This was such a great stop for breakfast. I had the Kentucky eggs Benedict and I can't stop thinking about it! It was so delicious and I couldn't get over the freshness of the biscuit and the home fries. The wait staff was so friendly and efficient always checking on us and filling our cups. We were greeted quickly although I know they are short staffed since we actually had lunch there the day before. Lunch was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. We decided to get breakfast there mostly because it was so close to our campground. Kay was our waitress, she was delightful! I got their special omelette with mozzarella cheese. My husband got the feta cheese omelette. I got a small fruit salad, it was the only thing that wasn't great. My meal was excellent, enough for some to take home. For lunch I got the haddock sandwich. I thought the batter was too thick but the fish itself was good. Standard coleslaw and some fries. I guess I enjoyed breakfast more than my lunch. read more

We were recently in the area hiking and ate here twice for breakfast. Nice outdoor dining area, social distancing both inside and out. It was very clean, and customers without masks were nicely told they needed a mask to enter. Pancakes were delicious, clearly homemade and not out of a box. Service was excellent. We were starving and saw Banners and pulled over really quick. Lory was our server, she was very kind and quick with getting our drinks and let us take our time deciding. We were very happy that at 1pm we could still get breakfast. Dug into the food to fast to take a picture, it was SO good! I had the special Italian sausage omelet, absolutely amazing. They were pretty insistent about customers wearing masks to and from their tables but I was grossed out when I saw a young man seated in a booth behind us mining his nose while wrapping dining utensils in napkins. I keep coming here in a town full of restaurants, if that tells you anything. The wait staff is casual and friendly but efficient and helpful at the same time. They handle kids like Mary Poppins would. Constantly moving but never wasting a step, these women don't hover but are always there just a second before they are needed. Your waitress is yours throughout-another thing I like. I've had breakfasty things and sandwiches-all very good. Nothing flashy just good food, service and price. I'm going back. read more

Great food, great service, great find. We were in the area on a day trip enjoying the scenery in October when we came upon Banners. We stopped because it looked like there wouldn't be a wait. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. We were seated promptly. Our waitress was at our table within minutes. We had some chowder which was good then we had sandwiches. My Monte Cristo was great and the fries were exactly what they should be, crispy and flavorful. Her cheeseburger club was cooked perfectly and she had the same fries. Good breakfast items. Got the hikers breakfast my husband got the monte cristo Grilled blueberry muffin was awesome and tasty. Waitstaff was attentive. We didn't feel rushed but we did get our breakfast fast and we're able to eat and be in our way. We waited 15 minutes which was reasonable. We have gone there a few times over the years and will continue to return. The only downfall is the price of the freshly squeezed OJ. That is my only complaint. My Dad had stopped in this restaurant early one morning while he was doing hikes in the area and he was the only one in the restaurant. This was not the case when we arrived this time. While we got a table right away to accommodate the five of us, the rest of the tables were full and there was a constant line of people waiting to get in while we enjoyed our meal. It seems like it is quite the popular spot. I am not usually a huge fan of waffles, but the Strawberry waffles popped out at me and I am very happy that I ordered them. They were delicious, especially for the price of just over $5. The waitress came to our table to do a coffee refill once near the start of our meal but for the rest of our stay, seemed to see all of the tables surrounding us; she did not check on our table again until it was time for the bill but like I said, it did seem like a busy morning. We were on our way out of North Conway and we're hoping to find someplace to have lunch. As we were passing the restaurant, we decided to stop. Excellent idea. I ordered a Greek salad and it was the best greek salad I've ever had and that's saying a lot! The lettuce was so fresh and it had green and red peppers and some shaved carrots along with the usual ingredients. My husband ordered a fried haddock sandwich (like a rubeun, but with coleslaw). After securing a camp site (EARLY - It's pitch your tent or bust up there) along the Kangamangus Highway, I figured it was a good idea to scarf down some breakfast. I mean, the Kangamangus isn't TOO far from North Conway (aka the land of tax free outlet shopping). Who could tackle that on an empty stomach? I spotted Banners out of the corner of my eye as we traveled along Route 16. It seemed cute enough and there were lots of cars outside. Looked hoppin'. Once inside we were seated right away. Coffee came quickly the first time but never again. Water? Apparently you must ask for it in this neck of the woods. Our waitress looked about 16 so I forgive her a little. I ordered the New England breakfast - eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. The toast was the best part (I went with sourdough). My eggs were average and the home fries were kind of nasty - they were so bland and possibly once frozen. No thanks. Another thing that bother me was all the Yankees paraphernalia - we are in New Hampshire people, not NEW York. Talk about unappetizing! All in all, a ho-hum breakfast with average prices. It's super inexpensive too, my boyfriend and I gorged ourselves on homemade hash and huge pancakes for only $20. All of the servers and kitchen staff hustle but are still so kind and attentive.
