but never had the chance until I was on maternity leave. I started going to the Limber Babies class and O M G my baby and I looove it. It's literally the highlight of my week. At the beginning of class Aubrey checks in with every person to see how our mind and bodies are feeling and what our bodies need work on so she can decide what yoga poses to help strengthen us. 1000/10 review for this place if I could! My baby and I literally adore the atmosphere and everyone (the other moms and babies there). We even made other mom friends and go to get coffee right across the street afterwards. If you are thinking about coming here but just on the fence about it, I can assure you that you will NOT regret it! read more

*Limber Babies review only* I have been going to this studio for a couple of weeks now for their Limber Babies class, and I LOVE it. I live in Ballard, and I drive to this studio...with a newborn...who hates car rides....That's gotta tell you it's good studio! I like that those classes are late mornings so I have time to make it. There are two different instructors who teach the two classes. I enjoy both. I have noticed Aubrey goes around and soothes fussy babies, so if you are concerned about attending, I recommend her class first so she can help out. The workout itself is good for getting back into the groove. I normally don't sweat or get my heart rate up, but I do get in some stretching and just doing some of the poses feels great. They offer a great newbie package - 3 for $30, which I recommend. There is normally plenty of street parking within a block of the studio. Warning- Try to pack light if you are coming with a baby, as there is a flight of stairs you have to go up to reach the studio. It can get heavy with a car seat, diaper bag, etc. I wish this studio was closer so I could try out more classes! I definitely recommend them! read more

I was new to yoga, and frankly scared to death given my out of shape condition. Aubrey was exactly what I needed to get my butt in gear. She is the greatest. She is funny, approachable, TALENTED, and works very hard with all of her students at a pace that works for them. You can tell she is passionate about yoga, health and wellness. The studio itself is beautiful and colorful and clean with a great energy to it. She provides all the mats, bolsters, belts and blankets. Just walk in with your Ready face on, and try it out. You won't be disappointed I've also taken my son to the toddler gym she hosts on Tuesday and that was a nice break for us both. He met new friends, tumbled on mats and headed for the stuffed animal tent. We will be back! (my butt needs it.). read more

My first experience with yoga was back in Chicago about 14 years ago; I found a fabulous instructor who adjusted yoga to my level and who was able to integrate a tad bit of spirituality into each class -- nothing severe just enough to make me remember my spirit impacted everything around me. When I moved to Seattle 10 yrs ago I looked for similar experiences and wasn't able to fine one. Until 3 months ago when I decided to try Limber Yoga. It's true that it is literally 100 feet from my apartment bldg and yes that helps but what really keeps me coming back is Aubrey as the instructor. Aubrey is approachable, extremely engaged in each of her students and absolutely makes sure when we leave, we feel better than when we arrived. I so enjoyed it that when my 70+ yr old mom visited, I encouraged her to try it out. My mom was not too keen on the idea having tried yoga before with someone who was very robotic and not attentive and so my Mom didn't think SHE could DO yoga. After seeing my committment to it my Mom gave it a try with a 1:1 class. She LOVED it. She raved and raved about Aubrey. I was again impressed with Aubrey b/c she wrote down a series of positions my mom could do even after she returned to Wisconsin. My Mom is searching for a class in WI (and i am sad for whomever the instructor is b/c s/he will never live up to Aubrey). My own history of comitting to a class/work out/exerices routine is less than stellar; I have a hard time sticking with something and always hate classes where everyone is perfect and able to do every move/position with no problem, it's intimidating. With Limber Yoga, I've been able to committ to 3 classes a week for over 3 months AND at 6:15a.m. I encourage anyone, regardless of experience or perceived ability, to try Limber Yoga, you'll find yourself hooked! read more

I started training at Limber Yoga at the end of 2009. The instructor, Aubrey, is fantastic - very professional and knowledgeable. I am a yoga beginner, and within 3 months have noticed increased energy and flexibility, and now have a relaxing and enjoyable weekly activity. Aubrey has a unique ability to communicate technical maneuvers and positions. She also understands the biology of the body and can expertly gauge the limitations and potential of all body types. Aubrey and her husband Bob (who runs martial art classes in the same facility) are great, friendly people who know their stuff and provide a fun and encouraging atmosphere to workout. The facility is clean, inviting, and new with lots of natural light. It's located in West Seattle; I commute from Ballard once a week for a weekday class. Class times are convenient, and the location is extremely easy to find. Highly recommended! read more

I was feeling pretty low with pandemic depression. I had a poor attitude , anxiety and bodyaches. I went to Aubrey's yoga class on Wednesday night at 6 o'clock. What a turnaround. I was amazed how much better I felt. She seem to tailor the class just for me despite there being many students in class. This was my first ever yoga class experience. I'm taking the prenatal yoga class. I have a little bit of yoga experience but never in a class. Aubrey is so nice and makes this class really enjoyable. I felt like I learned a lot already and can't wait for next week. The class size is nice and small so there's a lot of individual attention given. You don't have to bring a thing either. She has mats, blocks and blankets. Really like that she has blankets to give your knees a rest and to make this more comfortable while pregnant. Great class, great teacher. I've been attending the prenatal yoga class at Limber for a few months now and I can honestly say I look forward to it every week. Aubrey is down to earth, helpful, and leads a fun class. The space is great and even though it's on a busy street she creates a calming atmosphere. The studio has just about everything you need for class- bolsters, blocks, blankets, mats, etc. Most people bring their own mat but you honestly could just show up. I have been going to the prenatal yoga classes taught by Aubrey and they are amazing! I'm not a very big fan of yoga, but I figured it would be helpful during and after my pregnancy. I started yoga at Aubrey's studio September 2013. I was doing prenatal yoga on Capitol Hill, and was unimpressed by every studio (and every teacher) I tried. Aubrey's prenatal classes were a breath of fresh air! Because of who she is, she creates an incredible space for community. She's open, authentic and friendly, and that rubbed off on all of us mamas doing prenatal. I have made no fewer than 4 lasting friendships because I go to Limber. I love that she has a Limber Momma closed Facebook group, run by one of my mama friends. I was able to donate my extra breast milk through the group - and what a cool experience it is to donate milk. I am extremely picky about yoga teachers and Aubrey is probably the best I have ever had. She is very athletic and get push you to your limit but she is inclusive of all people (and body types) and will gently and discreetly offer you modifications if something it too hard/not right for your body, so you can actually enjoy yoga too! Not only are her classes amazing but she is very kind and thoughtful person as well. I took prenatal yoga here for almost my entire pregnancy. Limber is great for pre natal. I've been taking prenatal yoga on Sunday's with Aubrey. She's super awesome and so is the class. Yesterday my husband and I did the partners yoga for pregnancy with Megan.We were the only attendees so that was great. My husband loved it. It was also a good way for him to be introduced to yoga and learn some of the basic moves. It also was cool giving him s way to be more involved with the pregnancy and get in tune with me and baby. He has a tendency to think I just make stuff up from thin air re my pregnant body, symptoms, etc. so hearing guidance and getting tips from a professional was really good for him (and for me). I'm always wary of an "all levels" yoga class. I've been to a few, and they generally end up being a too-easy beginner class or it seems that everyone there is way more advanced than I am. Not a problem at Limber Yoga! I've been attending classes there for a couple of months now, and I've never been disappointed. Aubrey (the owner/instructor) is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I've seen everyone from yoga first-timers to seasoned yogi veterans in the All Levels class, but Aubrey is amazing at demonstrating different versions of various poses so that there's something doable and yet challenging for everyone. Plus, she's responsive to what the students in the class want to work on rather than being tied to a set routine. Every class I've attended has been different from the last. I especially recommend the Slow Flow class on Sundays. It's absolutely the most enjoyable, energizing workout I have ever done! read more

Having trained with Gary Kraftsow, myself, I knew I was in for a treat! And a treat it is! Aubrey is fantastic. She makes yoga so YOU can do it too! Every level is in each class, so she personalizes (or at least offers MANY options), so that you can find YOUR yoga. Lovely. AND there's a Toddler Play Gym too??? It's just right. I LOVE this yoga studio so much I took the ferry over from Vashon while pregnant to attend the Sunday morning prenatal yoga classes. Aubrey, the owner/teacher, is very warm, welcoming and a great instructor. And it was a treat to get to know the other pregnant moms and see them come back to visit with their babies. But what really prompted me to write this review was the birthday party we just had there - so much fun. The kids (ranged from babies to 5 year olds) did yoga, had a picnic, and played games. Limber Yoga's TODDLER YOGA sessions are the best! I have brought the twins that I watch for some time now and they look forward to it every week! Aubrey leads a really fun class that balances free play and circle time where the kids can meet new friends, learn, share, dance, sing, get their energy out, and explore their imaginations and still leave relaxed and happy. I HIGHLY recommend Limber Yoga! I started going to Limber's prenatal yoga classes at around week 20 of my pregnancy, and went 1-2 times per week through week 40. The classes were exactly what I needed - a perfect balance of strengthening and stretching and addressing the aches and pains commonly experienced by pregnant bodies! Beyond the physical aspects, the classes provided such positive support and sense of community - so important as we all prepared for such big changes in our lives - babies! In addition, my husband and I attended the Couples Prenatal Yoga for Labor class that Limber offers. First of all, let me say my husband is not at all one to participate in yoga of any kind, but he was (somewhat reluctantly) interested to see what we could learn in this class together to help us both prepare for the birth of our son. To my happy surprise, he absolutely loved the class - he really gave it 100% of his effort, got totally immersed in the breathing exercises (I've never seen him relax so quickly!), and finding ways to help me be more comfortable and progress during labor. We ended up modifying many of the poses since my husband is 6'5" and I'm much shorter. We adapted the poses in ways that worked for our bodies, height difference, arm length, etc., and found it really rewarding to find that perfect pose for US. I waited to write this review since I wanted to see how what we learned would play out in the real world - labor! It was just as we'd practiced - my husband knew how we could use his body to make mine more comfortable during labor, and it worked! From massage, to assisted squat positions, to my favorite - just BREATHING together, everything we learned in class together helped immensely as we went thru such an intense and ultimately joyful experience. Thank you so much to Aubrey and Megan for helping to prepare my body, mind, and spirit for the amazing journey of pregnancy, labor, birth, and now being a mom! I LOVE this yoga studio. Having lived in SoCal I was worried about finding the right yoga studio until I found Limber Yoga. Starting with prenatal yoga and baby yoga with Aubrey and Meghan, to flow with Aubrey, Sarah, and Tracey I couldn't be happier. This is the most versatile and family friendly studio in the world. They don't just "do" yoga. Each of the instructors is really in tune to developing each individual's yoga practice and every time I leave I feel that I have learned a new dimension to yoga and feel amazing. I've had the most ridiculous experience with this place. They offered 20 classes for $20 voucher, but they didn't mentioned that there won't be any classes really. First for the "people with vouchers" read "the second class citizens" or "the people they don't want to see them taking any classes", they only offered classes at 6am in the morning, or baby classes, or kids classes, or beginners classes at 8:30 pm. If you aren't a beginner, and you don't have a baby and you don't have children you're in bad luck. Nothing of that was mentioned on the voucher, of course. And if that wasn't bad enough, I signed up for the beginners class, just to get it over with, and I got a friendly e-mail from Aubrey the owner. She says if I don't have a voucher, I'm welcome in the class, but if I do have a voucher she's gonna put me on hold. She doesn't like them voucher people, they are not paying her enough. So why the voucher then? Maybe she was drunk when she write up the offer. I hope she gives me my $20 back and we forget that this ever happened.
