Hats off to Hondo at Floof Greenlake for doing AMAZING with my puppy's first groom! He treated him so well and my dog felt safe and loved with him. I can't emphasize enough how appreciative I am! Floof's scheduling is easy and they're transparent about pricing. Their salon is in a great spot off Greenlake so you can take your dog for a walk before heading in. Hondo and the team were very reasonable and accommodating with my puppy! They let me know that they'd take care of him but would respect his limits so he wouldn't feel overwhelmed. They have allergy-friendly dog treats and a very sweet shop dog. When the groom was over, they gave us some free poop bags!! I appreciate all of the care and love the folks at Floof showed my boy. He was so soft and happy when we left. We'll be back :) read more

My senior dog sees Jack and he does a great job! The bath and haircut take less than an hour and dog comes happy and not stressed!

Did a great job with my anxious senior dog. He doesn't like getting groomed but they were gentle with him.

We love Floof! Headed back for second groom this week and bringing my sister's dogs too! Professional, friendly, trendy little boutique. My pups were calm and happy when picked up. Great work! read more

Great place to work! The customers are incredible and it's a friendly community hospitality service. They always have free treats and dog waste bags to offer dogs that stop by to say 'hi'! read more

Floof Pet Grooming - Pet Groomers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Terrible and disrespectful service from the owner. Have been going here for 2+ years with zero incidents. It's a shame since the groomers have always been good with my German shepherd, but will never be coming back. read more

I want to preface this review by saying we have always had an amazing experience with the groomers at Floof for the YEARS we have come here. I am taking down my 5 star review to replace it with this one. Our German Shepherd has anxiety which we have always been upfront about and is listed in her notes. However, we have always gotten feedback that she has been a perfect angel here during prior sessions. Today, I had the most horrid experience with the owner. Typically, the grooming sessions take 1.5 hours - 2 hours, but the groomer told me she was running 10-15 minutes late. I came in after 2 hours and 15 minutes, and let them know I hadn't received a text message but figured she would be done soon. The owner went back and informed me it would be an additional hour. I expressed concern (as again, my dog has anxiety and this has been thoroughly communicated to her and her team). She mentioned that they had to lock my dog in an isolation room for an hour due to concerns with other dogs. This was not communicated to me, nor was the delay in service communicated to me. I would have happily taken my dog to another groomer if she was unable to be serviced today rather than have her isolated in a room for an extensive period without my knowledge. I was expressing concern and feedback of the lack of communication and proper follow up by the owner in hopes other clients would not have this experience. This was not an accusation but rather genuine worry and concern for my dog with anxiety. Unfortunately, the owner was extremely defensive, so I decided to leave and wait elsewhere for my dog to be done. When I came to pick up my dog, I only addressed the groomer and in a calm and kind manner. However, the owner intervened and was rude to me and told me the service was on her, after I was ready and happy to pay and tip the groomer. She let me know we would not be welcome back and to remove myself and my dog immediately. I was incredibly frustrated and did react to her rude behavior and unprofessional manner. If it was not clear before she said that, I was NEVER planning to return and support this woman's business or allow my dog with anxiety to be left alone in the care of a woman who clearly does not know how to take accountability or communicate appropriately with owners of dogs with anxiety. read more

We took our 3+ year old pomeranian to her first ever full groom at Floof in Magnolia! We take her to Petco for regular nail buffs and sanitary trims, and after extensive research, decided to try Floof for a proper haircut. Kudos to Ian for his flawless attitude and being so attentive to our asks. Millie came out smiling and looked absolutely beautiful. read more

My scared pup always does great here for nail trims!! Staff is super nice. Usually little to no wait time for walk in nails.

The care of pet companions goes beyond veterinary needs. But, routine grooming (teeth, nails, skin, glands, hair, and fur) is often either overlooked or treated with little nuance. At Floof, however, there is a whole different philosophy: they prioritize the mental and physical comfort of the animal. Instead of prioritizing speed and volume, they prioritize the well-being of the animal throughout the experience. I am so impressed that there is a place pioneering a better way to groom dogs, a place that pays rapt attention to cues from the dog, a place that takes the time needed for a comfortable session. read more

Oh wow, Hobie, our terrier mutt really let his hair out and was needing a spring cut. Floof is our go to groomer that always takes extra care of our little fella. When we get in there for our appointment they always ask us questions on our and Hobies preferences. They keep their establishment super clean for filing in countless pups per day (PPD). When we come back to pick up Hobie he is happy as can be! They treat him very well and always send him off with a picture and a little bandana! If you're looking for a dog groomer, look no further than floof! read more

Had an amazing experience with Julius at FLOOF the first time we brought our golden retriever, so we decided to come back. This most recently groom by Hondo is making us reconsider bringing our dog elsewhere. This groom was shorter than her first one (2hrs vs the 3.5hrs) and definitely looks rushed. Upon further inspection when we got home, I noticed her tail was cut super blunt, her paws were trimmed terribly, and her ears were left untrimmed. I had gone back to the store and asked whether my dog was acting up during the groom, leading to these mistakes - especially with the paws. Hondo said she was great, but she was lifting her paws. An apology was said but we're just super disappointed with our experience this time especially since it was $140 + tip. read more

Took my 5 month mini goldendoodle puppy here for her first full groom and we cannot be happier with how it turned out! My puppy has gotten a puppy cut once before but we did not like that place. I love Floof because they spend one on one time with your pup all the way through. Compared to the first place we went for a puppy cut (just bath and their face/paws/sanitary areas) it took 4 hours. For my puppy's full groom this time took 1.5 hours. Nate was wonderful! I asked for a round face and 1/2 of her length cut off and they did exactly that. I was nervous about her first groom since I thought she would look so different but I am completely in love with how she looks!! And her cute fluffy ears!! The salon is nice and clean and has tons of cute doggy goods. And Floof is in such a good location so when your pup is getting groomed you can walk Greenlake or get a bite to eat and after take your pup for a well deserved walk! When they finished they texted us when she was ready and also gave us stickers from her little photoshoot! SO CUTE! And also a few poop bags. Just thought that was so thoughtful and a nice touch. Thank you for such a good experience and we will definitely be back! read more

I brought my dog Mouse here for the first time today and I am totally impressed! Mouse is a 9 year old chihuahua that I adopted in the beginning of the pandemic, being a rescue I want him to have the most socializing as he can handle so treating him to a spa day every month. Due to scheduling conflict with his previous groomer I decided to take him to Floof and I'm very impressed! The salon in itself is very clean and so cute and the staff was really friendly. Mouse had been overdue for his nail trim and they said they've handled worse. For a chihuahua they book out an hour and a half and I appreciate that they took the whole time to really go off of Mouse's comfortableness and don't overwhelm him by rushing. I really appreciate that Mouse's groomer Ian came out to talk with me afterwards to let me know how everything went and that the more Mouse comes in they more comfortable he will get. I really appreciate that they use a fear free groom method as well. Mouse now has a new grooming home :) read more

Pandemic has been hard on many but especially groomers in my experience. Baci's first groomer retired young/ left her job due to the violent homeless outside her work ( right downtown seattle vet on 3rd Ave, by pike place market). First they were closed due to covid for a long while, then she left. My long fluffy hair doodle needed grooming bad! Then we found one in west seattle, 2 hours driving in drop off and pick up each month ( bridge closed), much longer grooming appointments too since they do multiple dogs at once. We were happy for Baci till they went out of business abruptly! The same day we had our appointment no less. I was ready to follow that same groomer to Olympia.. till I found this place! Thank god we don't have to travel for grooming, literally. Floof is such a pretty spot. It was pretty hard getting an appointment at first but once we got it, it's been great. It's right on green lake, always busy. They also offer cbd infused treats to calm your pets. They are a lot more expensive than the groomers we've had before. Before they were $90-$110, now it's about $165 each time. But Baci comes back pretty and healthy so it's worth it. Alex was the groomer we first met, we've stayed with him since. Baci seems to like him too :) They also sell toys, treats, beds etc. They have a lot of groomers/ grooming stations too. We've found them while we were in south lake union, now we live in downtown Bellevue. We still make a trip for it. And I love that we get a little photo at the end! This recent grooming, someone in front of us took Baci's photo. (accidentally ??) Yes, he look that good! read more

Went in for a walk in nail trim and a self wash for my pup. Was able to get my dog right in for a nail trim with a job well done. The gentleman that assisted me up front was super friendly and thorough with information regarding pricing and processes. Pricing seems to be around what a normal groom in the area is. However, they only give a "range" for each breed, which I find to be a bit unfavorable. I would prefer a set price. My dog is a short haired dachshund mix so I don't have to deal with much of the "grooming" concerns in dog care so I can't speak much for it. The reason for the 4-stars is for the inconvenience of specifically visiting their facility for a self wash which, to my dismay, they unfortunately do not offer anymore. It wasn't indicated anywhere on their website - in fact it was still mentioned as available. No parking lot so street parking is always hit or miss. read more

Their grooming services are good, and the staff has generally been friendly. But, they have poor communication on their policies and expectations. They charged us a $60 late fee, even though they never communicated expectations of strict pick up times. They gave us a 4 hour estimate, but were done in 2 hours and expected us to pick up the dog then. They texted us to tell us there would be a fee with a 15 minute time window. Never asked for confirmations. Never called. And, definitely did not communicate this before the appointment or when we first set up our account. If policies are so strict, that should be communicated ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Will not come back. read more

They groomed my golden retriever and my Samoyed. Best groom either has ever had. Both of my girls are nervous about grooming, but both were calm and did not seem overly stressed when they were done. Both have silky fur and smell good! read more

I can't say enough about Floof! I am so glad they are open now. I've had my pup for about a year now, and her previous groomer's was so hard to make an appointment with (I had to leave about 3 voicemail messages just to get a call back), and I stopped going after I found they used clippers on her coat. She's a Pomeranian, and if you don't know, clippers can not only leave an uneven trim but also damage their protective undercoat. With COVID it's been so hard to find a new place to take her so I've just been holding off. I was able to get an appointment with Floof online very easily, and when the day of the appointment arrived and I had car troubles they were super accommodating when pushing the appointment time back. They were done in under an hour and a half -- at the old place I'd have to drop her off at 9 am and not get her back until they closed at 5 pm! I was a little nervous as I couldn't see any other work they had done with Poms -- most of their clients seem to be poodles, terriers, ect. But Jesse, the groomer, asked some great questions before the appointment to make sure the cut would turn out perfect, and it did. She paid a lot of attention to detail, and for $80 it was well worth the cost. Plus I got some adorable photos to take home too which was a great surprise. My dog was also much more comfortable in the space than she normally is at a groomers, and you can tell they really care about their clients (furry and not!). I hope they're able to stick around on Greenlake for a long time to come. read more

Had a perfect grooming experience with Nate for my 2 puppies. The black one is a 7-month cockapoo and it was his first spa experience at Floof. They made sure he had a good time and came back very handsome! I should have taken a before/after photo for you to see the difference. The white one is a regular fan for Nate and is following him from Rex. He's so happy finding his favorite groomer in Seattle. These guys are INCREDIBLE. This is the kind of business you'll want to build a lifelong relationship with. They clearly love dogs and work with you (and your pup!) to create the best experience possible. They de-matted, groomed, and loved-on my bernadoodle puppy, going above and beyond and giving him the extra time needed for the perfect cut. I chose Floof to get my puppy groomed for the first time ever and I'm so glad I did! My mini aussie pup is very anxious and never does well with blow drying or standing still during grooming. I was very scared dropping her off because I was sure they would call me early saying my puppy won't tolerate any of it. But I was wrong! They were able to fully groom her despite it being her first time and told me she was nervous but was able to make it through all the way. Everyone was very nice and sweet to the dogs so my puppy probably felt loved and cared for! I'll be coming back for future deshedding/grooming appointment. read more

We recently moved to Seattle and were looking for a new groomer for our bichon-poodle mix. I'm quite particular with how I want him groomed, and he requires frequent trips ie every 6 weeks. We couldn't be more happy with his grooming at Floof and with his groomer Nicole. She does a perfect job in just 2 hours. On the first visit, she was very receptive and even called halfway in between with an update on how he was doing. Second visit was just as good. Also, he used to tremble before getting groomed but hasn't since coming here! A little bit pricier than our prior groomer but worth it and supporting a local business. read more

Such a positive experience! Millie is a 9 month old sheepadoodle who (because of quarantine) was never able to begin grooming at an earlier age so she can now be quite the diva. This was her first grooming experience and she was pretty nervous at first, however the tram took time to greet us, meet Millie, make her feel welcomed before taking her back. I returned to pick up one very happy and pretty pup! The store was clean, modern, and close to green lake which made a fun post grooming walk. Brought a new foster dog to Floof in Magnolia for a grooming. He is a malamute shepherd cross, 130 lbs, and has been severely neglected. He was full of matts and dreadlocks. His nails were overgrown. And the smell, oh the smell. Whatever you are imagining, it was worse. The staff was kind, supportive, and nonjudgmental. They spent many hours patiently dematting, brushing, cleaning, trimming, and loving on him. They even stayed late and gave me tips on tools to keep his sizable mane and long coat glowing. I can't express how grateful I am for the assistance with what I am sure was more than they bargained for. Thank you for helping me give this deserving dog a fresh start. read more

I had to change my review from a 5 star to a 4 due to the waiting area having a ton of dog hair on the floor. I was discussed because I brought my chihuahua to her her nails cut but I also brought my 3lbs toy Yorki with me. She had dog hair on her fur and leash. I probably should have asked them to give her a bath I ended up giving her one. Also the girl at the register didn't wash her hands when she took my chihuahua back and put her hand toward my dogs face which she licked My first visit was with my toy Yorki and she looked amazing when I picked her up! Her fur was soooo soft. It is a bit more expensive than Petco, PetSmart but with the shelter in place and covid my baby needed grooming bad. Once my Yorki took her pony tail off of course that area was longer than the rest but she hates pony tails so I'll have to trim that area since it was too long and falls down to her cheek area I have mixed emotions about coming back esp with covid. I may just wait until the virus passes to come back. Health is important to me even with my animals read more

First time there and the WORST haircut that my dog has ever gotten. Uneven and TOTALLY not what I had requested (I even brought photos of the way that I usually have him groomed). This could not have been done by someone professionally trained. I was quoted one price (110.00) when I made the appointment and 40.00 more (150.00) when I picked him up. They had no explanation. Since the guy that gave me the quote was not there they could not check on the quote. They wanted to negotiate the price at pickup. I guess that they do not write down their quotes given. My dog went from being groomed with a "show" cut for years to a "field" cut when I picked him up. He had arrived completely combed out with an undercoat rake prior to arriving. No excuses. read more
