The Case of the No Show Cab…read more My friends and I were attending a wedding outside of Austin. I knew that Uber had already left and there was a hodgepodge of rideshare services that rose from Uber's ashes. After some phone calls we decided, "Hey 2 Star Yelp business a chance, what's the worst that can happen?". We reserved 3 vans to be picked up at midnight at the wedding venue. Lo and behold, midnight strikes and I had a Cinderella at the ball moment. I went from feeling like the belle to a puddle of sadness, because at this point of the night I was so exhausted that I had no energy to think. After playing phone tag for 30 minutes, a van finally arrives as we were basking in the moonbeam and start lit night. Women and children went first because chivalry isn't dead. We were told that the other van was behind him and that we should be rescued shortly. This was at 1:30am, after the agreed upon midnight pick up. Another hour went by, and we figured that the taxi cab has left us stranded 28.4 Miles from Austin. We cut our losses and we had two people from the one AND only van that came and picked us up and dropped them off come to get us. We finally got home at 3am. Despite the crappy ordeal, we now have a greater appreciation for Uber. You da real MVP. Austin misses you.

Yes it's not cheap and airport parking or Ubers are cheaper but boy it was worth it for the ease and taking stress out of the trip. The driver arrived exactly on time in a nice large Suburban that was clean and cool unlike some ratty Ubers. He helped us with our cases and dropped us curbside. Then he tracked our flight for the return - and was there curbside when we landed at midnight, again ready to help with a lovely AC vehicle after that Texas heat and waters if we needed them. It is worth paying for the ease and peace of mind if you cannot rely on Uber at odd hours

Didn't know how I could possibly get everything all the way over to the ride share area and load everything in myself. Called Austin Luxor Limo at the last minute and they came right away. It was such a relief! Initially spoke with Alex who gave me up-to-the-minute updates on the driver. Then, Rashid picked me up in a gorgeous, spacious and clean escalade. He came in to get me and carried all of my luggage and loaded it up and we were on our way. Rashid was also very kind, and he knows Austin like back of his hand and pointed out several short cuts for me to know if ever I get caught in traffic. I highly, highly recommend Austin Luxor Limo! Yes this does happen however they handled it all wrong and I doubt there was an issue at all with the limo. No communication when the limo broke down prior to the ride. We started calling when they were 30 minutes late and it took almost an hour to get anymore to call us back and let us know what happened. This is not how you handle an issue. We should have been immediately notified when the mechanical issues occurred so we could make additional arrangements to our event. We also had issues getting a refund for our ride. Had to contact the credit card company to get the charge removed. Charged was removed then was charged again the same amount plus additional. Please improve your customer service. We understand mechanical issues arise however it seems like you consistently handle this wrong based on other reviewers. People typically rent limos for special occasions so understand you and negatively impacting an important day in a persons life - birthday, prom, funeral, etc. Hopefully you will take this review to heart and make changes for futures customers

I changed my review from 1-star to 3-star. **Original Review: I feel terrible that my wife was subjected to this company. She needed an early morning ride to the hospital for back surgery, and I felt badly about not being able to be there with her. She has scheduled a Lyft, but I wanted to "upgrade" her experience and hired Black Diamond for her (through Yelp). She was hesitant to even take the ride after she got in, but she took it because she couldn't be late for surgery. My wife doesn't like to rock the boat and doesn't like confrontation. She paid for the ride and gave a $5 tip "to show dissatisfaction." Well... that doesn't accurately represent her experience, so I'm writing this to make others aware of what to expect if the business owner sends Kathleen in a Silver Ford to pick them up. My wife made it to the hospital on time, but the 1-star review is because of these things that are fundamental failures: (1) Driver Kathleen was NOT wearing a mask even though one is required by local regulations, AND the company advertises that drivers wear masks and that customer "safety, comfort, and peace of mind" are their top priority. (2) Driver Kathleen had her small dog with her, and the dog was on her lap while she was driving. This is not safe nor professional. (3) Car smelled like cigarette smoke. Seriously?! My wif paid double what a Lyft would have cost and got a Ford that smelled like cigarettes. Do you see why I feel terrible that I subjected her to this on the morning of her surgery?! (4) Quoted rate (through Yelp) was $65-80, but upon arrival at the destination the driver said to my wife, "My husband said $85, but I'll give it to you for $80."
