Took my big fur baby here for a groom. With the breed of dog she is, I was concerned that she may not take well to the groom because she isn't keen to other dogs. I was so happy to see that each grooming station is it's own room. No other dogs or several people in the area, so my baby appeared to be much more at ease. When I arrived her coat was fantastic! Undercoat was brushed out and she was soooo fluffy! Her nails looked great, ears were clean and she smells so amazing- I've been cuddling up next to her all day since we have been home!! Today was my first appointment at B+B. My dogs have only been groomed by one person in the last 5 years, so having to find a new groomer was very stressful. This being during the coronavirus pandemic only made my stress and anxiety worse! B+B is doing curbside drop off and pick up during this time. The Manager and groomer (Lux) came out to meet us and discuss what I wanted for their grooming. Lux did a lovely job and I am so pleased! My little guy looks handsome and my little girl, just adorable. I was very nervous because it was a new place for them and they are not keen on grooming their legs and paws. Really happy that Lux was able to work with them and they clearly trusted her enough to let her fully groom them. We will definitely be back! Bark and boarding is hands down the best doggy day care I've had the pleasure of taking my pup too. STAFF: The staff were extremely patient even though I kept asking them questions they had already answered. They took the time to help me navigate their plethora of options and find the right one that met my financial and day care needs. I ended up choosing the top dog unlimited membership as it was the cheapest overall for what I needed and afforded me the flexibility to board when I have last minute work trips. FACILITY: Although I have not actually been in the back, they often have live feeds and post multiple photos of the pups through out the day. The facility looks very nice and promotes engagement with other pups or allows them to just relax and hang out. There is always a staff member back there interacting and monitoring the pups to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Lastly, this is one of the only places I could find that has an actual outdoor area for the dogs. Add-ons: B&B offers a ton of options for grooming or training that is reasonably priced. I've only used the bath option which is included in the membership (1 wash a month) and Athena comes out squeaky clean. You'll definitely have to check them out. NEGATIVES: I only have one which is the wait time for an evaluation can be a bit long. Honestly though this is kind of a good thing because it means they're taking the time to really ensure that your pup will be comfortable and it also ensures the dogs already there are getting a friendly and not aggressive playmate. Overall: Athena leaves everyday satisfied and completely wiped (she's a 2yo GSD so this hard to do)! I highly recommend this business to any one who has to travel or has long work hours. Your pup is sure to enjoy any amount of time they spend there and you can have peace of mind knowing they're having a blast. Located in a corner of Seminary Rd in Bailey's Crossing. Can be missed if you do not read the signs.. This seems like a great location for pet grooming - interiors are clean, doesn't smell (of pets or the strong deodorizing odor after a pet has been groomed) and is plenty large to sit down. They have a lot of products for your pet, which you can purchase in case you are lazy to go to the pet store. We scheduled an appointment for our shih-tzu and we had a decent experience. A member of the team consulted with us for 15 minutes (since we were new). He asked us how we wanted our dog groomed (usually we just get the puppy hair-cut) and gave us options of hair styles, and shampoos, which we found great: personalized service ++. He also acquainted himself with our dog, specially because our dog has some anxiety in a new surrounding. He mentioned that he would rather do it early on then just putting a muzzle or strapping the dog while grooming: care and concern for our dog ++. Our dog had some matting and hence we had to go short on the cut, which is where we had some problems. We found some abrasions (from the clipper) on his neck and ear, and while I understand the short hair-cut was necessary, I was a little put back by this: injury free --. But overall, we received our dog back in one piece :), with a nice little scarf on, he was not traumatized (like he has been at a few other groomers), and enough detail was put into the cut (his backside, nails etc.): attention to detail ++. I will be returning here again with a cautious approach to give them another try, as we will not be needing another short hair cut (atleast for the time being). Price IMO is decent - we paid $65 + $10 (which included shower, cut, nail clipping, glands, ears, teeth brushing), but it depends on the size of the dog. I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars, but am currently giving it 3 stars (actually 3.5 stars) because of the abrasions on our dog during the cut. I stopped by looking for a new place to take my dog as my previous day care closed. The front desk staff (two ladies) were seemingly uninterested in helping me. I asked to see the space where the dogs are kept and was told that wasn't permitted due to Covid. I was told to go to their website to view a video for more information. I had already viewed the video, but found it to be more promotional and less informative. I asked for the square footage of the space where the dogs are kept. No one knew. I asked if they have a live video of the dogs for owners to see them during the day and was told that's it's only available to view for 45 minutes each day, which sounded very staged. It sounded more like a dog prison due to what seemed like an intentional effort to not let you see anything. I decided to look into other options for my dog. read more

Bark and Boarding is our go to daycare place for our mix breed dog. He loves it there, and jumps out of the car to go in. They really take care of him, and he always smells the same coming out as he does going in - which is important and means they keep good cleanliness standards for the shop. Pre pandemic we always used the refresh station just to make sure he didn't smell like other dogs when we brought him home. The place is great - and takes care of our puppy. My dog goes to doggy daycare here and overall I really like it. The staff is really friendly and they asked very specific, important questions during the evaluation. Most importantly, my dog is excited to go here and comes home exhausted and happy. I am docking one star, however, and it's because my dog smells like pee when I bring her home. Not just a little like pee, like a LOT. Not sure if they're cleaning up the pee frequently enough in the playroom? It's worse than the other doggy daycares she has been to in the past. They have a "freshen up" station in the lobby with wipes and spray, but it's really not enough to get the smell out. The stench requires a full bath and, unfortunately, their grooming books up days in advance, so if I need to drop her off for daycare last minute, I can't get her bathed before she leaves. read more

My wife brought our Yorkie to get groomed here and mentioned that if there are tough spots with matted hair they can shave them out. They proceeded to shave him completely and got way too close in multiple areas leaving him with OPEN CUTS and lacerations. (Posting pictures to show). STAY AWAY! He has been miserable ever since the visit and is in pain when walking. If I could take legal action, I would. DO NOT USE THIS GROOMER! Edit (10 days since): he has developed new scabs and rough spots over the week that weren't visible before but clearly are cuts as a result of this grooming. Piper loves it here! I have tried out All of the daycares in Shirlington and I was unimpressed. Luckily I stumbled upon this one, and I couldn't be happier. Piper comes home exhausted every time! She is always so so so excited to get back in and play she practically drags me out of the car. I also love the membership options which I will be signing up for once piper recovers from surgery! My dog stayed here for a 5-night boarding package on 2 separate occassions. He absolutely LOVED it both times, and doesn't even look back to say "bye" when I drop him off *sniffle*... The personnel here are wonderful and really care about creating a safe but fun doggie environment. It's really just a nice big room full of other dogs, so I don't get it, but my dog sure does! Then again, I'm just a silly human who doesn't understand the pleasures of sniffing butts, rolling around, and licking things. ;-) Anyway, this is the only place I'll go from now on whenever I need short or long term boarding. When I picked up my dog this last time, I got a happy surprise when he was neatly bathed, groomed and clipped (I just paid for an exit bath). I have not taken my puppy here, but I did tour the location and scheduled an evaluation. During the tour I discovered there is a room full of 75 dogs per day. I figured it would be a busy center but didn't imagine 75 dogs of various sizes/ages grouped together. They use the bathroom inside which I think would maybe be okay if there weren't 75 dogs in one space. Needless to say, it just wasn't a good fit for our 4 month old puppy...which fine, this is why you check places out in advance. Honestly, what bothered me the most though is that they refused to refund the $25 fee for evaluation although we cancelled it over a week prior. Just confirmed to me that this isn't the right place for us, clearly care more about money than customer satisfaction. read more

My first visit was today and I must say I was HIGHLY disappointed. I recently relocated to Alexandria and needed to get my 2-year-old, 28lbs, cocker spaniel-mix groomed. A friend initially told me that this was a great place and the Yelp! Reviews reflected this as well so I felt comfortable making an appointment. The appointment process was over the phone and very easy. I was told if I wanted to have her evaluated for Doggy Day Care I could and it happens every hour on Saturday. I scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, the front office staff was friendly and attentive. I proceeded to process all my paperwork while my dog went back for evaluation. It was downhill from there.... An employee comes out to the front with my dog and she looks terrified. I was told, with an attitude, that my dog was snapping at all the dogs and was not fit for their environment. I was in total shock! I was then asked if I take her to Dog Parks to which I said no. I was told, "Well she needs to because she needs be socialized." First and foremost, statistics will show how dangerous dog parks may be. I've heard stories of dogs getting sick, dogs getting bit, and advised by my vet that dog parks account for a high number of vet visits due to the irresponsibility of pet owners to get canine vaccines and routine exams. So you can imagine, how upset I would be at this "non-solicited advice." I informed the staff that my dog has been to Doggy Day Care before and could call the vet at that moment and confirm she has never had any issues. The previous vet separated the dogs based on weight and she fits right in. It has to be a process. As this conversation continues, other dog owners come in with their dogs and my dog is sniffing and interacting just fine. I show them this interaction. When that occurs, I am FINALLY told, "We don't separate our dogs. We put her in with about 40 big dogs." Well what in the you-know-what would you think happen if you walked into a room full of giants and left alone?! She was scared! Since I needed to have my dog groomed, I allowed her to stay for her grooming appointment. They said she would attempt to socialize her with other smaller dogs to see how she reacts. I stated if she is stressed to crate her. I call after 30 minutes and low and behold, she is fine socializing with dogs her size. I pick her up from her appointment and she is stressed. I will not return. I would NOT recommend this place if you have a small dog and would like them to socialize with other smaller dogs first before being thrown in a high-energy pack. My dog has NEVER had a bad experience with her previous doggy daycare/grooming facility until today. Never again.... read more

They have always done a great job grooming her and we love that she gets to go in to daycare for free the day of her groom to get some energy and nerves out. Monday, February 17, 2020 12:41 PM Would not recommend this boarding place due to poor customer service and lack of responsibility. I just paid over $300 for 3 nights of boarding for presidents day weekend--there is an extra holiday surcharge for all federal holidays. Not only is this expensive (they do overnight kennels, not private suites), but it is just not worth it. The staff actually recommended to me to come in within the first hour on Monday (not a holiday for me) to avoid getting charged a day care fee for Monday. I confirmed multiple times with the staff that I would pick up at 7am, and also wrote it down on the check-in forms. I showed up on Monday at 7 am and they were closed. The upsetting part was there was actually caretaker standing inside the door who just pointed to a sign with president's day hours (10a-5p). They did not help. They did not call. They completely ignored me. There was no way to even speak to anyone-I just had to call and leave a message and leave the premises. What a huge inconvenience and very expensive for what you get. I had to modify my work schedule just so I could pick up my dog before they close again. Complete lack of communication and they need to train their staff better. They don't forget to add the holiday surcharge, but they conveniently don't tell you about the modified hours. In my case, they actually suggested to me that I come in at 7am. The whole advantage of boarding vs Rover for me is because of the convenience in drop off/pick up times. I asked why I, as a customer, should return and the only thing they did to remedy the situation was to say sorry and that people make mistakes. Also my pet is now coughing a lot, so I will likely need to take him to the vet to see what infection he picked up. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. read more

We have been looking for a small, locally owned business for grooming instead of going to the "pet mega-store" that every one knows. While it's easy to book online at said "mega-store," I've never really felt that my pet was well-cared for, rather it felt like he was a # on a conveyor belt. Our experience today at Bark + Board was just the opposite. The front desk staff and Andi, the groomer were excited to meet our boy, Bear. They asked questions about his health history and behavior. He's a bit dog reactive, so they moved another pup out of the room before bringing our boy into the grooming room. When we picked up Bear, he was a happy pup. He coat was shiny and softer than it's ever been at "mega-store," despite always paying extra for their special "skins solutions" package. Bark + Board may be a bit pricier than "mega-store," but it's definitely worth it. read more

Our family has had several great experiences with this groomers (over 4). We have been taking our pet here ever since he was 2 months and now our poodle is 7 months. Atmosphere: They are very patient with our hyper poodle and have never clipped or cut our pet! They always leave him evenly groomed and the atmosphere at the shop makes us feel at ease that our pet is well taken care of. Price: The price is not cheap but we are so satisfied with the place that we travel from Mclean, Virginia just to drop our pooch off for maintenance. read more

The place is clean and my dog seems to have been ok with his stay there on several occasions but that's about it for the pros. There's plenty of cons, though, mainly their billing practices and their customer service. As an example (there are plenty more, but for brevity I'll share just one here), a couple of years ago I had my dog boarded while I was out of state for Thanksgiving. While away I received a text late on Friday from the airline that my flight home was going to be delayed by a couple of hours. My new scheduled landing (on Sunday) would have still put me back in Virginia with enough time to pick up my dog before the facility closed, but I would have been cutting it close. So just in case, I called the facility first thing Saturday morning and ordered the drop-off taxi service for my pet. The person dropping him off broke my dog's leash. She did email me to let me know what had happened, but offered no form of reimbursement. A couple of days later, I notice I was being charged an additional fee above and beyond the taxi service which they deemed a late service order fee. I emailed them about this, and their reply was to review their policy document. The policy did indeed say that ordering the service a day before would incur the additional fee. Well, I guess a "day" is not defined by 24 hours, because I actually called 34 hours before the service was needed. Additionally, had they verbally informed me on the phone about the additional charge above and beyond the taxi service, I would have just made the gamble that I could get from Dulles to Bark + Boarding in an hour's time (plane lands at 4, they close at 5), which is doable. I guess they expect you to memorize their policy documents which is why the person on the phone didn't tell me about the charge when I called them first thing Saturday morning. I also just felt the response to my email inquiry about the extra charge was "cold." Sorta like, "got an issue? Well then read the documents. The end." Ok, so break my $55 leash and then also tack on $25 for me providing them with additional business (for the taxi service) which I didn't even really need. I was just "playing it safe." There's plenty of other stories I have about either a lack of clear communication from the staff and their billing practices, or where it just seems this company is always trying to find a way to nickel and dime you. There are other boarding options in NoVa where the service is much better. read more

It's been a month and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about B+B! Let me say that I never thought I'd be a person that would be using a doggy daycare, but my 10 month old American Bully Khaleesi has really bad separation anxiety. She has to be crated while no one is home and I felt so bad seeing her locked up everyday. One time we left her home alone, uncrated just for 10 minutes. She was crying as soon as we left. When we came back she ran to her crate because she had jumped up onto the coffee table and tore up everything that was on it. She would've never done that if we were there. She really hates being alone the crate helps her feel safer, but she sometimes would cry in there too, even with mid day walks. It was breaking my heart. After trying everything with little to no avail and realizing daycare every/other day at B+B was actually cheaper than a 30 min Wag walk everyday, I decided to give it a try. B+B inside is super cute its all wooden it reminds me of a sauna ^_^ And there's always a couple of super sweet Chihuahuas manning the desk. Everyone was very friendly and informative making the registration/evaluation a breeze. Before I found B+B I almost went with another more popular doggy daycare that was recommended to me by Khaleesi's old vet. I didn't get a very good first impression their lobby was hot and humid with a bunch of people & dogs waiting, but since the vet recommended it, I figured I'd give it a shot. After waiting over 20 mins on evaluation day with my dog panting on the floor, I found out they had lost her forms and never called vet to verify medical records. It was a Saturday the vet was closed already so they told me they would call them on Monday and call me to schedule another eval. They never called me. It was kind of a bummer and discouraged me a little about doggy daycares. I was already having trouble finding one that was affordable for me and that didn't have a waitlist going. That other place also only did evals on weekends B+B does them Mon-Sat during specific hours. I was lucky to find them on Yelp and book an eval with them that same week. You can fill out the forms on their website when you make an online appointment, no risk of any papers getting lost :) They have a perfect 10 full daycare membership option which is perfect for us because like I was hoping, she is too tired to even be anxious the next day. We don't even need a mid day walker anymore at all because she just sleeps in her crate all day :) They also have some nice perks/discounts that come along with the memberships. They don't have a camera but their Facebook page goes live every mid day and they post pictures twice a day. I love seeing Khaleesi playing and socializing, not being cooped up in her crate all day/everyday. They have beds and cots all around too if the dogs want to rest. It's so cute seeing them cuddled up together. All the dogs seem to really love the daycare staff. They also get some outside time to run around. Check in/out is super fast they take her right back in the morning & I have never waited more than 2-3 mins for them to bring her at check out. I pick her up between 5:30-6pm I was expecting a full lobby and parking lot but to my surprise there has always been parking available and never more than 2 or 3 other people checking out. And they have a lot of dogs at B+B. I initially wasn't very excited about making an extra stop on the way to/from home but it's been pretty smooth sailing. They also have a little station with deodorizing sprays/wipes/brushes free of charge which I definitely take advantage of because Khaleesi can get pretty smelly. Another thing that is nice is that they have a partnership Fairfax Animal hospital, another wonderful establishment, which is literally right next door. I went ahead and switched Khaleesi's vet just for that extra convenience the Bark + Boarding has honestly been a God send Khaleesi is doing so much better now, Thanks so much for all you guys do! read more

Unlike the reviews below, my dog had a terrible experience. For starters, when I dropped off my dog, I was not told of possible packages to make boarding cheaper. I found out days later via email. Upon picking up my dog, she was full of scratches, dirty, and smelled terrible. She came home with a terrible stain on her eye. I recently found out from her Vet she had an ulcer (cornea scratch) which I know happened at this place. I also emailed the owner with my concern and I didn't even get a reply back. I should've got my money back!! When I asked the employees about the scratches and smell, the only answer I got was that she plays "rough." I payed somewhere around $450 so that they could keep an eye on my dog and that nothing happened to her. Yet she came home smelling awful and scarred! I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much better places in Arlington where you can board/day care your dog. read more

Love these people. Outstanding service. Reasonable prices. Had a sitter for my pets, and the communication was outstanding. Someone came over for an initial visit, and if you show them documentation that your animals were rescued, then they'll give you the initial visit and your first day free, which is really nice of them. The person who actually came over wrote detailed notes each day, and had a sweet message for when I was back. Really can't go wrong, and would highly recommend them. I have been using dpncc's services since last summer when I wanted to foster a dog and did so with Homeward Trails- the wonderful rescue network that dpncc partners with. I ended up adopting the dog and they provided me with the initial medical care and support I would have had to get from the vet. Specifically their volunteers- who are the backbone of dpncc- have the experience and dedication to walk a first time puppy owner through every worry you could imagine. When I found out that the same people who had helped me find, and get my puppy through our first months together had a completely reasonable fee for doggy day care, and they are open at 6:30 AM (perfect for teachers like me) I was thrilled. Dpncc has the most animal loving, cheerful, hardworking, bright employees and owners and they have never let me down. The folks in the front are professional, love my dog, and always cheerful and happy to see me and my dog. The group watching my dog in the back are true animal lovers and I know my dog adores them because when I see them when dropping Finn off he runs to them and is as excited to see them as he is to see me. My dog is always so excited to be dropped off and he is tuckered out from playing with his friends at the end of the day and happy. Other specific things I find special: Dpncc also has a wonderful selection of great toys, and healthy food- I buy everything from them so it's really convenient. They post pictures on Facebook of the dogs so I can see what my dog was up to all day. I can put my food or toy purchases on my monthly bill which is always accurate, on time, and handled electronically. Bottom line: If you are obsessed with your dog and want the best care possible go check it out and ask for a full tour of the place- the owner will be happy to take you around and you will start to understand how committed and animal loving everyone who works there is. And there is free coffee- keurig coffee individual cups to get your morning started off right. I love this place and so does my dog. read more

The staff was incredibly friendly and we were able to call Saturday and make an appointment early Sunday morning! Pros: - Kelly and the receptionist were very friendly! - Grooming was completed in just 1.5 hours Cons: - This place was definitely the priciest place we found. $70 for grooming which should include the works - bath, haircut, ears, nail clipping, glands etc...but they were unable to clean his ears (he was too squeamy) and they ended up having to shave him because he had so many knots. (our bad for not brushing him daily like we should) -We left $80 total (with tip) but it would have been nice to have been given a discount since they were unable to clean his ears. - His shave job was a bit uneven so we had to make some tweaks when we got home - Located in kind of a ghetto area...hard to find - The groomer had already left when we came to pick up our dog so we didn't get a chance to talk to ask her any questions read more

I love this place, as a foster for homeward trails I know that this place is a really good excellent quality service business. They may be a small business but its fantastic with the dogs & cats under their care. All the dogs there have fun and come home tired from playing all day long. The staff there is also amazing. They are very nice and respectful, not only that but they remember the dog and its owner. When ever I go to pick up my foster dog, they know exactly who I'm getting without me telling them. The prices are more than reasonable for the service and treatment the little pups get. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone in the area that's looking for doggie day care, even overnight. I never fear leaving my pup at DPACC. You can't beat the price when it comes to grooming; this is the only place I go for my dog to get a bath. The employees are amazing and tell me all about my dog's day. They even sent me pictures! The prices for daycare are reasonable. My only wish is that they add a camera to the rooms so I can check in on my dog throughout the day (an amenity featured at our other day care.) I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! Update 8/21: DPCC, now Bark + Boarding, continues to go above and beyond. My pup loves coming here and they have been life-savers when I've had emergencies and need to board my dog with only a few hours notice. It use these folks for cat sitting when I'm away. They'll come to your house and cat-sit, but they do not offer cat boarding at their location. I've never had a problem with any of their cat sitters and my cats have always been happy and healthy upon my return. The sitter will leave a very detailed note outlining when they visited and what they did. I've had to schedule cat sitting at the last minute and they've always been able to accommodate me. Their prices are reasonable, but they do charge extra to administer medication and for holiday visits. If you just need one visit a day, it's a good deal, but if you need multiple visits per day and/or medication administered, it can get pretty pricey. Otherwise they're wonderful. The staff is always friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. read more

Jett is a 7 mo powder puff Chinese Crested due to get his first grooming ever. I was a little nervous because he's kinda "wimpy" says his vet, trainer. . . and the groomer here. The only difference was that the groomer said that being wimpy (my word, not his) is common for Chinese Cresteds. I was "jaw dropped" impressed. In one sentence, he reassured me that he knew dogs, breeds and what he was talking about and made me feel better that Jett's lack of confidence is not any fault in my upbringing. I left Jett in his hands and received a cute, adorable, unrecognizable puppy who is cut just the way I wanted three hours later. The prices are reasonable, in fact cheaper than the other two places I asked for price quotes. Now I would be lying if I said Jett came back to me perfect, he had a few knicks here and there. Not unexpected because I'm sure he was squirming quite a bit at first. In fact I know he was squirming and wiggling quite a bit at first, the groomer called and gave me a quick progress report. An unsolicited progress report. My jaw never quite closed the whole day, I'm quite impressed. I don't think I would trust my little guy with anybody else. Bark + Boarding is like a second home for my dogs. They are SO happy to arrive in the morning and they come home very tired. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love that you don't have to make a reservation and can do half- or full- days. Sometimes my dogs board for a night or two and always seem very happy. They even have a pet taxi that will bring your dog home after boarding if you have a late flight. Highly recommend! read more

I could not be happier with a doggy daycare. I was in a pinch, needing to find last-minute doggy daycare for my dog, Jakers, while I flew to my grandmother's funeral last summer. I was new to the area, and had to start from scratch and was not willing to leave my dog someplace that would crate him at night (I don't believe in crating and my dog is terrified of crates). DPNCC gives you the option of crating or cage-free boarding. I called and left a very early morning voicemail. The owner called me back very promptly - having checked voicemail well before they were actually open. He emailed me the paperwork and agreed to meet me right when they opened, assuring me that they would make it work, so I could get to the funeral (I had forewarned him that Jakers did not always do so well with other dogs). I show up (in tears - stressed about my grandmother's passing AND having to leave my dog someplace unfamiliar). The staff was wonderful, taking time to slowly introduce Jakers to one dog at a time - ala Dog Whisperer - to make sure personalities meshed well. :) I have been a regular customer for a year now, dropping Jakers off any time I have a weekend trip out of town. I have no qualms about leaving him in great hands. Some other pluses - this company was originally founded as a dog walking company, so they are big believers in giving dogs regular walks. They post photos daily in a Facebook album, so you can check in on your pooch. And every member of the staff is so kind and helpful. Wonderful people to work with. read more

I brought my super nervous, very anxious (but dog friendly) Pointer to DPNCC for doggie daycare back in January 2013 for the 6 months that we were planning to be in the DC area. We didn't think just one walk a day would be sufficient for him, especially since we're in a temp 1 bedroom apartment-- so we decided to take him to the DPNCC in Bailey's Crossroads. From day 1, I was super impressed with the staff at DPNCC. The staff was extremely professional and willing to work with his shy and nervous personality. There was always someone at the front of the shop to greet him with friendly excitement and take him back into "the zone" to play. Over time, he became more and more comfortable with the staff and now he even started howling/screaming when we get close because he's so excited to play all day. He always comes home tired and happy. The rates seem on par with other doggie daycare places in the area. And for peace of mind, care and attention-- its well worth it. They also have a groomer which we used just for bathing in the winter time and the rates also seemed about normal for the area. The only problem we had was during winter when our dog came home a few times with some respiratory and bacterial issues. Maybe its just normal daycare germ issues I'm not sure, but after March everything seemed to calm down and he hasn't been sick since. I would recommend DPNCC to anybody looking for all day pet care or some extra stimulation for their pets. read more

We love Bark & Boarding for both daycare and grooming. Our very energetic mini golden doodle puppy comes back very well exercised and happy from her daycare days. She behaves much better after daycare because she's gotten all of her energy out. We've also taken her here for grooming and they do a great job, are very patient with her and take the time to do a great cut. Their prices are good for the service you get. read more

This place is wonderful. The staff is always very friendly - after my second visit to drop my dog off at daycare they knew who I was and who my dog was without even asking. Their prices aren't bad (actually among the cheapest of daycares I have found) at $33/day (cheaper if you buy a package deal). On slow days, I have also found that they will run specials for day care. I also appreciate the fact that the day care portion of the facility is open from 0630-1930 (7:30pm) at night which means I can take my time picking my dog up. The staff is excellent with the dogs and pretty experienced, as DPNCC will partner with Homeward Trails Rescue and house some of their dogs there. I actually adopted a HT dog who stayed at DPNCC for 2 weeks before I could take him and my dog was happy, healthy (and tired) when he finally came home to me. I still bring my dog to DPNCC if I am going to work late and he is always excited when we pull up to the building and exhausted when he leaves. As a nice touch, the staff always take a ton of pictures of the dogs every day and posts that on FB. Its always enjoyable searching through the pics for a glimpse of your dog. DPNCC also has a loyalty app now which gives people rewards like discounts on food, etc. read more

Dog Paws 'n Cat Claws Pet Care have a wonderful staff of people who truly care about the dogs. The only issue I have had, which might just be my dog being a bit emotional, every time he has come home from being borded there he became extreemely ill. I have had to rush him to the emergency vet both times with a stomach bug. Also, the last time he had an eye infection along with the stomach issues. I have borded my dog many times before and never had these issues. For the price that you pay I would expect my dog to be in good health. Again, the staff is wonderful and amazing to work with (their hours work well with people who work outside of the normal 9-5). read more

I took my 3-year old Boxer for the trial and he was in a happy state when I walked him out. I'd never taken him to the doggie day care before. Since he got along fine with the rest of the pack during the trial period (he is of submissive nature), I had no hesitation of leaving him there for a full day. I was happy to learn how the dogs are managed and how they use the pack hierarchy with them. The people working there are loving towards the dogs. read more
