This may seem an unusual 5 star review, in that I didn't buy anything from Marty M., and he didn't even want to sell me anything ... but the company earned my raves ... and here's why: Termite company told me my attic insulation looked weird when they were up there inspecting. I mentioned that the A/C hadn't been cooling properly for months, but my A/C maintenance co. (of 11 years) couldn't find a specific problem. Termite guys recommended Marty - the insulation guy. Marty asked a lot of questions about renovations over the years. Marty went into the attic ... came down ... went BACK INTO THE ATTIC ... came down AGAIN ... asked me to turn on the A/C ... went back up ... ... and informed me that I have a poorly repaired multi-inch hole in the main air duct that has been busy air conditioning dead attic space for ... how long? I guess nobody else ever saw it because they never crawled to the very end of the catwalk, or turned the A/C on while they were in the attic to observe airflow anomalies. He said the bad patch was just flapping in the breeze when he went up the last time. Marty told me my insulation looked okay ... I should just get the hole fixed and see if it solved my problem. Marty has earned my respect, and my gratitude. He could probably have talked me into some more insulation, fixed the hole while he was up there ... how the heck would I have known? Instead, he was thorough, he was honest (even when it didn't serve his interests), I got the answer to my problem, and I didn't pay him a penny for any of it. Hired them to add attic insulation. Service crew is five stars. Showed up within fifteen minutes of scheduled time (house is hard to find), covered all areas that they had to traverse inside the house with plastic drop cloths, and were concientious to make sure that their equipment stayed on the plastic at all times. Encouraged me to go into the attic and check their work too. Made sure that they left the house as spotless as possible. Scheduler was very good about going over all forms that had to be filled out and returned prior to work commencing. Reason for four stars vs five is that their estimator was here for less than ten minutes and not communicative while on premises. He called later in the day to go over the estimate and SRP rebate. read more

Got a quotefor $1200 and I ended up doing the fiberglass wall batts myself because I installed some air conditioning returns in my living room and bedroom. I gave them three calls to ask about how much it would be to blow in cellulose. They never got back to me. Very disappointing service. I would not recommend. What I would recommend is, doing it yourself. All I was $400. They could of at least called me back haha but they made it easy for me to decide to do it myself so good on them for that lol! read more

Banker came out to do a bid on some additional cellulose insulation in our attic. Instead, based on recommendation by Grant Gosselin due to the allergy issues I have, as well, poor attic design (which had little/no insulation in spots) we did Spray Foam Insulation. Let me tell you, amazing. There was 2 step process, the first part went well and our whole home was slated the week after Memorial Day. Due to some scheduling issues, there were delays which could have pushed the Foam for an entire week. Grant stepped up and got 2 crews on a Saturday to complete the job. As well, we had 2 additional visits to clean up some issues While the issues were minor, Grant and Banker got everything taken care of with flying colors! Now our AC is running at a max 5-7hrs a day (compared to 24x7) during the heat. The energy savings is amazing and I would highly recommend anyone in the valley to consider spray foam. While it costs more up front (and there is some HVAC work to be done) the long term savings are incredible! read more

I had a bid done and after a couple weeks I called back to have the work done, and the person that did the bid wasn't there any more. (should have been a red flag). So I was told to call another person. I called and left a message, I hear back from him a week later... he told me they would honor the bid but would need a faxed copy of it, it being 2010 I asked if I could email him the original bid that was EMAILED TO ME? He said that he didn't have email so no, I would need to fax it like it was 1993. I did that and didn't hear back form him... and didn't hear back from him... finally I called and left a message again, and I didn't hear back from him. FINALLY, after calling twice I cot a hold of him... He said, he would have the installation people give me a call. They did and set an appointment. The day before the appointment, I got a call from a Baker secretary asking for my credit card information... ? I asked why and she explained that they were going to need to have it to pay for the insulation, i asked if we would pay when the work was done? She said, no it works better if they take my credit card... So i agreed BUT stressed the fact that I did not what to be changed for work that was not done yet... as you can probably guess, they went a head a charged my card. I called and asked why they ran my card... she explained that it was company policy. I talked to another sales guy who said there was nothing he could do... I left a message for "Mr. Fax" and still have not heard back. The next day I get a call 3 hours before the appointment saying that they are at our house ready to do the insulation. I explain that the appointment is in 3 hours and that no one will be there until the allotted time, as it was a APPOINTMENT. He is a little miffed because he was about to get out early for the day but instead has to go and pick his nose for 3 hours... Over all Banker was a disaster... I would not recommend using them to put insulation in a dog house. read more

Half-house remodel. New construction. Called Banker got a great quote. They showed up on time prep'd it right and even noticed some things that needed to fixed before they blew in the product. Blew it in, did more than quoted. Swept and cleaned it all up before they left. Would recommend these guys!! The trick to any work done is to treat the people right the second they come to your house. Say hello, ask their names, offer water etc. Don't assume you are king, you are paying them so they serve you. Treat people with a little respect and they will do right by you. Arrogance on a homeowners part gets you nowhere! Love these guys! read more

Two weeks later I call him requesting the quote. He informs me he did not want to do my job and was turning the job down. I mentioned to him that it would have been a bit more professional had he told me that at the time of his visit or shortly after and not have to wait two weeks for me to call him to hear this. I have been an advocate of Banker Insulation since 2007 when they did some insulation work for my Garage in Surprise. Did a great job and couldn't be happier. In 2011, they did it again to our home in Goodyear. Great job again. Decided to use them at our business location in Goodyear, why wouldn't we. The actual job of removing the old insulation and installing the new looks great. But prior to the insulation job, we had the epoxy floors done so keeping them nice was critical. The sales manager suggested some boots for the lift so that the lift didn't cause issues with the floor. Sounds great to me. After the job was done, the floors were scraped and scratched and it did not look like either of the lifts had any boots on them. I do not know how they got scraped up, whether is what the lifts supports, staples on the floors and turning on them, I really don't care what did it. I just wanted them to be exactly how they were. Come to find out, that boots/diapers are for the bottom of the lifts, not for the tires, so that the lifts do not leak oil on the floors. That was not made known until after we were trying to come to problem solving answer. My $10,000+ epoxy floors don't look like $10,000+ floors any longer. They would rather say that it was not their fault when no one else is in the shop while they are working then keep a continued customer happy. $750 out of a $6000+ invoice, It is really sad. Am I an advocate now? I can't. If they come back and offer to fix the floor, I would say that they did the right thing and would become an advocate for them again. read more

Banker insulation in Chandler is not the company to have your insulation work done. They are a pathetic company with unexperienced installers. I personally know a former employee and have heard the horror stories first hand. If you don't believe this post, do your homework ... The stories are out there. I live in Black Canyon City, Az., Yavapai County. I am in the process of a complete home remodel and called the Prescott Valley office also in Yavapai County (44 miles away) to ask about having the blown in insulation removed from my attic and the insulation replaced after the new roof was put on. I was told "We do not service Black Canyon because it's to hard on the trucks going up the hill!" Seriously? There are no hills in Prescott Valley, Prescott or the surrounding area? They instead instructed me to call the CHANDLER location (70 miles away). I called Chandler (crazy huh?) but the next available appointment they had was two weeks out and that was just to look at the project. Who knows how long it would take to actually schedule it. This would create a significant delay in my construction schedule. I cannot believe that the Banker location in the same county as my property referred me to the Banker location 70 miles away. I'm sure my project is small potatoes in comparison to their other projects but I am not so desperate to have the work done that I am willing to accept their ridiculous customer service terms.
