How do you feed a hungry soldier who just finished basic? We went to Bandana's BBQ in Rolla Mo. My son said he hasn't been full for 8 weeks so we went with the 4 person platter. All the meats were good, the ribs were outstanding! Fit sides we went with okra,slaw,BBQ beans and fries. All were tasty. The selection of 6 sauces were nice also, or fav was the Chicago Sweet. Got the ribs and turkey two-meat platter with green beans and cole slaw. Turkey was pretty good, ribs disappointing. There were only three and the meat fought for it's life to stay on the bone. Sides were run of the mill. The server was very sweet and got to us right away after we were seated, but the piled up plates with napkins on them...clearly done...stayed on the table way too long. read more

We're travelling from Texas which has some of the best BBQ in the world! This place was super good! I was really expecting the chicken to be dry but it was perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned and the sauces were great. The salad was very fresh and it was just really nice all the way around. Wow! I stopped for the night in Rolla. This was two doors down. We all ordered the stuffed potato. It is topped with bbq beef and cheese. It also comes with a side. And two slices of garlic bread. I had the fried corn as a side. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our server, John was courteous and friendly. This was a great stop after a day on the road. Some good service for a holiday. Had three meat dinner and wife had pulled pork sandwich. Dang it was good. The atmosphere is great and good ol country music on the radio. We met some friends for lunch on our way home. We had a wonderful time visiting and the food was excellent! Our waitress was wonderful! Being from Alabama we know BBQ and while it is a bit different in MO. it was delicious! Thank you for such a pleasant lunch. Our waitress was nice. but I wasn't overall impressed it was just average . they did some nice things with the food and had excellent bread ! The sausage had a great flavor , the pork was delicious but the ribs were tuff and so was the beef. On road trip back to Texas, stopped at hotel and they recommended Bandanas. It was Thursday night and it was kind of slow but the service and food were great! Good prices too, you can get a lunch portion even for dinner. Had the Chicken platter, lunch portion, had 3 pieces of chicken, and you get 2 sides. I had side salad and baked potato. Let me be frank, Rolla does not have good food to offer. Even the fast food doesn't come out right. This BBQ joint is the top list in Rolla. The chicken is delish! With lots of bbq sauces to choose from. The KC bbq sauce was my favorite. Also, great service. If you're in Rolla or passing by. Check this place out. Amazing BBQ! They have 5 different sauces to enhance their smoked meats. The rub that they use is truly delicious. We ordered the meat platter for two. It came with 1/2 a chicken, 6 ribs and a generous portion of pulled pork and beef. The waitress and manager were very attentive and friendly. Was staying at baymont and decided to walk over. Was told that the ribs was the thing to get. So ordered 2 meat plate. It came with garlic bread, which was very good. For my 2 side I got bbq beans and slaw. Two meats "beef" and ribs. The beef was not brisket so was a little confused. The ribs were tender but flavor was not great and membrane was still on back side. Best part of the meal was the staff who were very nice. read more

We were on the road and decided to stop by and get something that was other than fast food for a change. We were promptly seated and the and the wait staff was very courteous and friendly. We ordered a variety of different meats between the 4 of us and it was all excellent. Even my son's fried catfish sandwich was tasty. The ribs were very good though they still weren't quite falling off the bone tender. They had 6 different barbecue sauces on the table, which meant that everyone was able to get a sauce that was good for their own personal tastes. The beer selection was marginal, however without any craft beers and mostly standard over the counter style beers. All in all, a good experience. read more

Had an average experience here - food wise. Ordered ribs with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. Fries and slaw were alright. Ribs were not totally satisfactory, they come dry and sauces are at the table (4 different styles). Okay, that how they do it here, that I don't particularly like this attempt might be my personal problem. But I found the ribs to be a bit short on meet, they barely had meat on the bones. Also I like spare ribs with the meat pretty much falling of the bones. Not so much with the ribs here, it has actually been work to scrape that little bit of meat off the bones. Taste wise the ribs were alright, especially of course with some of the 4 sauces added. Just the spicy sauce was disappointing too, not spicy at all. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was served fast. I might try Bandana's again should I come across one of their restaurants again - not for the ribs though, but maybe for something else. read more

Not very often do we rate a place with 5 stars, but we all throughly enjoyed this place. Right off I44, exit 184, great bbq. Place looks new, all clean and shiny. Full bar, great service, and great food. We each had something different: ribs, smoked sausage, smoked turkey and Buffalo wings. All were terrific, with sauces (5) on the table to try. My wife and I stopped on our way back to St Louis from Ft Leonard Wood. Our server greeted us with a welcome and a smile. Our food was served hot and very tasty. I got pulled pork and beef platter with a baked potato and baked beans with my wife getting the chicken nachos. We told our server that we would compare the Rolla store to our local Bandana's. Lots and lots of yummy food. I got the pork and beef with cole slaw and BBQ beans. They have 5 different sauces to enjoy with your meal. The garlic bread is crunchy and tasty.
