#1 Banh Mi Co Ut Special sandwich
    Anh Y.

I always get the #1 Banh Mi Co Ut Special sandwich when I go here. The person taking the order was friendly and busy with taking in-store and phone orders. It's cash only here. The wait for the sandwich didn't take long. It's a small space that had three stools that people were sitting on while waiting for their orders and a small bench in front of the store, so it's more of a take-out spot. As always, the bread this time around had a nice crunch to it and the meat to pickled veggies ratio was just right. It was a delicious and satisfying sandwich, with fresh ingredients. They also offer Vietnamese snacks, desserts, and drinks. I will be back to try them and some other sandwich flavors.

Food: This place has delicious banh mi sandwiches for an excellent price (classic is only $7.50). I tried the classic which was very tasty; it's not the best banh mi I've tried, but it's definitely a great value for the size and price. They also sell very traditional Vietnamese snacks and sweets. I placed a big catering order here of 20 classic sandwiches, and they are all consistent and made well. If you buy 10 classic sandwiches, you get 1 for free. I look forward to coming back here to try some of their other sandwiches. Service: Staff are extremely friendly here! Ambiance: This is a very small shop in Chinatown with no seating. Overall, I would highly recommend this banh mi shop!

While the prices are a bit cheaper than other banh mi spots in the area the flavors weren't there for me. The pate was very strong, you can really taste the liver and I wasn't a fan. Having pork floss with it wasn't something I would have again and the pickled radish and carrots weren't as potent as I would like. The bread tho, it was great and crispy. I'm not sure if you can even get the sandwiches spicy because the lady didn't ask if I wanted that as an option. Very small restaurant with stools to sit and eat inside and a bench outside.

Great little takeout spot to grab a banh mi to-go. I happened to arrive early around opening time, and their bbq pork wasn't ready for order yet. Instead, I tried the #7 banh mi with lemongrass beef meatballs, and it was delicious! The sandwich itself is nicely filled with plenty of ingredients, though I thought the bread was just a tad more on the crispier side than I preferred. Still a great sandwich for a very reasonable price.

Wow, this is my new favorite banh mi spot (yes, I'm aware they've been around for awhile) and here's why: - Fresh bread made in house - Concise menu with the essentials - Quick service/turnaround time to get your order We ordered 2x of the #1 combo sandwich, iced Vietnamese coffee. The sandwich itself was filled well with the typical ingredients-only gripe was that it was a tad dry and could've used more butter/mayo! Would definitely visit their other locations to try other menu items-just wish they took Zelle / Venmo / credit card.

I've been trying to find a new go to Banh Mi place in Chinatown and decided to try Bánh Mì Cô because I was told that they make their bread fresh daily. I did notice a difference in the bread remaining soft and lightly crunchy, and despite re-toasting it when I got home it did not get overly hard and dry. I ordered the #3 Banh Mi Truyen Vietnam $7.50 (which includes pork belly boiled Vietnamese ham, pate, meat floss, mayo, cucumber, cilantro, carrot and daikon), and #8 Banh Mi Thit Heo Nurong Ngu Vi $8.50 (which includes 5 spice BBQ pork, dark soy sauce, mayo, cucumber, cilantro, carrot and daikon) The filling variety is a little different from what I'm used to as well, as I have never had pork belly and meat floss in my banh mi and I'm used to BBQ pork being more minced as opposed to cubed. But the flavor combinations were still good. Note that this place is cash only!

Came earlier this week to pick up a four banhmis for my family. We saw the #3 was pretty popular so we opted for that one and #1 since that was their special. I didn't realize that they were so similar or I would've chosen something else for more variety! Also, I got the veg on the side since we were driving back to queens and it would be an hour till we got to eat them. By the time we got home, the bread was still super crisp - not hard like a lot of places can get!! Eating right after would've been amazing. I did enjoy the banhmi but prefer chicken or pork so I'll have to try those! Cash only and definitely a no frills type of store front.

#3 chicken sandwich. Go for the original

Definitely would go back and order the #1 again. Only a few places have pate in their sandwiches and this is one of them. Plus the bread is crispy on the outside which I love.

Thus literal hole in the wall place has some of the best banh mi sandwiches. They are relatively fast once the order is in. There's no place to really sit inside but they had a bench outside. This is a grab and go place. I ordered the no. 2 Banh Mi ga xe (shredded chicken, pate, mayo, butter, cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon). The sandwich was huge and tasty. I especially liked the pate. I also got the Goi Cuon Tom (Shrimp roll). I enjoyed it but the rice paper was a little hard in some spots. It was decent and easy to grab. It was good for a quick meal.

One of the best banh mi spots in NY known for their homemade baguettes. I came by to pick up one on the way home. There is only a counter here with no seating, so plan to take this to-go and enjoy at a park somewhere. I ordered one #1 Special Banh Mi ($9.25). Since it's my first time, I had to go with the special, but I'd be happy with the Cold Cut or Pork Belly Banh Mi for only $7.50 next time. I love how nearly the banh mi is packaged and cut in half as well. The sandwich is stuffed with a healthy amount of meat, veggies, and spread. I love when you can actually taste the pate and they don't skimp out on there here. I can't choose between Banh Mi Co Ut and Banh Mi Saigon --both delicious Vietnamese sandwiches. Note: Cash only!

Delicious, no-frills, no-nonsense banh mi spot! Note they're cash only. I came to pick up a banh mi for lunch and tried out the Banh Mi Co Ut Special ($9.25). I waited about five minutes for my sandwich -- there about three people in line in front of me. The banh mi itself is delicious: soft bread with a crispy exterior, pickled veggies, ham, pate, pork floss, cucumbers, etc. My only gripe is that it was on the smaller side. I was still a bit hungry when I was done!

Who doesn't love a good banh mi sandwich? And this place makes their own bread in-house! Apparently, they have two locations. Where have I been? This hole in the wall spot is cash only. They have a surprisingly large menu for such a small location but as you would expect, bahn mi is a majority of those items. I went for item number 1 and it's a pretty classic sandwich. For a little under $10, you get about a 10 inch hoagie full of goodness. I waited about 5 minutes or so for them to make it and there were several orders ahead of me so I would say they're pretty fast. If you're looking for a good bahn mi, definitely check these guys out.

Cash only! This might be the best banh mi spot in NYC. There are several near by but this bread is so crispy and fresh! I got the # 3 for $7.50 and it was delicious!!! I will be back, can't stop thinking about how crispy that bread was. There was just enough veggies too, not overwhelming. Staff was super nice!! This is grab and go place - no where to sit inside.

Today, I got a PISILLO panini with ciabatta bread and it was so damn big! I had half of it for lunch and the other half will be saved for my dinner! This panini was just too long and big. I love the balsamic dressing, arugula, tomatoes, and bufula mozz cheese the most out of the whole sandwich! The dressing made it really good and soften the ciabatta bread for easier chewing. My poor mouth and teeth! The whole panini cost $22.21 including tax in cash. There was an atm machine by the entrance in case you don't have cash. The whole place was very cozy and tight knit chairs and tables on both sides of the restaurant. The staff was very fast and I got my panini in not time. I did not have to wait that long. Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
