However, the quality of the blowout was lacking. I asked my stylist for a voluminous blowout with big curls, and I took these photos as soon as I got home - about 30 mins after my appointment - and you can see that it looks pretty messy. My hair wasn't brushed out at the salon after the blowout was done, and I was told to wait to brush it out to preserve it. Maybe I should've paid the upcharge to use hot tools, but my hair never has trouble holding form after a blowout. I paid $58 + tip for this, and had to redo it myself when I got home

As a random first-time Groupon client, Kelley could have cropped and dropped me in a heartbeat, but…read moreshe didn't. She took the time to really LOOK, TALK, and DISCUSS me. ME. No up-sell. No shenanigans. No "well if you..." NO! Kelley is the type of person that will discuss at length with you what you want your hair to look like and what you are willing to deal with. I expressed early on that I didn't want to deal with styling. Kelley found a way to tap into my tresses' wavelength (sad attempt at pun for wavy hair) and now I have a style I can wash, comb, sprunch minimally on the way to work, and have adorably styled hair without all the damaging heat (and time suck). But.. (there is always a but)... her true magic is in her coloring skills. Kelley is a color NINJA! Kelley pulled out her swatches like a fricken Samurai and wielded them like I was a Japanese princess worthy of... holy hyperbole... let's just say she picked out amazing color. You know it's amazing color when all but 3 out of ALL OF THE GRAYS have been organically annihilated and your own personal title of "urban hippie" hasn't been compromised. This is the most natural looking dye job I have ever had. Let's just say, Kelley knows what she's doing. She selected the most amazing color combinations to gracefully transition my roots/prior dye hacks and gray hairs into a color scheme that is not only conducive to growing out but also incredibly healthy for my hair. Compliment #1: "Your hair is so much more shiny, what did you do?" Compliment #2: "Your hair is so soft, I want to shave you and weave your trimmings into a scarf" Compliment #3: "I didn't know you had curly hair?" Ok, so compliment 3 really isn't a "compliment" by conventional standards. The compliment is the fact that not only did Kelley quell the uneven tonal quality of my hair, but she ultimately improved and amplified my hair's natural tendencies. Kelley makes magic happen. Just go to Kelley.

After being in her hands for a couple hours, my hair health and look has turned around completely - it is almost as if she performed a miracle. It is soft, stylish, and radiating. The Kelley Cut has given me a style that I don't even need to blow dry - a dab of product and a comb out is all I need to attain that stylish but messy look I so desired. I am not easy to please - I wanted healthier hair, but I didn't want her to cut much length off. I didn't know what color I wanted, she helped me identify the right color for my eye color. She managed to hit all my concerns. She's amazing! Thank you, Kelley!

She is 100% qualified and clachet (aka classy ratchet; but only if / when you get to know her). She can be an ultra dignified stylist who is super professional, if that's what you like, want, and need. Myself, I go for the ratchet; forget the classy part; that's too dull of an appointment for me. I appreciate this level of ratchet humour, highly skilled service. (She could offer me bubbles, though...but...that'd be me being bougie and classy adjacent...so, Jesus' regular grape juice it is or that beverage made for monks...the fasting fermented calories one...buuut, I digress...). That noted, she is...a BEAST with colour. Don't question this. She knows what she's about. (Debate me! I told you I don't want to share, but I can't lie or joke about this; even if it makes me feel snarky having to admit it; ugh!) I've been asked for YEARS to leave a damn review and I have STAUNCHLY REFUSED. Now, I'm the first one here; argh! Have I ever recommended her to friends...reluctantly, yes; repeatedly.
