My review is going to encompass the experience I had with SimonMed as a whole, which was less than…read moreacceptable. My gastroenterologist scheduled a CT scan with and without contrast, with oral contrast as well. Joy! I hate having CT scans done because of the dye...and the oral contrast always upsets my stomach. They put sorbitol in that stuff and I have a sensitivity to sugar alcohols. Anyway, when I scheduled the appointment, they told me to arrive 15-minutes before my appointment, bring my insurance card and ID and to drink 32oz of water within one hour of the procedure. I received a confirmation phone call the night before the procedure once again informing me to arrive 15 min. prior to the scheduled appointment time. Also, when I scheduled the appointment, the agent I spoke with created a new SimonMed account for me instead of using my existing one. My existing account is under an old email address and because the lady set up a new account with my new email address, it won't let me change the email address on the old account. It also won't let me log into the new account. I called and no one seems to know how to fix this. One agent told me that they sent a request to have the accounts merged, however that never happened. Super frustrating! When I arrived at the facility, the lady behind the counter said, "Were you aware that you needed to be here one hour before your scheduled appointment time?" I explained that the scheduling department (based in India) told me numerous times that it was 15 min. Then, she said the CT scan was going to be over $470. I had called my insurance company prior to the appointment and my insurance company said it was going to be $160-$170. I explained this and the assistant said she'd resubmit it to see. After about 10 min. the bill was somehow reduced to $169 but then they charge a 3% credit card fee, which I found to be ridiculous for a medical facility to do this. As far as the care quality goes, it was just ok. The technician was super nice but she missed my vein when doing my IV and then dug around for a little while with no success...then she restuck me in almost the same spot, which was a little on the painful side. I hope this is the last time I have to have a CT scan and the last time I have to deal with SimonMed. The quality of service regarding scheduling has really gone down hill and the insurance billing seems to be a big question mark. Why was I going to be charged over $400 at first? If I didn't question it, I would've been on the hook for this. I bet they would've never sent the claim knowing they over charged and would've kept my money.

The Technician during this visit gets my Kudos for working with me and my Phobia! Office environment 5/5 Clean, organized, well run! Scheduling 0/5 They fell well short of good patient care. I am writing to share my concerns about the walk‑in x‑ray service at your Kyrene location. I have…read morevisited this facility several times because it is the closest to my home, yet I have repeatedly been redirected to other locations despite arriving within posted hours and being told that walk‑ins are accepted. On multiple occasions, including earlier today during my lunch break, the front desk informed me that the clinic was too busy and advised me to go to the Ahwatukee location instead. After work, I returned to Kyrene at 4:28pm. There was only one person ahead of me, and the clinic was still open for another 30 minutes. However, I was again told that they had already taken their "last patient" for the day and that I needed to go elsewhere. I then drove to the Dobson location in Mesa, where I arrived at 4:47pm. I checked in, made my payment, and had my x‑ray completed by 5:02pm. The entire process took only a few minutes, which made it even more confusing why Kyrene could not accommodate me under similar circumstances. I understand that staffing levels and workflow can vary, but the inconsistency between what Kyrene advertises and what patients actually experience is concerning. If walk‑ins are not consistently accepted or if there is an earlier cutoff time, clearer communication would help prevent unnecessary travel, time lost, and frustration. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that the clinic can improve transparency around walk‑in availability and ensure that patients receive consistent and reliable service across all locations. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your time and hope this helps improve the experience for future patients.

My doctor had sent an electronic order over the afternoon prior. At first, I was told that the x-ray technician wasn't there that day but then she figured out that they were. They did not use my current order that my doctor had sent over. They used an order that was in the system from two years ago from a different doctor. I tried to get them to change it over the telephone, but they have outsourced their customer service department to India so it's impossible to get anything done. Just getting them to send it to my current doctor was a chore. I had to call my current doctors office to get them to call SimonMed and give them the order again verbally over the telephone. I then emailed Shannon, the girl who works at the front desk at SimonMed THREE times and she never once returned my email. She has no clue what she's doing. I watched as other customers came in for their appointment and were told that that technician wasn't in that day, but no one let the customer know. I would highly recommend that you go to a different imaging place. This place just does not have what it takes to run an efficient, competent and customer service, friendly office.

First off at check in I was caught off guard with the payment upfront and made me feel like an idiot. I did receive a text letting me know that a payment would be required but no actual amount, hence not prepared to pay several hundred dollars. The front desk person kept on repeating - well, you were sent a text and it was opened. Yes the text came through but again not even an estimate amount. So I was prepared to pay the average copay. Second - when I was called for my imaging, I was being questioned over and over as to why was I getting those images. Listen I'm a patient and my doctor ordered what she ordered because She felt that was importante to get looked at. I'm a patient not the medical professional. if they have issues with my imaging order then contact my doctor. I pay a lot of money every month for private insurance so just complete my medical doctor's order and don't make me feel awful for being there.
