My baby and I literally adore the atmosphere and everyone (the other moms and babies there). We even made other mom friends and go to get coffee right across the street afterwards. The class was comprised of a diverse group of students -- truly all levels, all sizes, all ages, and many different abilities. It's always refreshing to take a "real people" yoga class! I would heartily recommend this studio as a place to learn or revisit the basics. Also, you know you've got a great yoga teacher when she starts the class by asking you what you want. People asked for shoulder work, core work, releasing low back tension, and she designed the class on the spot around those specific requests. Now that's someone who knows her yoga, not just a 200 hour certificate teacher who sticks to the same three vinyasa flow routines.

This isn't an aerobics class calling itself yoga; it's an informed, safe, mindful, calming, energizing practice that can be as challenging as the student wants. I'm a 20+ year practitioner and I like a more challenging practice but I see newer students enjoying practice too. I especially love how there are always millennials mixed in with retirement- aged yogis. With covid they closed their physical space and moved to zoom classes. I'm amazed to say that even the zoom classes are wonderful. I was skeptical, but Kim (the owner and only online teacher I've had) still helps with alignment if she notices you need help, and I still get that Whole Life Yoga feeling of calm and grounding.

While the class is a ton of fun, he doesn't neglect the technical aspects of yoga, and wants to make sure everyone is getting what they want from the class. So in addition to helping me become healthier on a physical level (flexibility, strength), Dylan likes to focus on the breath, which really helps relax the mind, and get rid of those stresses I seem to pick up on a day to day basis. Definitely recommend the class. I used to go from Queen Anne (a bit of a hike, so you know it's worth it) but now that I live in Fremont, it's just around the corner!)

First and foremost, Kaitlyn M is a rockstar. Her classes are thoughtful, creative, and the perfect balance of challenging yet approachable--you feel the work, but never in a discouraging way. She has amazing energy, gives spot-on cues, and her corrections are always gentle yet effective. I love how she explains what we're working on, what it targets, and how it should feel, while always offering both more advanced and less intense options. Her class flow, the challenge, the stretching--it's all delicious! Her professionalism and ease make it feel like she's been teaching forever, yet she hasn't lost her spark or edge. I'm beyond grateful for her classes and (selfishly) wish she taught even more! Honestly, I hesitate to write this because I don't want to end up stuck on the waitlist, but credit is due where it's deserved--Kaitlyn is amazing! I also have to shout out some of the other fantastic instructors at Vitality: Liz's jumpboard classes are an absolute blast--her spunky energy is contagious, and I look forward to my Thursday nights with Liz and our little jumpboard crew every single week! Mari's classes are top-notch; they're usually waitlisted, and there's a reason why--she's fantastic. Sharareh is a newer teacher, and I love how much care, affinity, and belief in the power of Pilates she brings to every class. She is tender in the best way. Michele also started more recently, but you'd never know it. She taught the first class I ever took at Vitality, and I had no idea she was new--her instruction was clear, and she spoke to the fundamentals of Pilates beautifully. Teaching a beginner class can be tricky, and she handled it seamlessly! Natalie--creative, challenging, and guaranteed to kick your butt! MK is always a joy--consistent and lighthearted, and I leave every class with a smile. Andy... OMG. So hard. So many planks. But a great class nonetheless! Overall, I'm incredibly grateful for Vitality. Their pricing is reasonable, allowing me to do the unlimited package, which has improved both my physical and mental health tenfold. This place is truly a gem!

I have been seeing Grace since last October for a several reasons…read more I come from a group fitness background I needed something other than classes in a gym setting to kept me accountable. I have a gym in my building but got terribly bored of working out with my ipod and running on the treadmill watching TV. I found Grace through my sister. We did some buddy training then soon after I stole her all to myself. Personally, I have never had a personal trainer that works out with me and Grace does! It's like having a workout buddy. She is always in tune with how my day is going, my week is going, what lies ahead and helps me get over hurdles. Grace is very knowledgeable and has a huge background in nutrition, both through Greenlake Nutrition and with her extensive education. She is an athlete herself and believes strongly in wellbeing. She is also very reasonably priced! If you don't (although she will) want to workout at Greenlake doing some stairs and running or work out with her in your buildings gym you can go see her at her gym in Capital Hill. She is super flexible, low pressure sales and has some pretty amazing workouts. My body loves her for it. I'll describe our sessions in a cluster of words because sometimes when you are working hard all you can get out are one or two words. Here's what comes to mind. COMMITMENT, Warm up, check in, stretch, run, faster, run, slower, run, farther, stretch, circuit, bicycles, jumpies, cycling, PERSIVERANCE, sweat, jump down, jump up, sweat, repeat, lunge, squat, strength, booty, strength, body, abs, ouch, ACCOMPLISHMENT, LOVE! I recommend Grace if you trying to get back into shape, new to working out, need to shed some winter pounds, train for a race or training for life.

I started with zero goals, no intention of making this a regular thing, and no previous exercise history. I had quite a few presuppositions of what hiring a personal trainer would be like. After the first few minutes of the first session, I realized that Grace was far from the stereotypical image I held of personal trainers. Grace is committed, competent, considerate, punctual, professional, flexible, genuine, and knowledgeable. Working with Grace is challenging yet rewarding. She has helped me get from no history of exercise (ever) to being able to run for 6 miles in 5 months. She has carefully crafted specific workouts around my busy schedule and my own personal goals (which were easy to discover as soon as Grace helped me realize my own potential). I hold few people in high esteem, however Grace is one of them. She is an inspiration to not only exercise but to live a holistic healthy life.
