Banh mi thap cam and Banh mi bi
Ray B.

Stopped in for a quick bite while in the area for work. Tried the banh mi thap can (assorted cold cut) and a banh mi bi (shredded pork skin). Both came with pate carrot, cilantro, and cucumber. I ordered mine spicy. At just over $5 ea they were a good value and hit the spot. No seating inside so it's all to go. Wish they would do a char siu banh mi, I know it's not traditional Vietnamese thing but it's a nice fusion and they make it right next door.

This place was my go-to cheap lunch place when i worked around the Jane and Finch area. Recently passed by again so I went to pick up their assorted meat sub. Only $2.50 per sub. 1 is good enough to satisfy but being so cheap you might as well just get 2. They are still as delicious as i remember, but just this time the bread was a bit stale. Maybe a fluke, because all the times in the past this was the freshest vietnamese sub i ever had. So I still give this place 4 stars for taste and food quality. Tip, bring cash. I believe its cash only. There is an atm at the neighboring convenience store if you're in a pinch. No sit down either, its take out only and they have a ton of other vietnamese food items, which i haven't tried but they do look delicious. Maybe next time.

I live about a 5 minute walk from here and a 2 minute drive (literally!) but they sell one of the best Vietnamese subs "banh mi" I've ever tried in my entire life. My mom comes here A LOT and that's how I found out about it and now I come here sometimes with my boyfriend. They sell a lot of Vietnamese drinks and foods but I usually just come for the banh mi. I am Vietnamese so I do eat banh mi a lot and I love the banh mi thap cam "assorted meat" and it's one of the popular choices. It's also VERY AFFORDABLE, literally $3.25 for the assorted meat banh mi. They also sell Vietnamese iced coffee and I do get it sometimes but not the best I've tried. Still good but I prefer another place. They only accept cash (downside) and they close at 7pm (also a downside). But you cannot beat the banh mi here especially for the taste and the price. Their meat is also fresh and made to order. I SERIOUSLY LOVE THE BUTTEE AND PATE IN THE BANH MI! I had two today already (the day I wrote this review) lol.

I'm not Vietnamese but my friend is, and assures me the banh mi here is legit. The bread is softer than other places and the "stuffing" kinda scarce. This is the only place I know of that adds soy sauce or fried ginger & onions. Different... in a good way. I'd come back again if I was in the area.

I absolutely love Vietnamese sandwiches, and this place makes some of the best! The spicy one is my favorite :) The only cost $2.25 each sandwich, they are big and filling, plus they are loaded with lots of veggies. I defiantly recommend this place!

Pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers and pasta are just some items to name. I had the Bison burger combo and it was cooked perfectly. The burger was fresh with no filler. Fries were fresh cut and crispy (must use long potatoes since these fries were huge!). I still need to try the pizza, which looked fresh and had ingredients a plenty. It lost 1-star due to the price of my meal. Bison burger + fries + drink = $22. A bit steep when not in a sit-down restaurant setting. I shouldn't complain too much though, as the food from the surrounding chains or workplace cafeterias don't come close to the quality and taste.

Upon walking in, we veered right and strolled through the meats and butcher section. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for a boutique grocery, and my friend was very shocked to see so many Latin American goods. We were here for the burgers and we all ordered our share. I (amongst with many others) got the lamb burger. I usually like my burgers with all the fixins (cheese, bacon, pickles) but they would've definitely taken away from the fresh flavour of the lamb. The only thing I really missed was the onions - if I had an opportunity to add them, I definitely missed it, to my misfortune. Food was good for the price, but I was surprisingly not too stuffed after a burger and fries. Oh and the fries - they have great crispy thicc ROSEMARY fries, so definitely opt for those. We'd love to come again someday and get some meat as well - I saw proscuitto for less than $3/100g, which is cheaper than at my loblaws.

Imagine if Banh Mi and Pho had a beef dip baby. It was pretty delicious. The broth was super flavourful. It made me definitely want to come back to try the pho. I also ordered a regular Banh mi to go which was good but I'd probably stick to the more inventive sandwiches. The pork belly one sounds good too. The place only has 2 small tables so take out might be your only option. I was lucky that a couple were leaving just as my order was ready. Really nice hidden gem owned by a mom/daughter team and her boyfriend. They were super nice and told me to call ahead so they could save some pho for me next time I come. Go check them out!

It's run by a wonderful mother, daughter, and boyfriend trio who truly put their hearts into the business. The customer service is phenomenal. Mama and Liza make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in; they were so helpful with recommendations, and Mama even gave my husband some of their homemade cold cuts to try! You can tell everything is made with genuine love and care. The food is on another level: P01 Pho Dac Biet: This is my go-to order. The broth is simmered for hours and it shows--it's packed with flavor and depth. It comes fully loaded with all the best beef toppings: rare beef, tripe, beef balls, tendon, and brisket. S07 Banh Mi Thit Ba Chi: Their roasted pork belly sandwich is a must-try. Since everything is made to order, the bread is perfect and the ingredients are the freshest you can find. Though the restaurant is small, it "throws a mighty punch" with its flavors. Their focused menu ensures everything is fresh and bursting with authenticity. An absolute gem of a spot!
