Came here to get a better idea of what type of barbecue to purchase and gather some education and salesman wouldn't even walk around to talk with me and instead talked across the room and offered little help. Definitely will not be returning. I expected better customer service based on yelp reviews but if you're not even willing to walk around to greet your customers then not worth my money. EXCELLENT service by Eric Adams! We walked in and told Eric what our needs were and he very quickly led us to the four main choices that fit our needs. He was so knowledgeable and honest that we had something picked out within 10-15 minutes. He made sure we were not under buying OR overbuying for our needs and space. He gave great advice and insight and was not pushy at all. We shopped on Sunday and had an installed gas grill (hooked up to our house gas line) three days later! Amazing. My 8 year old BBQ ignitor system stopped working and Shig in the Hawthorne Blvd Torrance store guided me in 5 minutes to the remedy. I Replaced the 12 V battery and everything is up and running! Poor customer service is an understatement, being said neither of the two men working approached us to even ask if we had any questions! Next, while in the store a customer came in complaining about something that very much obviously affected one of the guys working in which showed in his face he was upset/angry. When my partner asked them which grills did they own themselves, he hardly acknowledged him and when he answered he didn't even look at him to say his response! Very rude disgusting workers. But really, when it comes to making our smoked ribs and chicken, our conversations usually start with the first sentence of the review. There used to be a BBQ's Galore near my place, but it's been long gone thanks to the freeway construction. Because this place is nearby to my job, hubby sends me here for his smoking needs. I go here for the spice rubs only. Well, we still have plenty of wood chips and thermometers, so no need to purchases those. My recent visit involved purchasing spice rub x4 and some spicy mustard for hubby's Tio (he smokes, too!). I was sold on a bottle opener/flashlight/lighter and ended up paying about $50. This is a great store for all your bbq needs. They have a good variety of top end products. They also have lots of other stuff like bbq sauce, wood chips, smokers, tools for cooking, fire places etc etc. every time I've been here the people working here are nice, knowledgeable, always willing to help, and talk to you about what they have and they spend time with you as needed. The prices seem to be competitive and the name brands are better than what you get a other chain stores. But its not cheap, but what is these days. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Barbeques Galore. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Eric and Shig. Eric is what I wish customer service ( experience) should be. My experience was awful. Do not shop here. I walked in looking to buy a custom BBQ with cash in hand and wasn't even greeted at the door. There were 2 employees both chatting with another customer, but couldn't be bothered to even look at me. Since I was with another female I really felt like these guys were being chauvinistic and didn't believe 2 girls were buying a BBQ. I didn't want to have to deal with shipping or a broken or defective grill arriving and the potential hassle. Here's the trick - ask for Rolo. I bought a fridge there and thousands of dollars of bbq equipment not too long ago. The evaporator went out in my fridge and I couldn't find a replacement part. It was maddening talking with BBQG guys and their distributor, coming to the realization that the 'part' doesn't exist .. now what. That's when, fortunately, Rolo took my call and said he'd find a solution. He did! I've found that the 'people' I deal with is more important than the product. I'd only go back and buy from them if Rolo was counseling me on products .. he knows his stuff and the buck stopped with him, he took responsibility. So, if you're going to give BBQG a go, make sure he's working (I think he's off Sun & Mon) and have him be your personal shopper .. he'll give you straight talk and good advice. Walked into this place looking for Kingsford Competition coals. This place doesn't even carry charcoal. They do carry wood chunks, but the size of the pieces in that they carry are not enough for a cookout. Stay away if you are looking to do real BBQ. All they carry are gas and ceramic grills. Not to mention, no one offered to assist me with anything. They have limited supplies. Not a place to find what you are probably looking for. You are better off going to Lowes or Home Depot. read more

My husband I have been coming to BBQ Galore for years. Parking is always easy with their parking lot. I bought my husband a Large big green egg about 5 years ago, and their customer service was excellent. Today I came in to buy charcoal so my husband can BBQ me up some steaks. I was greeted by two friendly guys and I let them know what I wanted (large bag of big green egg charcoal). While I paid for the charcoal, the other guy grabbed my needed charcoal and put it in my car. Literally me getting this charcoal was quicker than me writing this review. I dont even get this fast of a service for curbside pick up at Chick fil A. Thank you guys for making this errand super quick and pleasant for me, and I am so sorry for not catching either of your names. We intend to start construction on our outdoor bbq/entertainment area in March, 2020 so we started researching our outdoor bbq grill, natural gas side burner & wok options this week. We've been to several major appliance stores but they didn't carry Alfresco products, so yesterday, we drove over to Barbeques Galore on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance. We were immediately greeted by two sales representatives (Eric Adam and Shig) and I can honestly say that they went above and beyond our customer service expectations. They had several premium grills and accessories on display; however, we were specifically interested in products designed by Alfresco, Twin Eagles and Fire Magic. They were extremely knowledgeable, explained the desirable features of each product and provided us with brochures from all three manufacturers. Awesome spot for anything BBQ. I get pellets and sauce there but their selection of BBQs and furniture are the bomb.

The store was nice and if your looking for a grill under a thousand dollars its ok, but you'd probably do better at home depot or costco.. And then if your looking for a nice BBQ that will last, like I was, the quality of the stainless steel used even on the highest end bbq in the store didn't equal to what i found at "The BBQ store" (thats what its called) half a block down the road.. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! If I could, I wouldn't even give this place 1 star! I walked in with my husband and was not greeted at the door. Walked around for about 15 minutes and finally approached the sales rep ( who had been behind the counter the entire time) and told him that we needed spare parts for our grill. The sales rep basically told us that we should not fix our grill and we should just buy a new one. He would not let us finish our sentences and would talk over us when we tried to explain what we were trying to do with our grill. He spoke to us in such a condescending way that I was appalled at how he was speaking to us - he obviously was not taught his manners. I asked him for his name, which he refused to give. When i reached down to get a business card from the counter he reached over trying to stop me from getting a card. He told me that even if i complained about him, that i would not be able to do anything to him or his job. We then went to the other BBQ store down the street and found everything that we had been looking for. The staff at this store was so nice and helpful. We told the sales manager what happened and he stated that everyone complains about the service from Barbeques Galore. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! read more

This is the place to go for your BBQ needs! Make sure you talk to Chris, or Rolo. These 2 know everything about BBQing. This place has not only a highly knowledgeable staff, but also great high-end BBQ equipment, and tons of BBQ sauces, rubs, and accessories. Yes, the prices seem high at first glance, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking to spend $200 on a grill that is going to make your meats come out cheap tasting, dry texture, hard-to-chew, without smokey BBQ flavor, which ensures that everyone tasting your BBQ will smile to your face but talk behind your back on how you don't know how to BBQ, then go to Home Depot to buy that $200 grill. Oh, and by the way, you're probably gonna end up buying a newer better grill after a year anyway, based on going to your buddy's house, who DOES know how to BBQ and DID spend $1200 on a real BBQ machine. If you are seriously looking to become a BBQ master and put out good quality food, then you need to go to this store for your BBQ grill. Don't go to a HARDWARE store, BOX Store, specializing in mass distribution of Hardware and Construction supplies... they know nothing about BBQ Grills, except which ones are easiest and fastest to distribute in mass quantities per store on their showroom floor. Chris and Rolo taught me so much about how each of the BBQ lines and grills they carried were selected and manufactured to do the job right.
