I was deciding whether to go to chipotle or try a new spot during my lunch break. I'm so glad I chose to try something new. This is a great spot for a light lunch. I truly enjoyed my banh mi. I got the grilled pork. The bread is very soft and airy. The flavor was very good. I also ordered a black milk tea which was pretty decent. Just the perfect portion for a quick lunch! This is everything I remember and this some! I haven't had a banh mi in years but I'm glad I found this place to satisfy my craving for this sandwich. This place is located in a shopping center so there is ample parking. I walked in and this place was busy with lots of people which was a good sign. The menu is simple and descriptive, so there is no guessing what's on your sandwich. There are little tables to dine in. I placed my order and waited less than 10 minutes to get my food which was great. On to the sandwich. It was AMAZING!!! The bread was fresh, crusty exterior soft interior. The meats were placed perfectly, the veggies were fresh and the pickled veggies were perfect. The nice spread of butter on the bread was a nice touch and added depth to the flavor of the sandwich. I can't wait to get another one. The coffee was nice and strong. I love the salted cream flavor that hits the back of the tongue leaving a nice flavor behind. This place is delicious! read more

Let's start with the easy stuff: the food is AMAZING. The coffee is AMAZING. The decor and cleanliness is top tier. But that's not the best part about this place... the best part is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Holy moly. Today is Tuesday July the 2nd, 2024 and the staff working at around 4pm is a group of truly amazing humans. The baby's sippy cup wasn't working, there was something wrong with the little plastic straw. The gentlemen with a black shirt, black hat, and black glasses literally took the sippy cup behind the counter and fixed it for us. After that, all the baby wanted to do was eat the pickled vegetables. We asked if we could buy a small side of them for him, and a woman in a pink shirt and black leggings gave him a HUGE side for FREE. She also offered and took group photos of us. When we went to leave, our car wasn't starting. Our battery was dead. The same man with the black glasses literally came outside in the 100 degree weather to jump start our car... can you talk about amazing? EVERYONE working today was extremely kind and genuine. One of my favorite banh mi joint here in Duluth! The banh mi tit nuong super tasty! A small shop with variety of banh mi options. They also have really good Vietnamese coffee and nuoc mia drink. I really love their bread. The texture of the bread is perfect for banh mi. Whatever recipe they have for the bread itself is a winner. The wait wasn't too long, pretty fast while they had many customers. I think they have a good ordering system to pump out a lot of orders quickly. There's seating inside and outside. Small but good for a quick meal. The banh mi was really good. I got the cha lua and can taste the soy sauce. I wish they'd add more pate though as I feel I didn't taste much of it. It's so good I have to always eat two sandwiches, even though I'm full. All their Banh mi is around $5-6 which is especially cheaper than at restaurants. In Duluth now has so many different banh mi places and Banh Mi 135 stood out more than some places. First off by letting me say their sauce and butter compliments the banh mi and the meat very well. They were a little cheap on the pate even though we ordered 20 banh mi in one sitting. Their veggies is one of the best that was given by any of the banh mi joint. I guess I'm very particular about my veggies and 135 serving one that reminded me of back home. We did a take out order so I can't comment on their services but their banh mi came out quick. I had the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng and my wife had the Bánh Mì Gà Xé. The bread was fresh and had a nice crunch. 10 out of 10. The pickled vegetables were excellent. Perfect crunchiness and just the right amount of sour. Another 10 out of 10. The pork was good, definitely better than the average sandwich shop but no the best. The chicken was average. With the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng I added a fried egg. When considering everything, my sandwich was excellent. For the Bánh Mì Gà Xé overall the sandwich was very good, with the chicken being average but the bread and pickled vegetables making up for it. Now that they're busy. They'll mixed up your order and your food. I've been waiting for more than 40mins for the third times I'm here. The receptionist has nasty attitude every time I asked for my food while they promised to have my food ready in 20mins. 50 mims past by and my food still not ready. Banh Mi 135, located in the City Farmers Market plaza in Duluth, is a brand new Banh Mi(Vietnamese sandwhich) Specialty eatery. They have only recently just open, right around the 1-2 month mark. With the abundance of places selling banh mi, including the recently new ones; I recommend giving Banh Mi 135 a try as the items I got didn't disappoint and their service was nice in both in Vietnamese and English. This first go around, I got the Cold Cut combo and the shredded chicken. The quantity is debatable as I've had places with much less meat. But the meat and sandwhich itself taste great. The mayo and the pork liver had a great texture and taste that complimented the sandwhich really well, I was really satisfy with eat bite. The shredded chicken was ok, the chicken felt a little dry and flavor wasn't noticeable.
