Another Yelp success finding a great company to wash a mineral line from my pool tile. Barefoot showed up on time and exceeded my expectations after my pool draining was interrupted at night by an idiot tying my hose in a knot wasting a full night of pump action. I had about 1.5 feet of water left and a ton of debris from my mesquite tree and yet when Barefoot left, my pool was dry and all of the leaves and sticks were cleaned up. That was not what I paid them to do but it just speaks to the level of customer service this company is known for. The tile came out perfectly as if it were just installed and for an upfront and reasonable price. If you ever bought a pumice stone you are doing it wrong! Have them coming back for a quote on deck resurfacing and I hope to scrape together enough cash to use this company again. read more

I had Barefoot re-surface my plaster diving pool with micopebble. I was surprised at how big of a job it was. Brandon came out to bid the job and see the condition of my pool and gave me some ideas of different options. The estimate was fair and decided to move forward. Barefoot emailed me detailed instructions on what and when to expect would happen. We met Brandon in their Gilbert showroom to pick out colors and tile. He was super professional and helpful. The chip out crew showed up just when they said they would and were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Shawn came out the next day to inspect the condition of the concrete pool shell. He mentioned that my skimmer was cracked and emaied me options to replace it and the pool light. At no point during the remodel did I feel like I was being up-sold, they were very transparent and just gave me the options. After the pool was completed and refilled Jeff made sure the water was 100% good to go and went over pool basics with me. We ended up adding a new pool light, auto-fill, and replaced a cracked skimmer. Resurfacing a pool is not a small job, nor is it inexpensive so it is so important to work with a reliable company that is responsive. It's a great start when they show up as promised. It's amazing how difficult the first step is with some companies. But imagine my surprise when they not only showed up, but they were super respectful of my request to not have phone conversations (my daughter was only about 4 months at the time, so being able to communicate exclusively by text was a life saver). Barefoot not only did a great job on the resurfacing, but they are super honest about what must be done, what SHOULD be done, and what can be skipped. They were also good enough to provide me with some guidance on doing a DIY plumbing replacement, which they probably could have held back the info in hopes of me hiring them to do the job. This is greatly appreciated. In all, I don't expect I'll have a use for Barefoot's service anytime soon (this is a good thing!), but I'll certainly be recommending them to anyone who does. read more

This company is first rate. I spent the months it took to get a full 4 proposals together and Barefoot simply stood out. Sales (Brandon) was awesome and just simply great to work with...no weird call back pressures either while I was deciding. They're definitely not the cheapest, but they're the most confidence inspiring. They were, at the end of the day, right in the middle on pricing. I had old, what they called, bonded beam sides. The stucco was constantly out of the water because no tile line. This led to erosion of the material and a great place for black mold to cling to no matter the water chemistry. just a pain. Barefoot's conversion on this is awesome. Check the photos. The team is great. PM Shawn called me many evenings to review status and scheduling. We were really wanting the pool done my the holiday. It was. Just as predicted by the initial template schedule. Jeff and Zack are great too and really communicative. If I forgot someone, I'm so sorry. Met a lot of folks. The most amazing crew were the chaps laying down my new travertine deck. What skills! NOT do it yourself stuff. They use sand to level and they did a good job of helping me with some drainage issues! Not to be overlooked. The finished deck is nothing short of stunning, frankly. 5* review, and I'm quite thrilled with the final product, but not everything can be perfection. A few rough areas... I wish I would have known that the dust from the travertine would be impossible to get off of my painted stucco home. There's a whole wall I might have to repaint...but the paint Phoenix faded so it wouldn't match. So, I'll just live with it until it's time to do the whole house. But, I could have put up a sheet of plastic and avoided the issue (if specifically warned. I was warned about the dust in general and took some steps with other suggested preventions). I have dogs and twice they brought in deadly items they were chewing on. One was a snap off box cutting blade that was at least 4" long. How my dogs didn't really mess themselves up, I'll never know. But, they're fine. Also, I mentioned that the left over blue tile that was installed would look great on my fireplace and I'd add it later. The extra tile was here for a few days, then someone took it. I don't know ... coulda' been my landscapers I guess, but I think it's like a %99 chance it wasn't. The plastic 'jets' don't fit too well. They stick out and you can see the threads. This may be inevitable as equipment has changed over the last 20 years, I'm sure. Not a biggy. Finally, the plaster isn't quite as smooth as the last job. Some imperfections I might not have expected are visible .. but only at night with pool light illumination. Small quibles are unavoidable. All in all, I wouldn't ever hire another company. Their processes are well honed and boy do they stick to their schedule. read more

So I requested service for my pool filter and someone called me a few days later. The quote was for $150.00. I accepted that price and the scheduled day. Then the person on the phone tells me I need a credit card to charge the service. I said, "No, I don't do that". She responded with, "We can't schedule the service". I obviously said never-mind. I don't know this person from a can of paint. It could've been anyone on that phone. No business name on the caller-id. Who in this day and age gives out a credit card number over the phone to a person from an incoming call? read more

Hello Again I called Chad and told him I thought it was finally time to have my pool resurfaced since it was originally built in 1997. He remembered me from a previous job that they did which also included an estimate for a new pebble finish. I decided to wait on that since it was in pretty good shape. He sent me a new estimate that was almost twice the amount of the original estimate from 04/11/2020. The new estimate was almost exactly the same as the original estimate except the dollar amounts were changed. I could not believe my eyes! Yes, $7,026.25 more than the original estimate and what is really funny, that amount included an $800.00 return customer discount. New $14,664.75- Original $7,638.50= Difference $7,026.25. He did mention on the phone conversation that his original estimate was pre-covid. So, I found a company that came out and gave me an estimate for $8,600 and they did a fantastic job. It is beautiful!!!!!!! And, it comes with a warranty. $14,664.75- $8,600.00 =$6064.75 SAVINGS!!! For those of you that read this, get a few estimates before you pick a pool company to resurface your pool. The work that is done is all basically the same. After spending a year and hundreds of dollars trying to "bandaid" our 26 year old equipment (twist off pump lid = worst nightmare), we worked with Barefoot to replace the entire setup. Jessica's responsiveness to our initial request spoke volumes to the way Barefoot operates - efficient, transparent and incredibly friendly. She helped us customize our setup to fit our budget and needs (we live next to a canal and get hit hard by monsoons, so we added a prefilter which allowed us to downsize the cartridge filter and save some $). A few days later, Juan arrived right on time to work miracles. I have no idea how he did it (especially in 115 degree heat), but four hours later the entire setup (included a busted concrete pad) was replaced and FLAWLESS. He took about 30 minutes to walk us through operating the system to make sure we can make the most out of the new setup. It's been a few weeks and we are still blown away by their professionalism and kindness. As first time (Millennial) homeowners, we like to repair issues ourselves. I don't even know where to start!!! Making the decision to resurface our pool was a big one, its not a cheap task, so we wanted to make sure we went with the right company. We got a few estimates from companies that we were referred to, but upon reading their contracts we just weren't comfortable. I saw a Barefoot Pools truck one morning and decided to look them up on google. Brandon, I believe he is the Manager, called me right back and set up an appointment, had the estimate before close of business that day. My husband called hm to go over the contract and we were comfortable signing right away. The entire process was actually enjoyable! Believe it or not! Went through the process with Brandon, up to picking the tiles (so many to choose from) and the surface material, he said we would be contacted by Shawn next with the schedule to move forward within two weeks and right on time we received the schedule! Shawn answered all my husbands questions and we proceeded forward again! Then Jeff contacted us, he introduced himself and said he would be in contact with us through the entire project and he was! I honestly can not say enough about these guys, all three of them went above and beyond what we expected. We even had to put calls into them after hours a couple times and they answered!!! Not only did hey answer, they went out of their way to help! When I say went out of their way.....I'm talking coming out to my house to turn my pump on after hours (because I couldn't figure it out myself, embarrassing) also fitting me into their already busy schedule, because again, my own inability, to use the pump correctly. From start to finish, Barefoot Pools has been impressive. The construction work was kept as neat as possible, they always cleaned up after themselves and all the crews were very polite anytime we asked questions. The ONLY thing I am bummed about is the fact that I can not hire them to service my pool every week, because I do not live within their service area! I guess we will have to move!!!! I have to say that anytime I embark on a large project I am a bit nervous. When we were 1st purchasing my home the realtor had 2 bids done to resurface the pool but when I researched the companies I was not impressed by the reviewed. I jumped on yelp and after a a bit of research and came across Barefoot Pools. I have to admit that the number of positive remarks on Yelp defiantly helped feel confident to call. Chad came out and spent a solid hour talking to me about the pool, as I am a complete neophyte in this area. Not great at customer service. Had Barefoot come to set up an automation system on our pool (Pentair intel) within 6 months automation not working. Contacted them about possible repair-brushed me off to Pentair warranty. This all happened when they tried to tell me that a salt cell would not fit into my prefabricated piping.
