You can tell they really like the menu and enjoy eating the food they serve. They have a lot of great options to try for breakfast, brunch, etc. The Belgian waffle has got to be one of the best waffles I've had in a long time. It was fluffy and the sugar melts in your mouth. Their seasoned home fries were a great pairing for this hollandaise deliciousness.

The staff is super friendly and I appreciate the loyalty cards for coffee and bread. The bakery itself is small but so quaint being in an old historical house. If you haven't tried With the Grain, you're missing out on a Guelph experience.

Great location and customer service…read more Scones: Decent. A little sweet (which I like), served with whipped cream and strawberry jam. Fruit: The fruit was the best part of all our meals here. It was so fresh and sweet, which I thought would be difficult to find outside of California! I also enjoyed it with cottage cheese, which is not so common at breakfast spots in California unfortunately. Tea: The tea is enjoyable but pretty average when compared to bougier tea spots like The Bruce in Stratford. It's not clear how long I should let it steep for for optimal flavor. I preferred the Winter Dream green tea, which was warm and cozy, slightly sweet. I also preferred the McCrae over the Boathouse blend. The Boathouse blend was a little basic for me, and the McCrae had a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. High Tea: Average - a good price and pleasant experience, especially if the weather is nice enough to eat outside (and catch a bald eagle flying by!). My favorite dessert was the carrot cake cupcake. Ice Cream: Yes, ice cream and tea is definitely a good idea! The banana cream pie tastes like your classic Runts banana flavor (the original banana that got wiped out) and the black cherry has plenty of big cherry pieces. Great servings, and we loved that they served them in reusable bowls instead of disposable ones. Would definitely come again!

If you follow the route, it leads to another bigger parking lot. Parking is free! Reservations are highly recommended. My guest and I made a reservation for two for 1:30pm. It was very busy when we walked in. We got a table right by the door. There were artwork and paintings hung all around the cafe - it was cute. I ordered an afternoon tea set, as well as an extra breakfast burrito for my guest and I to share. There is a tea menu to look at all the various options they have. It was nice to see that they had many options to choose. Our set came with mini sandwiches, scones and dessert and fruits. I would definitely come back to visit - it would be nice to come in the summer and book a table out on their patio.

I will try them again for the plant based options.

Hi Yelpers! Been…read morehere before at the Hamilton location. Thought I'd try a different location and different food. The restaurant is in a plaza with a reasonable amount of parking. The restaurant also offers dine-in and patio. The servers, some wore masks and some did. The washrooms are gender neutral. The vibe is casual. Moderately loud. Polite server who was attentive. In terms of food, we got the calamari as an appetizer, it was breaded nicely. The dipping sauces were house cocktail sauce and garlic sauce. There were two thinly slices chorizo and fried onions? My partner had the Buddha Bowl, which composed of farm greens, minted millet and peas, tamari mushrooms, pickled red onions (weren't too tart), cilantro, sesame slaw (refreshing), chili like cracker (meh) and his chosen meat was flank steak (reasonable sized portion). Other options were chicken, salmon and fried tempeh. I had the BEE STING pizza. It's composed of red sauce, mozza, spicy salami (not too spicy;mild heat), basil, honey (brought a good sweetness), lemon ricotta (don't taste it much), and chili oil. The crust is tastes. Love it. For dessert we shared the Maple Walnut Bread Pudding. Unsure what bread putting is suppose to be like but there break needed force to slice up the vanilla ice cream with the candied walnuts is fantastic. I would definitely go back! Check it out Yelpers!

When we finally received our food the salad was adequate- very small- polenta fries not really firm enough - actually a little mushy- sauces were very tasty. When our pizza finally arrived it was not cooked properly - mushrooms were difficult to chew - pizza was not cut through - crust was so thin we could not eat it without a fork/knife - and bottom crust was gooey! I looked around at other pizzas while were leaving and they looked much thicker, while still being thin - they could actually pick up a piece of pizza and it was cut through. We have no issue paying for a well made pizza - we are Italian and enjoy a gourmet pizza - this was not our experience. We were actually disappointed with this food. Please note this is NOT our first visit here - I have noticed a decline in quality - too bad I sincerely enjoyed this restaurant before.....

The appetizers (calamari, mozza sticks, and wings) were great! Very solid choices although personally the wings (medium) were a little too sweet for us. Service was ok but the waitress did seem a bit stressed. The mains, however, were a bit disappointing. The burgers were just ok, my halloumi in the halloumi salad was burnt (although the salad itself was great), and the children's cheese sandwich was also burnt. The fish & chips were very oily. Usually I really want to like and rate local establishments well as I am a local myself, but burnt food is a no-no and unfortunately with kids I don't really have the time to ask for a remake. Great vibes for a good beer though.
