This company claims to make your green pool blue on there flyer and website. They came out on Friday my pool is still cloudy as of today. They told me if the pool was not clear they would come back out. Now they said I would be charged another $175 they don't quote that to me on Friday I believe they did poor work so they could charge me again and they said I should put my own chemicals in I am on social security and old they took me for a fool. read more

We had a very old pool that needed a lot of work and Barefoot Pools did an excellent job on it. They removed the old surface, patched the concrete where rebar was starting to rust through, put on a new surface, installed a new pool deck, and put in a new pump and filter. Overall they did a good job, communicated well, and left the construction area clean. My only complaint is that the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser pool cleaner they provide is not ideal. It sends leaves directly to the small basket filter on the pump, which clogs quickly. To fix this I installed a canister leaf trap, which works except that it also traps air bubbles over time and causes the pump to lose suction. read more

Professional from first contact to finish. I asked for quotes from a few pool companies to replace my aging equipment - pump, filter, heater, blower, cracked slabs and add automation. The other quotes I got were a bit lower, not by much, but they were severely lacking. When I am spending a significant amount of money, I want to know what I am buying. The quote I received in record time from Barefoot Pools, had the model numbers of everything I was getting along with hauling away the old equipment and spec'd everything, right down to the valves and plumbing. Other quotes I got simply said, replace pump, filter, heater. While saving a little money is nice, you get what you pay for. Barefoot Pools is a real company, it is not just someone that knows about pools and has a side hustle installing equipment. I am very happy with the new equipment and the variable speed pump and spa blower are SO much quieter than the old ones. I would most certainly do business with Barefoot Pools again. read more

We just had our 40+ yr old pool remodeled by Barefoot. We had our water line & cap tile replaced along with new cool decking. We had several companies out - most never sent or responded to our request for bid - we couldn't give away our money. Our buddy Shawn referred us over & we are happy with everything. We've been using Barefoot to slowly bring our pool into this century. This year we decided to do our remodel and we couldn't be happier. We worked with Chad a lot. We were very indecisive and had no idea what any of the "pool terms" meant. Chad patiently educated us and told us what would be best for current and future needs. Once we were ready to pull the trigger, we started to meet the rest of the Barefoot family. We met Jose, the owner of Barefoot on the day we chalked the lines for our new design. He is a very exciting guy and made some suggestions for our design that we don't regret. He added that "wow factor" to our pool. Shawn, our project manager was awesome. We texted and emailed him questions throughout the process and he answered and addressed them all. We still feel terrible about all the questions, but he handled every situation with a breeze and educated us a lot. Our house is under contract, and I had some complex issues with the pool that needed dealing with and it had to be done promptly and perfectly. Despite living near Barefoot for 20 years, I'd never used them before, but they treated me like I was a long-time customer. Before, our pebble-surface pool was REALLY green from months of letting our broken pool run. It only took a chlorine wash and an acid wash, and let me tell you it was A LOT of acid! But, I really can't put into words how amazing our pool now looks, how helpful they were, and how easy it was to keep in touch. My experience with Barefoot Pools was the best experience I've ever had with any type of contractor. They are professional, customer service oriented and knowledgeable. Never was anyone late or a no show, Including all the crews. And there were quite a few, all doing different aspects of the project. We had our pool resurfaced and retiled, an unsightly rock waterfall removed, cool deck repaired where the waterfall had been and new pavers to match our existing. My first appointment was with Chad for an estimate. He gave me a folder with information on everything from pumps to tile. Very professional. He is so nice and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions from the first conversation to the last when we signed the contract. During that time, I also spoke to office staff and they were always courteous and helpful. One thing Barefoot Pools has over other pool companies is a showroom. Other companies had shown me little samples of pool finishes from the back of a pick-up. Doug was knowledgeable and helped us make choices on the color and finish of the pool. There was a wall full of tile to choose from too! Project coordinator, Shawn, was terrific to work with. Our job ran seamlessly. He was so patient and answered still more of my many questions as the project progressed. He took my calls right away when possible and answered texts quickly. He is a wealth of information! He helped me make some design choices and the result is spot on. The demo crew: These "beasts" worked 8-12 hours a day in the middle of August to get the job done. It was brutal! Tile and surface crews: Pure craftsmen! Fascinating to watch and the results are beautiful. Throughout the project, Jeff stopped by to do all sorts of things. A Jack-of-all-trades, I think. He too, answered question I had and knew where my project was up to and what was happening next. He is so personable and a pleasure to talk to. Barefoot Pools owner, Jose, made several visits to check out the project. He asked if everything was going well and if I had any questions. Of course, I did! Which, of course he answered. We have had Barefoot Pools, owned by Jose Garcia, cleaning our pools for many years. We recently contracted with them to do a complete remodel, including travertine tile installation. We could not be happier. Yes, they did a great job, but many companies could do a good job and build a wonderful space. But their customer service is beyond compare. Each day after the next step was complete, Jose or Shawn would stop by to inspect, and nothing moved forward until every bit met their approval. Any time there was an unusual issue during the day, the workmen would take photos and send them to Shawn or Jose to get input on how to proceed. I want to acknowledge Jeff P, who was on site a lot, and always made it clear his goal was to make us happy with a job done right. And a 100% goes to Trey, who knocks on the door when he arrives, listens carefully, is a great troubleshooter, and best of all acts on needs immediately, all with a very cheerful attitude. I'm not sure what's happening at Barefoot beyond high technician turnover, but service has rapidly declined. They are like a different organization altogether. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing. My pool is a challenge right now as it needs a vacuum line repair (scheduled and deposit given and I am very worried about trusting BFP with this now), but lack of communication from one new tech to the next is unbelievable. My pool hasn't looked like I have professional service for a few months. I have had to call repeatedly. Yesterday they had to send a second tech (Trey) out because the two techs that came to service it as scheduled did, frankly a horrible job. Trey was great and has been the only person whose apologized on behalf of the company. He agreed the pool should NOT have been left in that condition. Just 6 months ago I wrote a raving review about BFP specifically my technician who is no longer my guy. I've been a loyal customer to them for years and sadly I think I'm going to have to shop for a new company to service my pool. The idea that this is the service level, with excuse after excuse and a price increase of $25 per month is almost unbelievable. I am really disappointed about this but it's close to the point of no return. read more

After getting about six quotes to remodel our pool, we picked Barefoot and are extremely happy with that decision. Their staff is extremely friendly, not pushy, and gave great recommendations. The remodel process was mostly smooth with few hiccups and the communication was great between the company and us about scheduling. There were a couple small issues that had to be resolved by a different company that handles warranty issues for the equipment manufacturer, but everything was resolved within a couple weeks and the pool has been running great for a month now. The new surface looks amazing. The owner, Jose, came out to do a final inspection and give us tips for maintaining the pool, and he is very open to helping out with any issues via phone, text or email. Shame shame. I've been with barefoot pools for well over a year and I've never had a problem until a few months ago. I had noticed a new pool cleaner was coming out every few weeks and had thought nothing of it because the pool still looked great, but then one day it didn't. In fact, it looked like someone showed up for 5 minutes and cleaned a few leaves out of the pool and left. There was still dirt at the bottom and on the stairs and overall it looked really bad. This continued for a total of about a month and I confronted the pool cleaner about it, to which he replied that a lot of wind was blowing things into my pool. I pointed to the trees to show him there was no wind and no way (in this particular instance) that this happened. Ultimately, I requested someone else to come service my property and they kept sending the same person. Oh, but I was told he was now being supervised which is why the pool looks better. If you have to supervise an employee to make sure they do their job then they shouldn't be working with your customers or with your company. PERIOD. I finally decided to leave barefoot pools today, after speaking with the manager, Brandon. I simply asked for the month to be comped and to ensure the job was done correctly moving forward and he said he would only comp 2-weeks of service. Personally, I think if someone has been a long time customer and they are upset that you do what it takes to make them happy, especially when it simply involves righting a very wrong month of service. Sadly, I was told my request couldn't be met and "Barefoot pools just isn't a good fit for me". Can't remember the last time a company showed such little regard for their customer relationships, or how they speak to customers. I'll sure miss the good times. read more
