Update: they made it right They're trying. I'll give 'em that. The food is good, but small and expensive ($90 for 3 people with one glass of wine for burgers!). Their menu mentions bottles of wine they don't sell (they only have wine on tap). I ordered an appetizer they were out of. I am trying to be starch free, and the menus was extremely limited in that regard for an organic place. When we went, their kitchen had an "issue" and they were closing early. Rather than put up some caution tape and a big oak tag sign, they were turning dozens of people away at the door, without even a discount or something. Might need a reset to get it right. It's across the street from a small shopping plaza so very convenient if you end up starving after a long than expected shopping trip. :) On a Sunday evening, the place was packed so we grabbed two seats at the bar. I like sitting at the bar because you get to see everyone in action. Everyone was hardworking nonstop and it was interesting to see the interaction between waiters, bartenders, bussers and the manager. The fact that fries don't come as a side with your burger was a surprise to me too. This was my first time at Bareburger. Not impressed at all with this place. I will give it the benefit of the doubt since this store is new. After we got our menu it took them 15 minutes to take our order. 20 minutes later they came back to verify what we ordered. We got our food but one of us got the wrong item. Our fries were missing. We had to tell them twice that we didn't get that. All in all the service was slow and it wasn't even that busy. The items were pricey for mediocre food. This isn't a good place to eat if you only have an hour for lunch. We were there for a good hour and half. The only plus side to this was that the staff was friendly. read more

I ordered the "Great Plains" burger which was a bison burger with american cheese, sunny side up egg, onion rings, smoke sauce on a brioche bun came to around $15 with everything. I've ordered twice now from the Plainview location and I'm not sure what it is but it's just not the same. Maybe because I had to do takeout(pandemic times)? The Brussels sprouts were disappointing both times- way too greasy and all leaves not enough actual brussel sprouts, but the burgers and fries were very good..just pricey. But, we tried it again, fingers-crossed: asked for well done burgers, waitress acknowledged and said may take longer. 30 minutes or more later, cut into burgers and they are both rare. I had an Ostrich burger.. was very good ( a bit on a rare side.. but I did ask for rare).. some of the default toppings that came with it.. didnt fit taste wise.. next time build your own toppings. My wife had the farmstand.. she loved it! And the Turkey burger was good. Fries and onion rings were awesome. Yes .. priced a bit high.. but for organic, non GMO healthy food I guess one has to pay up. Menu had a lot of options.. and enough variety to go back w/o getting bored of the same stuff. They have dairy free milkshakes which are to die for, and they offer a collard green wrap safe for everyone instead of gluten buns, etc. Friendly for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free / corn free / soy free / nut free eaters. Expensive for burgers, but I love how everything is organic, local, etc! They have great vegetarian and vegan options which isn't too common for a burger joint. My husband and I cook beyond burgers at home quite often and love them, but I've been wanting to try the Impossible burger so we came here for lunch. We got an order of rings & fries to share, the 2 Impossible burgers so we could share those too. I ordered the standard with the Impossible burger and my husband created his own with cheddar, bourbon pear jam, and some other stuff. The bourbon pear jam is very sweet, I'd avoid it. The Impossible looks and had the consistency of meat, but was soft. I personally prefer the Beyond burger and would go back here to get that patty instead. Definitely worth having and good! Me and my 2 friends stopped by Bareburger for some food and drinks around 9 pm. Restaurant was pretty empty so we got a table immediately. We ordered alcohol and waitress and bartender had no idea what captain Morgan and Coca Cola was, weird! We order appetizer macho fries and that was good. We each order burgers and those were good too. We asked for soda with our food and we had to remind waitress to bring the soda a couple times. Also there is as no silverware on table. After the burgers we order dessert. Shakes were very good. Then we asked for the check and as we were reviewing the check a maggot fell from ceiling and onto myself. Looking above there was a AC duct so maybe it came from there. We showed the waitress and she said she would let her manager know. The manager never came over to apologize or inquire about said maggot. The is 2nd time I've gone to Bareburger and the first time we were told they were closing early and we never got a table. This time a maggot fell on me! How much worse can it get. Really disappointed about how the manager neglected to check on us at all. read more
