One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

She gives an above average salon experience, but still takes the time to personally connect with her Clients. I initially went to her for a red balayage and she took my inspiration picture and put her own personal touch to truly give me a custom hair color. Ever since then I've gone to her for regular up keep and trims, and she always slays it. Even in between visits, my hair will fade like normal, but still looks fantastic and natural. That's how good she is! Heather also has tons of hair knowledge and experience, but also makes sure to dedicate time to educate herself further to pass down. When I first started seeing her, I would fry my hair with straighteners and not really know how to manage it. Now my hair is at it's healthiest, and regular haircuts from Heather help to keep my curls in place even though I have blonde in place. Having Heather as my Stylist is the best decision I've made for my hair.

No shenanigans. No "well if you..." NO! Kelley is the type of person that will discuss at length with you what you want your hair to look like and what you are willing to deal with. I expressed early on that I didn't want to deal with styling. Kelley found a way to tap into my tresses' wavelength (sad attempt at pun for wavy hair) and now I have a style I can wash, comb, sprunch minimally on the way to work, and have adorably styled hair without all the damaging heat (and time suck). But.. (there is always a but)... her true magic is in her coloring skills. Kelley is a color NINJA! Kelley pulled out her swatches like a fricken Samurai and wielded them like I was a Japanese princess worthy of... holy hyperbole... let's just say she picked out amazing color. You know it's amazing color when all but 3 out of ALL OF THE GRAYS have been organically annihilated and your own personal title of "urban hippie" hasn't been compromised. This is the most natural looking dye job I have ever had. Let's just say, Kelley knows what she's doing. She selected the most amazing color combinations to gracefully transition my roots/prior dye hacks and gray hairs into a color scheme that is not only conducive to growing out but also incredibly healthy for my hair. Compliment #1: "Your hair is so much more shiny, what did you do?" Compliment #2: "Your hair is so soft, I want to shave you and weave your trimmings into a scarf" Compliment #3: "I didn't know you had curly hair?" Ok, so compliment 3 really isn't a "compliment" by conventional standards. The compliment is the fact that not only did Kelley quell the uneven tonal quality of my hair, but she ultimately improved and amplified my hair's natural tendencies. Kelley makes magic happen.
