I was extremely apprehensive about taking my puppy to a groomer after having a semi traumatic experience with her first professional grooming, but Bark in Style was recommended to us by our trainer, so I decided to give them a try. When we got there we were greeted by an incredibly friendly woman, Beata, who asked us what we wanted from this grooming, etc. Our puppy was so excited to be there, it was kind of strange! She ran into the back to see all of the other dogs and we could tell she felt at ease. Upon returning, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the groomer did a fantastic job! Our puppy was perfectly groomed and she was able to get her to sit still enough to trim her face (which was covered in ridiculous amounts of fur before). She even put cute little bows in her hair. I could tell she felt like a whole new puppy! I would highly recommend Bark in Style to anyone in the Seattle area because of her wonderful service, inexpensive prices, and flexible scheduling. Thank you Bark in Style! read more

I have been coming here with my three dogs for two years and it has been a wonderful experience! I have an old dog who is scared of the dryer, a deaf dog who is scared of everything and a third dog that won't be quiet! The groomers are amazing; they are very experienced, and will do whatever is needed to make your dog comfortable and happy. The grooming of the dogs is always exactly what I ask for and is of the highest quality. I highly recommend you try this groomer- you will be very glad you did! read more

I just took my dog for the first time and was very impressed with the level of customer service! My little man looks so handsome after his haircut and he came home with a fun pumpkin bandana for Halloween! read more

I've taken my dog here about 3 or 4 times for his usual Furminator shampoo/brush/nail trim services - with tip, it comes out to about $50 (I think the actual service costs $40). There have been a couple times where, like the other reviewers mentioned, his nails were cut so short that his nails had blood on them with some sort of powder. The first time it happened, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it off to my dog being anxious/moving his paw away so the groomer had no choice. Though, I would have hoped that the groomers would stop trimming once my dog started bleeding, and just told me afterwards that they stopped due to him being in pain, but I guess... different strokes for different folks? However, it happened a second time - so now whenever I bring him in, I just let them know that they can stop halfway with the nail trim if he's getting too stressed out. I would most likely go somewhere else, but this place is within walking distance from my house, and the groomers are (usually) very nice. read more

I've been taking my dog here since around the time they opened (maybe 3-4 years?) and have always been very pleased. They are prompt to call me when my dog is done so that he doesn't have to wait around for me to come pick him up (he's a bit of a nervous dog). I really appreciate that. Cut is always consistent and he's the softest thing ever when he comes out of there! Couldn't be happier! read more

I've been taking my dog to Bark in Style for over three years and in the last year the service has gone downhill. During the last three visits they haven't listened to what I have asked for. This was the third time in a row and now I am moving on. I am not sure what changed but the service and my dog's haircuts have been inconsistent. Like another reviewer mentioned he has a card there and they should be familiar by now. read more

Our first visit produced a wonderful haircut and happy dog. The second visit produced a very uneven haircut, rude groomer, and very unhappy dog. Not sure what happened the second time around, but we won't be going back. read more

Our 13 month old goldendoodle Rocky has received nothing less than the best care here. The staff is wonderful and I have complete confidence in their advice and care. After four visits I wouldn't think of going anyplace else, and if they weren't close to home I'd travel to get here. A great operation thanks to caring and knowledgable staff. read more

I found my groomer Molly again!! She moved from another groomer to Bark in Style. My dogs love her and they look beautiful! I always get compliments on my dogs after she grooms them. So glad I found her again read more

Tired of Crabby dog groomers who don't listen? Well, this place is great in terms of grooming and courtesy. I was beginning to think all groomers developed the same personalities as the worst Dogs thy groomed! read more

I've brought my Brittany spaniel here a few times, she only gets groomed twice a year. I've booked online and over the phone, and both processes have been good. The shop usually seems a little chaotic. There are a lot of dogs and a lot of commotion. Whenever we arrive the staff give Daisie a treat, and take her to the back. It typically takes 4 hours from drop off until I pick her up. They give her bandanas and although she's always eager to leave (that's been the case at every groomer she's ever been to), her haircuts look good and she smells good! read more

This is the best grooming salon in all of Seattle. The 5$ walk in nail trims are super convenient and fast, I never have to wait. My dogs love their groomers and always look amazing. They're totally relaxed for their grooming because even they know their groomer will treat them amazingly. Other places may be able to match BIS' price but never the customer service. read more

We have two curly haired Bichon/Yorkie mix boys and were thrilled to finally find groomers that deliver great service and an amazingly even cut... have to say they are the best we've found; we've been to four other groomers before Bark in Style. All of the groomers charged $50 or $55 dollars per dog... so the price is definitely following that market trend. It's the first time I am glad to tip on top of paying the bill. read more

After many attempts at over 10 places in Seattle, I have to say that Bark in Style is my all time favorite. My pooch always comes out of there looking like a little teddy bear. Fabulous grooming. I wanted to give this 4 stars, and the only reason is because it's expensive. At least for me, anyway. I usually pay around $60, unless y pooch is matted, in which case I pay more, and by the time I leave a tip, I have busted the bank at around $75. I try to space it out and go once every two months so I can save up for it, but if it were more reasonably priced, I'd be in there regularly every month. the price still doesn't keep me from coming in, don't get me wrong, I haven't found anything better than Bark in Style, but it does prevent me from coming in any time I want. I guess you get what you pay for. Great staff too. :) btw, I have a 20lb yorkie-poodle with human like hair.. and they do a wonderful job with her. read more

Beata is great. First of all, you can book appointments online which is fantastic!!! She is fast and she'll quote you a pick up time at drop off, which she holds to- never been late! The dogs look fantastic and cute when they are done. Beata will listen to the type of haircut you ask for, and deliver. Prices are fair. read more

My Cockapoo tried Bark in Style for the first time this weekend, It came recommended from my dogwalker (who knows a few dogs...), and after reading the reviews, I decided it was worth going out of my way from W.Seattle to Wallingford. We are so glad we did. They have a friendly, open & clean area where you can see the dogs getting groomed, and everyone seemed to enjoy their work. Booking online was extremely easy and convenient. We were looking for a new groomer after 2 1/2 yrs at the same groomer, my girlie decided the last 2 visits, she did not want to go and would pull me away when we got out of the car, which didn't get any better when the handler came near her. Short of speaking to me, I got the hint. Needless to say, I wasn't sure how she would be when I returned to pick her up. No fear, she was happy as a clam, and giving kisses to her groomer. Whew. Thank you Bark in Style! I'll be glad to make regular visits to Wallingford. read more

This is the first time I have ever had to take a dog to be groomed professionally so I was a bit nervous. I was immediately put at ease when I entered the salon; it was so clean and tidy and the workers were extremely friendly and outgoing. When I picked up my newly shaved dog she was so happy I knew she had been treated well. One employee even told me an adorable story about her bathtime! I will continue to take Rowan to Bark in Style for as long as I am in Seattle. read more

I brought my newly adopted pup in for his first day at the doggie spa since adopting him and couldnt be more pleased! You could tell the staff both enjoyed what they were doing and loved the dogs. They made me feel super comfortable leaving my dog in their hands. Draper came out looking clean, handsome, and less traumatized than I thought he would be! I will def be coming back! Thank you so much read more

I bring my cat here once a year for a 'lion cut' during shedding season. After trying other groomers this is the best place I've found. It can be hard to accommodate a cat, especially a skiddish one with all those dogs around. But they do a great job and are wonderful with the animals. The owner is especially nice and sweet and often does my cat herself because she knows how jumpy she is. I never thought I'd take a cat in for a hair cut but it makes it so much easier in the spring when we don't have to deal with fur all over the place! And she looks so freaking cute with a mane and a poof on the end of her tail! read more

If you like your dog to be happy as well as clean and beautiful after a grooming visit, this is the place to go. The owner has a gentle way with the dogs and treats every job with care. She could have shaved my northern breed puppy behind the ears to get out the major knots in her fur, but instead did some careful cutting and brushed it out -- it looks just like fresh puppy fur, no "bad haircut" look. A very careful job, efficient, very fair price, pleasant interaction, knowledgeable groomer, neighborhood business -- nothing else needed to get my future business. Highly recommended. read more

I also found Bark in Style through Yelp and I am so happy I did! I have an 8 month extra small yorkie who was in dire need of a cut. I've been putting off the first haircut for so long because I was afraid the little guy just couldn't handle it - I have enough trouble when my husband and I wash him, much less trying to trim him up and have him sit still in the process. The Bark in Style staff listened to all of my concerns, as well as my hatred for the dreadful yorkie "puppy cut". I had yorkies in the past and every time I would get them cut (even though I specifically requested to keep them long) I would always return to a short haired "puppy cut" dog. Not this time! My puppy was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Perfect length, beautiful facial layering of the hair, so clean and fresh - and such a happy dog! He pranced around all weekend showing off his new cut and I couldn't be happier. It was super easy to schedule, the staff is amazing, the dog is happy and gorgeous... what's not to love? I will keep going back. If you are fearful of groomers you've dealt with in the past, if your dog is afraid or skitterish when getting washed or if you are just looking for an excellent, knowledgeable groomer who obviously loves what she does - go here! You will not be sorry! read more

We took our six month old Old English Sheepdog, with LOTS of hair, to get professionally groomed for the first time this weekend. I can only imagine what a monster he might have been to handle but the groomer said he did great. We even peeked in the window and he was standing there for his final clipping happy as a clam. They were extremely busy that day so they forgot to call us to let us know that they would need an extra 45 minutes, next time we'll know to call before we go. Needless to say, our pup walked out nothing short of ADORABLE!! We'll definitely be taking him back here. read more

We love the kind and capable way they wash and trim our labrodoodle. This breed tends to get snarly, knotted hair. The groomers here really know how to handle this problem. read more

This place is ridiculously expensive, completely over rated and when I called back to complain about the poor performance I was treated terribly. I requested a simple bath and nail trim but my dogs ears still had visible dirt in them when i picked him up!!! unacceptable. read more

Wow! Today was my first trip to Bark In Style for some grooming for my cat. I am very impressed with the kind, gentle, professional, thorough staff and how they handled and groomed my cat. My cat was so stressed he pooped in his crate, and the staff didn't bat an eye, one person cleaning the crate while the other groomed my cat. We were in and out, and the 4 dogs being groomed while we were there looked so relaxed and happy, and the staff seemed really top notch. I would definitely go back again the future, and can recommend them highly for cat grooming (an art!). Wow, wow, wow. read more

I got my dog groomed here about two months ago and they did a great job on him, he is a bit nervous - he is a rescue and i think has never been groomed. It was his first grooming experience and they made sure everything was great. They even recommended that I see a mobile groomer since he was SO anxious to be groomed. he was soft, smelt great and was so comfortable after being groomed. I would use them again. They are great! read more

I walked in to get my cats nails trimmed. They were able to take me right away and answered all my questions with a smile. The groomer (it was so fast I didn't even catch her name, sorry!) was very efficient and gentle with my cat with a room full of dogs. I'm impressed. Very affordable, great location. read more

YOU SHOULD NEVER COME HERE! I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! THEY INJURE DOGS, THEY HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEIR HAIRCUTS COULD BE PRETTY BAD, AND THEY ARE CARELESS WITH THE DOGS! I dropped off my dog for his first hair cut and 5 hours later I showed up at the place to go pick him up. Only to find him with a HIDEOUS HAIRCUT which I had politely asked to fix, and was managed with a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE and a more CHOPPY HAIRCUT. Not only did he seem not as excited to see me as usual, but also as if he were in SERIOUS PAIN. Though the Jessica (the hair dresser) did not give us any information of what was wrong. So when I just got home, I notice that he is whining a lot and I find that his LEFT EYE IS INJURED! The top layer of his pupil is torn off! Not only did they INJURE HIS EYE, but also that Jessica didn't even let us know what had happened or what she had done. I'm VERY WORRIED about his eyesight and am taking him to the vet RIGHT AWAY! read more
