Tasted like American premade bbq sauce on top of the dry ribs. Didn't seem to have any traditional flavor to it. Wouldn't come here if I was craving real Chinese.

The worst service for HH!!! Server forgets your drink order, brings your food orders that you didn't order but she argues with you and then says, sorry I may have misunderstood. As we watch her walk back to the bar , obviously she talks about our table as the entire crew looks at us. The service was horrible but food was such bad quality. Tofu on HH was so hard and dry we could barely eat it. So surprised this place is still open despite the poor food quality and horrible service. We closed our tab and moved to a different location for as the service and Vibe was horrible.

There is a category of Chinese restaurants that aim for non-Chinese high-end eaters. This is one. Most ethnic restaurants claim to specialize in a subsystem of that ethnicity: southern India, north Mexican, cajun foods, California cuisine, etc. When a restaurant claim to be them all, that a ref flag. This one offers a flag-ship dish of Peking duck. Honestly not bad. Then I would expect them to be relatively northern or Peking for the rest. Nope, they are all of the places. And just mediocre. The deco was tasteful, waiting quality excellent, full high quality bar too. If you are not too picky on the foods being authentic Chinese. It's fine. I myself probably will not return.

We showed up to an empty restaurant and were seated right away. The drinks were delicious -- the lychee martini was especially great. Unfortunately, the food experience was pretty disappointing. When we first looked at the menu, we were told they were out of dumplings. Not just one kind -- all dumplings. That's a pretty core dish for a Chinese restaurant, so it was surprising. The cucumber salad was also lacking flavor, and the spare ribs were just okay. After we ordered, another guest sat down and was told about the happy hour menu. We were surprised because no one had mentioned it to us. When we asked to see it, we found that it actually had a better selection -- including dumplings, which we had just been told they were out of. That was frustrating and definitely changed our experience. If we had been given the happy hour menu from the start, the night probably would have gone very differently. I did notice they're currently looking for a new chef, so hopefully some improvements are coming. The drinks were great, so there's potential here -- but overall it was a pretty disappointing visit.

Was here for a wedding, we were served with a wide range of Chinese dishes. All of them are very good, and the following 2 dishes are the most stand out! Black Cod with ginger: Great heat from the wok enhanced the flavour of ginger and freshness of cod. The sauce is flavourful and each bite of fish's are soft. Beijing duck: The chief prepared a whole duck for the table. You can made the warp yourself with few slices of duck, cucumber, sugar and oyster sauce. The duck is hot and juicy! We enjoy the service from the restaurant and the little room at the back is great for a small wedding!!

The ambiance here is elegant and moody. Our server was cool in the beginning, but definitely got the feel over the course of the dinner that he would've rather been elsewhere lol. When it comes to food the best dish of the night had to be the prawn curry hands down. It was so flavorful and was a healthy portion. The spicy soup dumplings were also good, though hard to get out of the container without puncturing them as they were stuck to the paper. The noodle dish was below average. I was upset with how little flavor it had. I've also never had flavorless peking duck until last Friday. For the duck to be $88 I was expecting more, but I guess you're just paying for the "performance" from the gentleman who comes to your table to carve the meat for you. I'm so glad I saw him at a prior table as well because they leave sooo much meat still attached to the bird/bones & just discard it in the kitchen, leaving you with like 20 pieces of cut meat. We definitely made sure to ask that we keep all of the extra to get our money's worth and not be wasteful. Drinks were good & the dessert that came in celebration of my niece was nice, but with everything I've said is it enough for me to personally return ? No.

What a fun, good dining experience we had last night. Service was excellent. Best Peking duck I have ever had. A little pricy but enough for 4 to share. Also got to get the egg plant. It's the best. They crisp it and then add the sauce. Not mushy like most restaurants. Highly recommend.

Baron's has a mixed menu overall. The Peking duck is solid, and the fish dishes are good. I would skip the mapo tofu, and all of the fried rice dishes were pretty mid. If you're choosing between dishes, the crab vermicelli is a better option than the lobster rice. I'd also skip dessert here. The ambiance is okay, and the service is fine, nothing memorable but nothing bad either. Overall, a decent spot with a few highlights, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.

    Roast Signature Duck Dinner

Go-to place for roast duck! We came for the Mother's Day combo so there were limited options compared to normal dinner, but it was a lovely evening. The sauce used for the duck is a tad sweeter than I'm used to (authentically speaking) and they don't give nearly enough pancakes for the duck. The refills are also pretty pricey at $4 for 12. The pea vines in broth were very tough and not at all what I was hoping for. The flavor was pleasant but they were really chewy so we had to reach for some floss after. Kung pao prawns and chicken were pretty tasty and flavorful, kung pao is a mysterious flavor profile in the first place so every place does it differently! Love the duck egg buns here. They need to put a warning on the menu because they are super runny, and hot!

Visited here with a larger group for lunch and then for Happy Hour. Their Happy Hour menu has a great selection of food, cocktails, beer & wine. i ordered their Smoked Toki Barreled Aged Old Fashion and it came to the table in an entertaining presentation! I also tried the picked spicy vegetables which were more spicy than pickled. Service was really attentive. The ambiance is modern, dark and upscale.

    Black Pepper Wagyu Sirloin

Walked past this many times and finally got some time to check it out. We tried a couple of items during dinner time. The black pepper beef wagyu sirloin was crispy on the outside and soft inside and was a very good complement to the Wok fried udon noodles. We also tried the soup dumplings. They were all pretty good. Personally I feel that the quantity to price of soup dumpling is a bit too steep. The service was okay. They have a default 2% charge for the kitchen staff. The ambiance is excellent and and very good place to socialize.

    lychee martini and a sangria

Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of Lincoln Square South in downtown Bellevue. It's a more westernized and upscale Chinese restaurant. Well appointed decor. Has a pretty big restaurant seating on one side, and then a smaller section with small tables and the bar on the other side. We went for happy hour at about 4pm on a weekday, and there was hardly anyone there. This review is for their happy hour, which has a smaller discounted menu. The food is mostly dimsum items, and there's a list of drinks as well. The dimsum is pretty affordable, $5-7 per item, and even the platter was $13. We got the platter and a bunch of dimsum items. They tasted decent enough. Not as good or authentic as a nice dimsum restaurant, but no big complaints and pretty good considering the price. The lychee martini I got was sweet, which I liked. Total was $70 which is very reasonable, and we were full and didn't need dinner. Service was really good.

We had high hopes for Baron Sino Kitchen & Bar, but the experience was disappointing. Service was extremely slow--we waited a long time just to place our order, and even saw another guest struggle for nearly 20 minutes to get his check. The pacing of the meal was also off. Appetizers arrived well into the meal, and the signature Peking duck came out only after other dishes were cold or finished. While the duck itself was flavorful and well prepared, the other dishes fell flat. The fried eggplant was mostly heavy breading with barely any pork, the vegetarian noodles were undercooked with an unpleasant texture, and only the green beans were decent. To make matters worse, we ordered the duck rack but after waiting over 30 minutes, after the main duck dish came out, with no sign of it, we eventually had to cancel. That, more than anything, highlighted the lack of coordination between the kitchen and service staff. Overall, the experience did not match the restaurant's price point or its promises. Baron Sino Kitchen & Bar is a shell of what it used to be--we visited about five years ago and the food and service were far superior then.

The menu shows off many colorful fruit flavored carbonated beverages all of which sound delicious. Sometimes its really good and addicting. Other times ive been, ive gotten a few drinks that were flat and very bland flavor as if they skipped adding some of the listed flavors. I dont fully understand why. The concept is simple, they use soda and add a scoop of fruit pulp, a pump or so of syrup, and a sprinkle of dried fruit bits. I could be wrong, but I feel like i noticed they use large bottle of the carbonated drink to pour many drinks, but they go flat over time. Which means some people will get flat drinks. On my last visit i ordered several drinks. One was bland and flat.I tried to get them to remake my flat drink, but they warned me it would still be flat. I insisted as my other drinks we had taste better having more carbonated spark and sweet juicy flavors. They remade it using the same bottle of soda and it was just as flat and bland the second time so I just tossed the drink and sipped on my families drinks that tasted amazing. Idk if i would recommend this location as it seems to be so hit or miss. Maybe just make sure they use fresh soda and also that they give you all the mentioned flavors. Hey, maybe on my last visit they just ran out of flavor and fresh soda and didnt want to tell me. When they make it right, its absolutely worth a try.

Nine enticing creations make up their menu, all of them being fruity and vibrant in color. Ordering is very simple on the kiosk as you just select your drink and also choose an Adaptogen, which is their version of a health "boost". A few of the Adaptogens are free of cost (I selected the immunity one), but other more premium options will cost a dollar or two extra. According to the staff member, most of the Adaptogens are flavorless. All drinks are $7 each and only come in one size. I've visited on two different occasions and both times, my seltzer was ready in just a couple minutes. + PINEAPPLE BREEZE: A refreshing combination of pineapple purée, passion fruit purée, freeze-dried passion fruit and a thin slice of dried pineapple. Both fruity flavors were balanced; I could taste the bright pineapple and the juicy tropical passion fruit. The seltzer was crisp and perfect to enjoy in the Seattle sun. The freeze-dried passion fruit dissolved over time, strengthening the intensity of its flavor with each sip. + RUBY REFRESHER: This drink included cherry purée in addition to lychee. The menu stated that it also includes coconut, but the employee who helped us said that they have never added coconut to the drink, so I'd suggest that they update the description. Additionally, she said that they were out of the actual lychee fruit which would have otherwise been placed on top, so she substituted with some freeze-dried strawberries. This said, the drink strayed from what was displayed on the menu, but it was still good. The cherry flavor tasted very natural and the lychee flavoring brought a juicy sweetness. With this being located within the Lincoln Food Hall, these seltzers are somewhat of a splurge, but are the perfect addition to round out any meal.
