I can't believe i just found out about this place living down the street from it. this place is everything you need for a nice night out or a good lunch spot. it is so beautifully decorated, and the food is amazing. I had the bruchetta and of coarse their pizza and let me tell you it is deffinetly the best pizza in CA! the staff is so caring and welcoming with 5 star service. The Staff was Amazing, and the initial intro was based on my phone call to inquire about patio seating etc. upon entrance hubby and I were greeted as if our business mattered to them. The pace of the evening was all uphill. Pizza was so delicious with honey drizzle. Hubby does not eat pork so they modified his side for him so we could share. Bartender was on point and extremely accommodating as he took very good care of us, from the food to the drinks. Our Old Fashion was great . We also did Whiskey tasting. My boyfriend and I were really excited to try Barcusos after hearing so many good things, but wow... what a letdown. From the moment we walked in, the experience was awful. The staff stared at us but didn't greet us, ask how many, or even acknowledge we were there. The bar was full, seating was limited, but we still tried to get someone's attention to see if there was a wait. Nothing. Just ignored. We felt like we were being judged the entire time we stood there. To make it worse, before we left, a server was literally standing in the walkway having a long chat with a couple he clearly knew, blocking the path. We said "excuse me" and they still wouldn't move. No one offered to help us, no one said goodbye, nothing. The whole vibe was just negative and unwelcoming. We left feeling uncomfortable and honestly a little embarrassed for even trying. I don't know how this place gets hyped up, but our experience was nothing but cold, rude, and unprofessional. Never again. read more

By far, the best pizza I've had in a very long while. The pepperoni w/hot honey was my favorite. We had several different mixed drinks, all were tasty and the Beale Street was really good with a Canoli at the end of our evening. Sarah was our waitress, very attentive and helpful. Enjoyed talking with her while we were early and it was a slow time. The inside is very much a simple pub, we sat on the large patio and Sarah turned the heater on which made our wives happy and comfy on a cool late afternoon into the evening. I met up with some friends for pizza and drinks. It was a Saturday and the inside is small and limited seating. It was raining, so inside was our only option. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable which added to our experience. The menu is very limited. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. The Zito pizza was my favorite. My friends ordered different whiskey/bourbon cocktails. I ordered a tequila cocktail that was very good I had two. I would recommend trying this place out even if it's just for drinks. read more

I've always felt intimidated by this place for some reason. I pass by it a lot on my way to other places. I finally stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. As soon as I walked I was greeted by the workers and customers as if they all knew me. I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was going to like this place. My first time to Barcuso my first impression they prioritize the reserved and private events. so why are you open??? I find this uncomfortable and inconvenient. i don't think people should have to be at the bar of you have reserved the whole patio. I felt that my party had to eat fast in order to accommodate the incoming customers. This is not the way a business should be ran. Do not recommend this place at all as far as space and accommodation period. read more

This bar just opened here in downtown Upland, and it's refreshing to have a bar open with the 1920s vibe. If you are looking for an intimate bar with a very involved owner, this is the spot. The owner was literally walking along the bar and all the tables introducing himself, asking how everyone was liking things, telling stories about his family...it's been a long time since my wife and I went to a bar like that. Had very low key, Italian, 1920s speakeasy feel but very inviting. Drinks are really good and the pizza was REALLY good. Simple ingredients but you can tell all the ingredients were fresh! First time here.. had such high hopes. We were not greeted at all. Was never asked what we would like to drink. I ended up having to ask for a drink probably 10-15 minutes later. We were the only ones in there at that time. Had to keep asking to order things , no one ever came over to ask if we wanted drinks or food ect.. ended up ordering a Caprese salad which was great. Went on a Sunday and only saw two people working. Was not greeted when my bf and I walked in. My bf had to walk up to the bar to ask where we could be seated. Host said he'd give us a menu "in a bit" so we waited for about more than 10 mins until I walked up myself to grab a menu. It was busy for a Sunday which we already knew the service already going to take long so we just got up and left. I will say the ambience is nice but definitely need more help especially on a weekend. Sad we didn't get to try the pizza. read more
