Yikes. Went here for happy hour and it was moderately busy. Ordered a sparkling rose from the happy hour menu. Was served in a large wine glass and the "sparkling" rose was flat and sour. I let the server know and she asked me if I wanted something else. I suggested they open a new bottle and she became frustrated and said she would have to talk to the manager, that they wouldn't just waste a bottle. 15 minutes went by and she came back again frustrated and said she would get the manager at which point we just asked for the check and left. Barely mediocre is the best one can say about the food at Bar Louie. Calamari looked appealing, but was left in deep fry long enough to cook to finish. Dipping sauces were ok. Burger was served luke warm, with over powering raw onion slices on a half stale bun. One tiny plastic thimble of ketchup for both burger and fries. Fries were also like warm. All of the food was essentially tasteless. It looked like it could taste good, but, essentially had little to no flavor, wasn't hot, and had problems, like the bun/onion on burger and under cooked calamari. I had a great time here on a random Saturday evening. It was my first time at this location but it won't be my last. The music was on point this day which made the overall atmosphere more enjoyable for me. I sat at the bar with my companion and the service was great. The bartender was friendly and l quick to take care of us. The lemon drop was nice and skrong. My first time having one actually and the bartender made it really well. I came to the restaurant because my son was skating on the outdoor ice rink. The staff accommodated me, to sit outside next to the fire pit. The menu is a bit limited. They were out of the sirloin for the Cheesesteak. We ordered the pretzel bites as an appetizer. It came with plenty bite, and two sauces, all good. I had the Chicken Parm sandwich and my son has a burger. Both meals came as ordered, and tasted great. The French fries are exceptional. I continued to hang outside at the fire while he skated. Our server, Silas, continued to take drink orders for me. It was a little slow, being a Monday and Covid. I will eat here again and would like to try a full menu item. read more

Visited here at opening time on a Saturday. There was ample seating available. The waitress was pleasant. Unfortunately she didn't have much help for some time. Because of that she was responsible for taking care of many tables which meant she couldn't initially be as attentive to my table as we would have preferred. That doesn't fall on our waitress though; that's more of a staffing issue. I ordered Voodoo pasta, a side Cesar salad and bottomless mimosa. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. I was disappointed that my salad didn't come to the table until I was halfway finished eating my pasta. I don't remember what my friend ordered but she said it was very good. I believe it was more of a breakfast dish (sort of like a sandwich without the bread) that had the same voodoo sauce on it. I would return to this location. read more

This place is cool, but man! They need some help. We had a group of about 20, and the inconsistency was too noticeable. We werent offered cutlery, we didn't get refills of water. Our wait time for our food was 2 hours (bad!) and the food came out warm and soggy. Some of the groups food was incorrect, our drinks weren't refilled either. It was a busy Saturday, and it was nice outside, but cmon! The one server seemed a bit flustered because he was doing a lot. I felt for him, but after 2 hours of waiting for appetizers and entrees we were all over it. I would come back here again in a smaller group. Just not with a large party. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and loaded fries. I told him, no guacamole and no jalapeños, and i got both on my food. Sad part, he wrote it down so i didn't understand that at all. if I could give no stars I would. l made a reservation for 16 people for 6 PM. We arrived on time and all seemed well. Some of the drinks we ordered weren't made to completion, they didn't include all the ingredients. it wasn't until we asked why the three drinks that we ordered that were exactly the same look different. The explanation we received was that they ran out of what was needed to make the drink. We also ordered nachos as an appetizer, it came out with cold cheese. We let the waitress know that the cheese was cold, she explained that the cheese was thawing. Some of appetizers we ordered they didn't even bring. Although this is bad, this is not even the worst part. We ordered our food around 6:30 and at 8:15 we still haven't received any of our entrées. I will say we did order three kids meals when we first arrived, and they did receive their food around 7:50pm. Now because of the long wait we asked the waitress to cancel our order, and she informed us that the 20% gratuity was still going to be applied to our visit. After speaking with the manager and expressed how dissatisfied we were he did remove the meals that we ordered that we never received off bill, but somehow what we ordered for the kids was not priced as advertised because we still paid $75. Mikayla was excellent server. Patient, courteous and spilt the check multiple ways out of 12 people. I ordered a hot toddy which most bartenders hate to make and is a pain to make for them. But the hot toddy's came out 1st! Which is pretty awesome The beer selection was not super impressive, but the standard National Brands. They have some impressive cocktails which everyone enjoyed. We ordered a few apps and lots of drinks. We ended up catching up with family from all over the country. Our waitress, mikayla was the perfect amount of attentive and not too in your face. Apps were good. Prices were very decent, coming from DC area. The venue was good for large groups. We got seated immediately on a Saturday night. We ordered five items total the calamari was chewier than Han solo's cohort-and tasted like the hull of a Boston harbor tour boat. Go Yankees. The quinoa salad had no quinoa in it a small bowl of quinoa was delivered after the complaint. We won't order again. Very, very disappointing take out. Ordered Bar Louie Cheeseburger: no special sauce, no cheese sauce. Just a plain, mediocre cheeseburger. Ordered Cali chicken sandwich - no goat cheese and dried up chicken and bread. Totally inedible. Ordered charred Cesar salad - literally just looked like a bag of romaine lettuce in a box: no dressing. No charring. Didn't even touch it. Also got sides of loaded Tater tots which were fine and the reason it's not a one star review. Considering restaurants are struggling for business during this recession, we thought we'd support a local business by ordering. Unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. We won't be ordering again. Food is a hit or miss here. Drinks are watered down with too much ice. On this particular day I watched the bar tender make my drinks(Sangria) and he filled it with ice twice. I had to request a side of Obay seasoning because I didn't take it on my wings. The Buffalo wings were dry and appeared to have been sitting for awhile before we received. The wings lacked sauce. I was surprised that my quesadilla came out before my Chips and dip. When I asked the bartender about the food that didn't come he stated " I don't know, I'm making drinks, they will bring it out". By time we received the the trio dip the guacamole was turning a little brown also appearing to have sat for awhile like the wings. The quesadilla was nice and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. I will definitely order that again. The atmosphere was real chill. I went during happy hour. Our waitress seemed to be tipsy. She kept forgetting stuff we ordered. Then she over charged us $50. Highly upset once we looked and found out it was happy hour. The drinks and chicken appetizers were good. The floor is sticky and tables need to be cleaned more. The ambiance is loud and drunk people every where. But it is a bar. Still upset we lost 50 dollars because our waitress failed to tell us it was happy hour and didn't charge us the right prices for the drinks we ordered. I won't be recommending. read more

Closing time is 0200 per google, last call was at 1240 and the bar manager stated it was because of volume. Even with customers at the bar, it was said because of volume, they would be closing early. Regarding the drinks being good and bartender's service, the reasoning didn't sit well as outside of myself, other customers who also wanted services, wasn't given that for that reason. Customers who come to the establishment for the late night menu should be serviced but being denied (outside of being overly drunk as they had a customer who was approached by BCPD because of their intoxication) causing loss of revenue and a distasteful experience. If hours are being reduced, it should be implemented across the board, not per the convenience or not wanting to service customers per the terms (open hours) for the location. read more

As a server and bartender in the service industry, I can be patient with the kitchen taking a while to pump food out or the bar being backed up and waiting on drinks. But what I won't tolerate, is putting my name down to get a table after being told it will be a 10-15 mins wait, coming back after 20 mins for an update and seeing a sign on the door saying "Unfortunately we are no longer taking names for tables- BAR SEATING ONLY". I patiently waited up front at the host stand after seeing the sign to be sure that was accurate for the night and had several servers walk by us and bartenders look at us with no care to stop and clarify anything. As two people traveling from NY, it was disappointing to have this be our first experience after touching base. read more

I took him seriously and as I was grabbing for my wallet is when he laughed and let me know he was kidding. What the fuck? Was the supposed to be funny? 2. 25 mins for our food to come out - 3 salmon sliders and a chicken sandwich. 2 additional minutes for my side of fries to come out. The silver lining here is that at the very least, I wasn't being charged for presentation. (Pic attached) PS. 3 bartenders, 4 servers, 1 manager on the floor. 5 tables, 11 people at the bar. What are their ticket times when they have a full house? Yikes. 3. Salmon sliders - bacon burnt to shit. Salmon dry as hell. If I had cooked it I would've thrown it out and started all over again. 4. There was an older (read: not 20something) bartender who was killing it. Super friendly and hustling. HE is the one Bar Louie can than for 2 stars, not 1. Their was another bartender with a beard, who was also great, but I think he may have been doubling as the cook since he seemed to be really stretched between the floor and the kitchen. Either way, these guys should find jobs at places people will actually be happy to spend their money at. read more
