Jose and his people replaced some of the equipment on my pool. they were amazing. They showed up when they said they would and did what they said they were going to do. I dont know how you can ask for more from a contractor. Since he did the work at my house he has also done a major remodel at my neighbors house. It looks amazing and they absolutely love it. I will recommend them to all of my friends. read more

Excellent service!!! I cannot express enough what superb service Barefoot pools has and their knowledge about pools! I contacted them to install a new energy efficient pool pump. My old pump was about to die and I just happened to receive a flier in the mail from Barefoot Pools. I sent them an email and they were quick to respond and answered all of my questions. They were even kind enough to come out to look at what my current set up was and see how they could help. Chad went out of his way to explain everything to me and my husband, and within a few days, they installed my new pump. I could not be any happier and neither could my husband. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received as well as the installation of our new pump. It is obvious they take pride in their work. I highly recommend them! read more

Great customer service. Quick to respond for maintenance service. Would recommend to all my friends! It's not to support local businesses!

My pool quit on me and quickly came to the rescue. They were quick and professional. They kept me informed me of their progress each step of the way. They suggested how to keep my equipment running better, longer. Highly recommend this shop read more

These guys are solid. I have had an on going pool/spa issue for years. Nobody came up with a viable solution. Barefoot was extremely communicative. They came in, diagnosed the issue and completely re-worked the pool systems not only to fix the problem for the long run but also made it much easier to access the problem areas just I'm case there are issues down the road. And I think their rates are very reasonable. Do not hesitate! read more

My 19 year old pool needed some work. The heater no longer functioned, switches on the patio wall were broken, an electrical line had pulled lose, and some equipment needed to be upgraded, painted and labeled. Brandon was fantastic with his great communication skills and customer service approach. We walked through all the issues, discussed options for replacing/repairing old equipment, and he worked to help keep me close to my budget. Constant communication was great and I always knew where we stood. Jose came out to do the work, and had to come out a 2nd time due to a complication with the old equipment (which we had discussed could be a possibility). They demonstrated how to run the new equipment and ensured that I understood. These guys were great, I've been pleased with the work and responsiveness, and would highly recommend Barefoot Pools. read more

Our 24 year old pool needed to be remodeled. We hired Barefoot Pools to do the job! From the beginning, we had nothing but good things to say about this company. Chad helped us get started, choosing surfaces, tiles, and decking. He was patient and thorough and helped us through the entire process. Once the remodel was underway, Shawn Yokem, the project manager or Jose, Barefoot Pool Owner, was there at the end of most days checking the work of the various crews. And the crews?? They were excellent. They worked hard, were professional, courteous, and at the end of EACH day, cleaned up. We were so impressed with the entire process. We were given a timeline of approximately 3 weeks and would have been done ahead of schedule had we not had 3 days of rain!! Never once did we regret our decision to go with Barefoot Pools to remodel our pool! Thank you Jose, Shawn, Chad, and all the crews who made our pool beautiful!! read more

We have been customers for quite a while. Today, Phoenix had a MAJOR storm and our pool was flooded and dirty from the run off around the yard. I sent Jose a text message to ask him a question about what I should do. He responded immediately and said someone would come out tomorrow. But sure enough, Chad was around the corner and stopped by to check on it today. They clearly communicate efficiently within their staff and I'm always so impressed with their friendly service. All around, Barefoot Pools is a top quality company with top customer service and a bunch of hard working, dedicated staff. read more

Barefoot pools did a Fantastic job from start to finish on my pump replacement (Old pump upgraded to a variable). I couldn't be happier with the finished product and the work done by Katt on the installation. Brandon was great to work with and provided a quick quote and scheduled us in just a few days as our current pump was dead. I plan on having my pool drained and possibly some other improvements and i will be using Barefoot for sure on our next project. Katt ran into an issue with the pipe going to the filter and Barefoot was great about that issue which had nothing to do with their pump replacement. 10/10 - would pool pump again. read more

From start to finish Barefoot pools was outstanding in the remodeling our pool and decking! They were always in touch with us about our schedule/progress and they always delivered more than we could have expected. Jose, Chad, Juan, and everyone else was awesome. I have used barefoot pools multiple times. Most recently I had a new sand filter, variable speed pump, and salt water system with all new piping. They were able to complete the work within a couple days of the request and were speedy and professional. After all the work was completed Chad was able to walk me through how everything works and get the pump setup to optimize our energy usage. We really appreciate the help and will definitely keep using Barefoot pools. read more

I had their service for 4 months and discontinued today. They are up-sellers. In September they offered to replace my pool motor and pad for around $1400 when only a $100 capacitor was needed. In October when my pool-vac needed parts worth $72 they offered a choice of new pool-vacs running $300-$400 each. When we started, we had agreed that all repairs / replacements would need my prior approval, regardless of cost. Imagine my surprise when I was billed today for a replacement basket with no prior notification. When I complained the manager acknowledged that they were supposed to check with me before doing any additional work, but added that because their standard practice was unilateral repairs/replacements for items under $50, I would be better off with some other service. I agreed and discontinued. read more

Thank you Jose & Chad & Brandon! We just had repairs done on our rock slide and for the very first time it looks amazing! We had no idea rock slides were hollow with only rebar inside. Barefoot Pools repaired the rebar and installed a vent to prevent future problems for the next 10 years! We can only imagine what a tragedy it would have been if the slide collapsed while my kids were on top. Barefoot also did repairs on the pebble tec with a near perfect color match and an excellent acid wash. Overall we couldn't be more pleased, and let me tell you it is close to impossible to please my husband the perfectionist! Thank you BAREFOOT POOLS! read more

I filled out the online form. Received a call within an hour from Nick. Texted me that he would get with Todd and see what his schedule was like. Never heard back. Called again, couple of days later and left a message for Chad. Never heard back. Only reason I called this company was all the fabulous reviews. If you don't want the business or can't handle the volume then call back and say so. read more

BEST PRICING & AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We just purchased a home in Phoenix and the pool & spa was an inoperable catastrophe!! Coming from a climate where home pools are rare, I was concerned about finding the right company to revamp the pool & provide maintenance. Barefoot provided the best pricing for my needs but what I was really looking for was integrity, reliability and a company that still knows what customer service is all about. Barefoot won hands down! Chad managed our project and impressed us from the very start with his knowledge, honesty and concern for our needs & wishes. He got us on the schedule quickly as we were only in town for a short time. Every day they were prompt, courteous and genuinely cared about what they were doing. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this company. I got a letter from Barefoot today welcoming us to the "Barefoot Family". I read it and thought to myself, I feel like these folks are my first new friends in my new home state. They're good, honest, hard working people and that's the kind of company I want to do business with. read more

Great service and follow up. Chad and his team were great to work with and went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

It says service and repairs, but when I called them a lady told me they don't do repairs only remodels.

Unfortunately, my experience has not been as stellar as some others. Barefoot Pools had been servicing my pool for over a year and had generally done an OK job. A couple of times the technician forgot to reset the spa drain and ran the prime out of the system but for the most part I was satisfied with the job they were doing. However, on a recent morning I asked the technician to see if they could determine what was wrong with the air pump for the spa since it had been recently stopping after 15 minutes of use. The technician agreed and I went off to work. When I came home late that night I heard a noise outside and found to my horror that the spa pump and heater had been left on all day with the water at 103 degrees and had run all of the propane out of the tank. There are two 4-foot tall propane tanks that feed the spa and an almost full one had been completely emptied. I called the company the next day to complain. A representative came out to look at the spa and called me back later saying that the technician insisted they had turned the blower and everything off when they left. The representative seemed inclined to believe the technician's side of the story. When I pressed the case the person insinuated they felt it was properly shut down since the technician said so and if it had been somehow running then I didn't have proper "fail safes" in place to prevent that from happening. I have lived here for 19 years and this is the only time this has happened so I felt I was being given the runaround. I asked if they could reimburse me for the propane that had been used up but they declined to do so. I asked them not to return. read more

Juan, the technician, came out to give me a quote and later did the repair, replacing a broken water line near the pod under the cool deck. He explained different scenarios that might make the work more difficult and could cost more. He managed to repair the line, leaving the pod alone, saving higher expenses. The work area was cleaned up before he left. Well done. read more

If you need pool repair or remodeling this is the company you want to use. Every team member that worked on our remodel was professional and performed high quality work. From start to finish every deadline was met. The organization of the different teams was perfect. We could not be more satisfied. Quality work at a fair and reasonable cost. read more

I highly recommend Barefoot for a remodel. Jose Garcia the owner goes above and beyond to make sure that you are happy with the results. Him and his crew are polite and knowledgeable. read more

I would like to thank Jose Garcia and everyone at Barefoot Pools for taking such good care of me for over a year now, after they did my pool remodel. Everyone I worked with was professional, timely and efficient. Jose is wonderful about keeping in touch and communicating even when out of town. But I am writing about my service with them. My pool tech, Branden, is very meticulous and takes great pride in his work. Because of a physical disability I've not been able to swim in my pool for the last couple of years. It's been disappointing to look at it but not to be able to use it. Branden, on his own time, came up with a solution that will help me at least use a float. He and his beautiful girlfriend, Ashley, spent part of their Saturday donating, delivering and setting up an aid that will help me enjoy the pool once I recuperate a bit more. It's obvious they enjoy going above and beyond to help others. Branden stated he especially delights in doing extra for customers because Jose is a great boss who treats his employees very well. Nothing like loyalty and team spirit in today's society. I highly recommend Barefoot Pools. I appreciate their kindness. Annie Ellis read more

We knew we had a leak somewhere in our pool but couldn't find it. The Barefoot Pools tech came out, ran a bunch of tests and located our issue. They instructed us on how to stop the leak and even charged less than the original quote since it took less time than expected. We will definitely call them again if we have any more issues with our pool or when we are ready to remodel. Their honesty and professionalism earned our trust and any future business. read more

I have rediscovered the lost art of great customer service with Barefoot Pools! We moved to Ahwatukee Foothills in July and met Alex, one of Barefoot's pool service technicians, the week we moved in, and he not only warmly welcomed us to the neighborhood, but displayed a level of competency, friendliness and work ethic that exceeded our expectations, and has continued at that level every week since. He patiently listens to any concerns I may have as if I'm his only assignment that day and addresses each and every one. I'm so appreciative that Alex has taken the time to teach me some of the finer aspects of the pool equipment operations and, on the rare occasion when I emailed his boss, Brandon, about questions I may have that are not Alex's responsibility, I have found Brandon to be very responsive with timeliness and solutions! Bravo to a great company! Thank you Alex and Brandon! read more

Barefoot Pools Service and Repairs is the best company! They schedule service quickly and show up! Trey was fantastic, showed up as expected on a Friday afternoon, he worked through the rain and hail until the job was completed! He called and updated me with the progress and let me know what the issues were and complimented us on our maintenance of our filter! He took great pictures which were sent to me with my invoice so I could see the damage and the repairs! Love them! Highly recommend them for professionalism and price!!! read more

Have been with Barefoot over 10 years now (this is my second Yelp review!). Began with service, then progressed to a pool resurface and then variable speed pump install. As a "do-it-myselfer", Barefoot has always given me professional advice and direction when needed, and been able to quickly and reasonably fix anything else that I could not do myself. Trustworthy and reliable are just the 2 of the many words I use when recommending this company to my friends and neighbors. Thanks and keep up the good work! read more

Barefoot pool service did a great job for the acid wash and the tile cleaning (water line). Get a quote within the day and the job was scheduled for the week after. They came the day before to drain the pool and the next day the job was done and the pool looks like new ! They provided all the chemicals for the pool after the pool was filled with fresh water. Thanks Luis and Juan for their nice work. read more

We solicited several estimates from local pool contractors to resurface our 20 year old pool & decking. Chad was excellent in providing us timely information on our inquiries and was great to work with. Once we decided upon Barefoot Pools, Shawn was at the point for the entire project and was outstanding in assuring schedule adherence and communicating with us. Jose, the owner was highly engaged throughout the entire process and was adamant about everything being to perfection! I have worked with hundreds of contractors for over 40 years.....Barefoot is the absolute BEST in terms of scheduling, communications and meeting commitments. First rate customer support and exquisite craftsmanship. Jose and his team replaced our pool deck and connected walkway. Amazing job!

Everyone from the store manager to our installer Donnie were fantastic to work with-very patient folks who took the time to really listen and answer all of our questions. After 18 years, the tile and plaster needed to be removed and upgraded in our pool. We were apprehensive about the process because we knew it was a big project and were concerned about selecting the best company for our job. In March 2017, after multiple quotes and several hours of analysis, we selected Barefoot Pools and are so HAPPY we picked them. Chad was incredibly patient and professional throughout the quotation process, even when I made multiple scenario requests! Shawn was our assigned project manager. He was exceptional! He kept me in the loop via text and quickly addressed any of my concerns. Although the crews spoke little English, that was not a barrier because Shawn was accessible if I had any issues. There were several different crews who worked on various aspects of our demolition/remodel. We were surprised by how clean each crew left our yard when they were finished. There was no debris! The owner,Jose, is the other project manager for remodels. Although not assigned to our project, he even contacted us once and stopped by when there was an issue. Great customer service! Teamwork, responsiveness, customer service oriented, and knowledgeable--all characteristics we wanted, but are traits you really don't know about until you work first hand with someone--were definitely present with Barefoot. They met their commitments and provided a great finished remodel. Our close out punch list was thoroughly addressed and all issues were remedied. Shawn patiently trained us and quickly followed up with questions we had afterwards. They even gave us written steps to follow to ensure we know how to properly maintain our new pebble sheen. I am so thankful we picked Barefoot and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their pool remodel needs. read more

After researching 4 different pool remodeling companies, I selected Barefoot to do my remodel. They did a great job from start to finish. Chad came out for the estimate and spent quite a bit of time with me to determine what I wanted and explain my options. He responded quickly to all of my questions and turned the estimate around quickly. Shawn and his team did a great job on the pool and decking. He kept me updated on all steps and scheduling which I appreciated and worked around some scheduling needs I had. In addition to redoing the surface they installed travertine decking, a new filter, light, salt system and in-floor cleaner. Shawn came to inspect each step as it was completed to make sure the team did a thorough & quality job. He was also available and responsive via text and email to any questions/concerns I had. Their price was inline with the other companies that provided estimates to me. I am extremely pleased with their work. My pool looks great and they even gave me 2 pool towels at the end of the project. read more

I cannot say more good things about this company. We were looking to do a pool remodel and researched companies with the best reviews first. We decided on this company, they were pretty busy so it took awhile to get the quote, but I am so glad we waited for it. Chad set us up with exactly what we wanted in our pool- and was extremely responsive and helpful. Most everyone in this company makes themselves available for text or call at all times, Sundays, nights, etc. When the job started they walked us though exactly what was going to happen each day. Jose was amazing with the construction process and everything else! The workers came exactly when expected and were really quick and pretty clean about their work. Our travertine and pool resurfacing (pebble tech) look better than expected. At the end of everything they make sure everything is to our approval, and we understand all of the chemical workings of the pool. Shawn did an amazing job at that. He came to our house in the evening to help us with our pool chemistry. These people are the best! If you want a pool remodel, use this company. I am not at all disappointed in anything and am glad that there are still honest, amazing companies out there! read more
