I met the owner whom is an absolute genuine and humble guy. This time around we ordered our fave- The Zio but this time on cauliflower crust and it was ridiculously delicious. Their bartenders are amazing, kind and super knowledgeable at their craft. The cocktails are not only delicious but the presentation is amazing. A crystal clear ice cube in my Negroni not only gives it a gorgeous look but also gives it a smooth taste. The environment is comfortable and welcoming. I've been here a few times because I love the Vibe! However every time my service is horrible or I am IGNORED and I just leave. I see the owner engaging with people. At times he's smoking a cigar having a drink while people are waiting to be served or for me just my order to be taken. I wish they opened earlier in the day! This just makes the experience decline by -50 points. Some servers are rude. It's not people's fault the place is open and the owner wants to reserve out the tables available and book private events. Wanted to love this place. Was told it was great! But the customer service was absolutely horrible. Went in on a Friday around 6 and the bar was 3/4 full. There were seats open, it wasn't slammed. Sat at the bar with my girlfriend for 20 minutes waiting to put our order in and nothing. The bartender finally acknowledged us after 15 minutes (said he'd get with us shortly) but still never came by to take our drink orders. We ended up walking out. No reason to wait 20 minutes if the place isn't slammed. 2 stars because the pizzas looked absolutely amazing. read more

It's a Cheers-type (tiny) bar with amazing pizza. My partner and I don't drink, but I bought a loyalty card ($25, dinepal.com) so wanted to check it out. We dined in. The pear pizza was amazing. Instant no-regret, until 5 weeks later when we tried phoning in a pick up order and no one answered (Saturday night, over 30 minutes straight of trying) the darn phone. Ambiance is geared towards 20/30 yo "cheers" crowd, not us oldies who just like a good pie. Shame, bc this would totally be on the rotation otherwise. Sodas were bar sodas in plastic cups. We are a group of friends that have known each other for over 20yrs, although we have spread out across the state and states, we manage to get together annually to bring up old, great times. This year, I was in charge of picking the place to meet. It had to meet our strict requirements: Beer, sports TV and cigars! Barcuso did not fail us! In addition to a great outdoor ambiance, which included fire pits and heat lamps, the staff was outstanding! Giuseppe, Jason, Christian, Joey (the owner) and the rest of the staff, all tagged-teamed us to make sure we wanted for nothing and made our get-together a memorable one. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable the staff was regarding their Bourbon and food selection. Joey, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. Wow! What a spectacular space to hang out. The ambiance is amazing, allowing for the perfect spot to sit and chat. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and just dang good at their jobs! I met up with some friends for pizza and drinks. It was a Saturday and the inside is small and limited seating. It was raining, so inside was our only option. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable which added to our experience. The menu is very limited. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. The Zito pizza was my favorite. My friends ordered different whiskey/bourbon cocktails. I ordered a tequila cocktail that was very good I had two. I would recommend trying this place out even if it's just for drinks. read more

I can't believe i just found out about this place living down the street from it. this place is everything you need for a nice night out or a good lunch spot. it is so beautifully decorated, and the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I were really excited to try Barcusos after hearing so many good things, but wow... what a letdown. From the moment we walked in, the experience was awful. The staff stared at us but didn't greet us, ask how many, or even acknowledge we were there. The bar was full, seating was limited, but we still tried to get someone's attention to see if there was a wait. Nothing. Just ignored. We felt like we were being judged the entire time we stood there. To make it worse, before we left, a server was literally standing in the walkway having a long chat with a couple he clearly knew, blocking the path. We said "excuse me" and they still wouldn't move. No one offered to help us, no one said goodbye, nothing. The whole vibe was just negative and unwelcoming. We left feeling uncomfortable and honestly a little embarrassed for even trying. By far, the best pizza I've had in a very long while. The pepperoni w/hot honey was my favorite. We had several different mixed drinks, all were tasty and the Beale Street was really good with a Canoli at the end of our evening. Sarah was our waitress, very attentive and helpful. Enjoyed talking with her while we were early and it was a slow time. The inside is very much a simple pub, we sat on the large patio and Sarah turned the heater on which made our wives happy and comfy on a cool late afternoon into the evening. This bar just opened here in downtown Upland, and it's refreshing to have a bar open with the 1920s vibe. If you are looking for an intimate bar with a very involved owner, this is the spot. The owner was literally walking along the bar and all the tables introducing himself, asking how everyone was liking things, telling stories about his family...it's been a long time since my wife and I went to a bar like that. Had very low key, Italian, 1920s speakeasy feel but very inviting. Drinks are really good and the pizza was REALLY good. Simple ingredients but you can tell all the ingredients were fresh! I find this uncomfortable and inconvenient. i don't think people should have to be at the bar of you have reserved the whole patio. I felt that my party had to eat fast in order to accommodate the incoming customers. This is not the way a business should be ran.
