The chicken satay and curries were delicious. Food came out quickly too. My friend doesn't like spicy food and he was content with the spice level of the yellow curry after he requested no spice. For someone who likes spice, I'd say the standard level they offer isn't spicy at all.

Came here after work, it was empty with just a couple people coming in for to go orders, seems pretty big but not many people dining in. I was also placing an order to go and the server was very welcoming, I decided ordered the drunken noodles. The veggies and noodles were a good amount but lacked flavor and spice. I think it could've used more sauce and maybe a bit more softening of the noodles they were still a bit too chewy. Will be trying something else in hopes of finding my dish here!

All of the extra goodness for the soup. I requested api y, so they put jalapeños, chili flakes and chili sauce. I ate all of it! So good!

I've combined three different trips into this one review. I've been traveling to San Angelo over the last few months and I eat every time! It's just sooo good and the folks are so nice and helpful. It's a quiet, friendly place with fresh, great tasting food!

Everything was so good I ate all three dishes in one sitting. I was so full it hurt but it was worth it! Best Thai food I've eaten in years!

Sate and really good peanut sauce!

I lived in Indonesia for two years in the 1980s and love sate and good peanut sauce. I moved from San Antonio to San Angelo and surprise surprise by Ban Moon has good Sate and great peanut sauce. Could not find this food at all in San Antonio It must be Laotian because it doesn't taste like any Thai peanut sauce I've ever had, and to be honest with you I don't like Thai peanut sauce. So happy to have retired to a place where I can eat this whenever I want.!

Based only on this one take out/deliver meal experience I have to say, this place is good! The items I got were solid other than the tom yum ta lay soup. It was a bit too sour for me and the bay leaves you cannot eat, its only for flavoring the broth. Some other unique veggie in the soup does not make well for chewing and needs be removed when eating it I suggest, its like tree bark almost. Not a bad soup, just had some odd ingredients. The rest was solid! The pad that with pork level 3 heat, amazing! Huge portion also. The yellow curry is on fire! Not for spicy heat but flavor! I got chicken in mine and it worked very well. The curry broth is rich, thick, aromatic and purely delicious. I used SA2Go for delivery and it took maybe 25 minutes from app order to doorstep arrival. I had rice and leftovers for the next day as well.

Normally when I drive back home to see family, I gorge myself on Mexican food. Ban Moon was a very unexpected, but greatly appreciated addition to our list of restaurants we must visit each visit. The service was excellent and I love the traditional dishes as well as the West Texas infusion on some dishes. They have something for everyone.

Service and food was good. Place was a little small but was not packed during lunch. Also pretty decent serving size.

The food was great. It is good to see a Thai house in San Angelo. The yellow curry chicken is especially good.

Good food, surprisingly bereft of anything Asian as far as atmosphere? Stark but good for take-out.

We were greeted and seated within a minute of walking in at 5pm. I'm not that familiar with this type of dining so I'm not knocking the restaurant for me not liking my dinner, it's just not my thing I guess. I'm giving 4 stars because they did not have Thai Iced Tea on hand for this evenings dinner guest, apparently the lady who makes it wasn't in today. My opinion, a Thai restaurant not having Thai Iced Tea is like a Mexican restaurant not having margaritas, a bit disappointing. We were the first dinner guest in the restaurant and our dinners were a bit of a wait (longer than usual) from order to service and that was ok as it gave us time to visit. Our drinks and appetizers were served fairly quick. Our waitress was very friendly and tried to help me decide on dinner by explaining a few options. The place was clean and inviting with ample seating and filled up quickly within the hour. I'm only picturing my dinner and I can't remember what it was. It had a strong after taste so I tried each individual piece to pinpoint what had that flavor. One of our friends said perhaps it's lemon grass but whatever it was caused me not to finish my dinner.

I got my bowl and the broth looked a little bit like it was weak and not concentrated enough...I figured maybe it's a little bit weaker flavor. I dip my little ladle spoon and take a sip....that looked like weak tonkatsu, but the flavor was something other than tonkatsu. I don't know what it was. The noodles were cooked appropriately, but the ajitama was not seasoned and it was not soft boiled, it was hard boiled. Okay, try out the meat. The meat was a little bit on the tough side and it did not have the flavor of chashu pork. I have had tonkatsu ramen at many different places through California. Even Missouri has a stellar tonkatsu ramen shop. Unfortunately this place does not leave me satisfied. I am afraid I can not give it a 3 star rating due to the fact that tonkatsu is unrecognizable as tonkatsu in relation to flavor. Was the flavor good? Not really. My recommendation would be to remove tonkatsu as an option on the menu altogether because although it looks like tonkatsu, it does not have anything in it that tastes like a tonkatsu ramen. The 2 stars is for decent noodles and I didn't get sick off the food.

Let's start with the service: consistently friendly, prompt, and eerily efficient. You sit down, and suddenly everything you didn't know you wanted appears like magic. I don't know how they do it--probably a pact with the shrimp-flipping spirits. Either way, I'm not complaining. The teppanyaki? Always on point. Tender, flavorful, and hot enough to cauterize your regrets. And the show? Somehow, no matter how many times I see it, it never feels phoned in. Every beat is hit, every egg is cracked midair with the flair of a culinary ninja, and nobody sets the building on fire--so really, it's a win for everyone. Also, shout-out to the sushi: fresh, well-rolled, and surprisingly not sad (which is saying something for inland Texas). Fairly priced too, which I deeply appreciate in this, our late capitalist hellscape. Bottom line: Shogun is reliably great. Bring your family, your appetite, and maybe your slightly unhinged cousin--it's fun for everyone.
