I say cars & trucks because this is West Texas, and just about everyone has a truck, except us. We did, and we still should, but that's another story, and I want to keep this review short like my others. Went inside and were told to sit anywhere you want. I guess they really didn't mean that because I sat in the Kitchen, and they kind of frowned. (hehe) That's when we grabbed a booth. Our Server, Norma, came over and took our drink order. Coffee with creamer for me and a glass of water with lemon for Nancy. We looked over the menu as if we didn't know what we wanted, but we did. When Norma returned with our drinks, we placed our order. My Wife is going with her standard, "Two-Egg Cheese Omelet, with Hash Browns and Wheat Bread. I am going with the same thing but having their Biscuits instead. While we waited for our food, I enjoyed some goooood Coffee with French Vanilla Creamer. Kozy Kitchen makes good coffee, not the weak kind you get at some other restaurants. Soon our Cheese Omelets arrived, and they looked delicious. The Hash Browns are prepared just the way we like'em, golden brown on the outer and potato-eee on the inner. The Two Cheese Omelet is also prepared perfectly with lots of Cheese. My Wife's Wheat Bread is toasted with a nice amount of melty butter on it. My Biscuits look different than what they served before. My Wife said they look more like Muffins. I spread lots of butter on one and took my first bite. They are, in fact, "Biscuits", nice-n-flaky inside with a golden-brown outer edge. The top, one could say, looks like a Muffin, but it does taste like a Biscuit. Also added some Strawberry Jam to the Biscuits. I drizzled some Cholula Hot Sauce on top of my Cheese Omelet, which brings out the flavor of tasty heat. That's some mighty good stuff. We both enjoyed our Cheese Omelets, and I ate all of mine and finished up my Wife's Hash Browns, with some added Cholula Hot Sauce. Our Server, Norma, earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and loved it. She showed us the other one she has that I gave her before. Kozy Kitchen is one of the Best Breakfast places in San Angelo, and we Love coming here. They have more than just breakfast, and it's all good. (maybe next time they will let me sit in the kitchen) On the way home, we enjoyed another Beautiful (but getting hot) day in San Angelo, TX. Probably the best breakfast spot in San Angelo as far as I'm (we) are concerned. The service is top notch and the breakfast is simply hard to beat. Also, they have an assortment of condiments on each table, reasonably priced menu selection and the restaurant is clean. HIGHLY recommend breakfast here and now our "go to" place for breakfast.

My quesadilla was a bit salty but I still enjoyed my dinner. Chefs often use a bit of extra salt to wake up flavor profiles. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas w/beans and rice and a coke 0. When we got home we got to thinking why our bill was $62.24. I called and spoke with the mgr, he pulled our ticket# up and noticed our waitress added a $12.00 item onto our ticket when it should have been on our friend's ticket and he apologized for her mistake. $50.24 should have been our total. Apology accepted and we left it at that. Please check your tickets before giving your card to be ran at any restaurant. I struggled with giving 3 or 4 stars so you can see my choice above.

I know you know yesterday was Valentine's Day, and it's a good day to take your "Better Half" (and…read moreyou know that's true) out for Dinner at one of her favorite places. "The Grill". That also sounds really good to me. We know The Grill will be busy, especially since Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, so we left earlier than normal. Arrived, and a good number of cars were parked all around. Walked in, and the place is packed, with every bar stool and table taken. The Hostess said it will only be a few minutes for your table. In a couple of minutes, a table was available. After we were seated, more people arrived, but they also only had to wait a couple of minutes. The Grill has two bartenders working along with several servers, and a couple of employees cleaning up the tables when they become available. Our Server is Sophia, and she took our drink order. Two Jack-N-Cokes and waters. While we waited for our drinks, we looked over the menu. We kind of already know what we are going to order, and we did. My Wife is going with one of her usuals, their "Happy Hour Nachos" ($6.50), listed as 'Roasted Pork Nachos' on the main menu. Slow Roasted Pork, Chipotle Sauce, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over lots of Fresh Chips with Green sliced Jalapenos on one side, and Red sliced Jalapenos throughout the plate. I am going with the "Baja Fish Tacos", Blackened Baja Fish with Chipotle Sauce, and pickled Slaw. Served with Guacamole, Rice, Black Beans, and double Corn Tortillas for three Tacos. We placed our order with Sophia when she served our drinks. Then we toasted to Valentine's Day, and us. The bartenders here make the Best Jack-N-Cokes around. They are really good, smoooooooth, and go down easy. While we waited for our food, The Grill became busier and busier, with more people waiting. Glad we came a little early. Sophia stopped by, as well as one of the Managers checking on us to see if we needed anything. Service here is always tops. Soon our food arrived, and my Wife's Roasted Pork Nachos were served the same as they always have been, piled up high and covering the entire plate, and I might add, very colorful. I Love the way they prepare the Baja Fish Tacos with a Huge chunk of perfectly grilled fish all by itself next to the Rice & Black Beans, a large scoop of Fresh Guacamole, and several Corn Tortillas for you to make your own, with Pickled Slaw to the side. Both dishes are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness that you will find nowhere else. The Grill does it right. My Wife's Nachos have a lot of melted cheese oozing everywhere with lots of corn chips and several pounds of Roasted Pulled Pork. Well, okay, maybe not 'pounds', but there are a lot of large chunks throughout this dish. She said it is delicious and loving that Pulled Pork. She ate about half of it and will take the rest home for a meal that will be for both of us - you get a lot of food at The Grill. I cut off a long chunk of fish, spread their Chipotle Sauce on a couple of corn tortillas, then the fish, topping it off with rice & black beans, guacamole, and their pickled slaw. This Fish Taco is Deliciousness and more. The perfectly grilled Baja Fish has lots of flavor with just enough spice from the chipotle sauce. I made three of these, each a little different, and they all were very Tastylicious. Each Taco was so filled with goodies I could not fold it over, and I ate them more like a Tostada instead. Either way, they are The Best. I also have some fish left over that I ate with the remaining sides, adding that chipotle sauce to each bite. I ate all of mine, with no leftovers to take home. While we were enjoying our food, Sophia said that she would like to take a picture of us with my camera because we are a cute couple. Hey, I couldn't disagree with that, so she did. Flattery will get you everywhere. Thank You Sophia. Well, guess what? Sophia earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm, and a nice tip. We boxed up my Wife's leftovers and headed home, and The Grill was still busy as ever when we left. This was a Great way to enjoy a Valentine's Day Dinner.

When we arrived, I wasn't really surprised that there are a lot of cars/trucks in the parking lot. Walked in, was greeted by the Hostess, and shown to a table in the Main Dining area. Right away, the Chips & Salsa Lady came by with their Red Salsa, Bean Dip topped with Gravy, and those Fresh Warm Chips for us to enjoy. Right after that, our Server, Monica, stopped by and took our drink order while we looked over the menu, mainly their Thursday Steak Specials. Those Chips and Salsa, which is on the Hot side, are delicious, but I tend to lean toward the Bean Dip topped with Gravy. That is some really good stuff. When Monica returned with our drinks, we placed our order. Joe is having the "KC Steak"; About 16 ounces of Hand Cut Sirloin, requested medium. Served with Baked Potato or French Fries, chose French Fries. Served with Frijoles Borracho's and a Salad. Nancy is having the same thing, but medium rare. I am going with the "Henry's New York Strip Steak"; About 14 ounces. Chose French Fries over the Baked Potato. Served with Frijoles Borracho's and a Salad. All Steaks are tenderized by the In-House-Butcher and seasoned accordingly. Traditional Kansas City-style Steaks are typically seasoned with a blend of Coarse Garlic Salt, Pepper, Coriander, and Chili Peppers. Henry's has other Steaks on their Thursday Specials; Besides the two kinds we ordered, they have "Spanish Steak"; About 14 ounces, with the same sides. The "Chicken Fried Steak"; Their CFS sits in a Cheese-Gravy and is one of the Best CFS's around. And they have the standard "Hamburger Steak"; topped with Brown Gravy & Onions. Right after Monica took our food order, she returned and with Fresh Warm Chips and more of the Red 'Hot' Salsa. That stuff warms you up from the inside out and is very tasty. We enjoyed those Chips and Dips, and then our Salads came out. I topped mine off with their Vinaigrette Dressing, my Wife chose Thousand Island, and I think Joe went with Ranch. Right after we finished the Delicious, Crisp and Flavorful Salads, our Steaks arrived. Henry's has always been pretty quick in serving their food, and the presentation is Spot-On. No matter what plate you order, it's always going to be a Beautiful Presentation. All three of our Steaks are glistening, and the aroma makes your tummy smile. We all three cut into our Steaks and they are Right-On, just the way they should be. I have had the KC Steak before, and it was Very Tastylicious, and that's what my Wife said about hers. Very Tender with lots of Flavor in every bite. Joe loved his also and ate all of it. My Wife didn't eat all of hers because, as she says, she isn't tall enough. I ate all of mine because I am tall enough. It was also Very Flavorful, Tenderlicious and just down-right great. Their Steaks cut very easy with a knife - it just falls through the Deliciousness with ease. Normally, a New York Strip Steak is seasoned by being patted dry, then liberally coated on all sides with kosher salt and black pepper. Some methods involve dry-brining for several hours, while others apply a simple mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder just before cooking. Don't know if Henry's does theirs this way, but I do know that it's Awesomely Flavored. French Fries are pretty good, and I ate all of mine, but don't tell my Doctor. I'm not suppose to have this much Steak and Potatoes, and I've done this a couple times this week. So - Shhhhhhhhhhhh. No wonder their Frijoles Borracho's are Very Tasty. The Frijoles Borracho's (Drunken Beans) are a classic dish featuring Pinto Beans slow-simmered with Beer, Bacon, and aromatic Vegetables. Other key ingredients are Bacon rendered fat, Garlic, Jalapenos, Tomatoes, Cilantro, and dark Mexican Beer. All of that in a bowl for your enjoyment. And believe me, you will enjoy these. Monica earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. She checked on us at just the right times and was very pleasant to talk to. She also described how the Steaks were seasoned, prepared, and that the KC Steak is her favorite. She is Awesome. When we left, Henry's was pretty busy, as expected. Maybe they all came for the Steaks. On the way home, we enjoyed another Beautiful San Angelo Afternoon.

7/25/2026 our first time here at The Original Henry's since relocating to San Angelo on 1/14/2026…read more Since then, we have driven past TOH's numerous times and their parking lot was usually full. 2:15pm on a Saturday we were quickly seated and waited on. Kimberly was our server and perhaps one of the BEST waitresses we've had at any restaurant in San Angelo. She took our order and quickly brought out our drinks along with chips, salsa, guacamole and beans and within minutes both our dinners were brought out to us. With it being so quick, I do question the food prep which is not necessarily a negative thing. Sometimes when food arrives fast at a sit-down restaurant, it can feel alarming. However, it can be kitchen prep done hours before service so dishes can be rapidly assembled along with synchronized cooking stations designed for efficiency. Kimberly checked on us 3 times which was nice and cleared empty dishes out of our way. The place is clean, inviting, lots of seating and numerous menu choices. We both liked our choices and our bill was reasonable.

Talk about great food! We have gone to Senor Chang's several times and are never disappointed. The service is outstanding, everyone is extremely friendly. You can certainly tell that the people there truly enjoy providing amazing food to their customers. In my opinion, the environment in an establishment is just as important as the service, in this case, the food you are providing, and these guys have got it down. Absolutely amazing food and service. We have several hibatche style places here in town but I hands down believe this one takes the cake. You do not pay near what you pay at the other hibatche's, you get the same if not more food, and the service is outstanding. The resturaunt is super clean which is also a plus. I think my favorite part is the owner is so incredibly kind. He always thanks customers for coming in. You dont find a place like this every day. It is a hidden gem. read more

Señor Chang's is awesome! They have great food at a great price. I've never tried anything there that I didn't like. Service is quick and the staff is friendly and willing to accommodate you. Great food! I haven't gone in to sit down and eat but I have called in an order several times and picked it up through the drive-thru. I love their teriyaki chicken bowl. Prices are pretty reasonable, definitely cheaper than the other hibachi grills here in town. Plus I can get it to go, so that is a win in my book. read more

This place is amazing and the food is delicious. It's great to see a local owner who cares so much about his business and clients. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are friendly and efficient. I recommend trying the steak and chicken teriyaki with cheesecake eggrolls for dessert. read more

Against my better judgement we ordered a piece of the baklava. It was a tiny morsel (less than 1" in width) and was also store bought. The drinks were the only good thing about the evening. I had a whiskey sour and my wife had the lemon cello amaretto sour. I sent my food back to the kitchen and my wife ate hers as well as she could. I know you know yesterday was Valentine's Day, and it's a good day to take your "Better Half" (and…read moreyou know that's true) out for Dinner at one of her favorite places. "The Grill". That also sounds really good to me. We know The Grill will be busy, especially since Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, so we left earlier than normal. Arrived, and a good number of cars were parked all around. Walked in, and the place is packed, with every bar stool and table taken. The Hostess said it will only be a few minutes for your table. In a couple of minutes, a table was available. After we were seated, more people arrived, but they also only had to wait a couple of minutes. The Grill has two bartenders working along with several servers, and a couple of employees cleaning up the tables when they become available. Our Server is Sophia, and she took our drink order. Two Jack-N-Cokes and waters. While we waited for our drinks, we looked over the menu. We kind of already know what we are going to order, and we did. My Wife is going with one of her usuals, their "Happy Hour Nachos" ($6.50), listed as 'Roasted Pork Nachos' on the main menu. Slow Roasted Pork, Chipotle Sauce, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over lots of Fresh Chips with Green sliced Jalapenos on one side, and Red sliced Jalapenos throughout the plate. I am going with the "Baja Fish Tacos", Blackened Baja Fish with Chipotle Sauce, and pickled Slaw. Served with Guacamole, Rice, Black Beans, and double Corn Tortillas for three Tacos. We placed our order with Sophia when she served our drinks. Then we toasted to Valentine's Day, and us. The bartenders here make the Best Jack-N-Cokes around. They are really good, smoooooooth, and go down easy. While we waited for our food, The Grill became busier and busier, with more people waiting. Glad we came a little early. Sophia stopped by, as well as one of the Managers checking on us to see if we needed anything. Service here is always tops. Soon our food arrived, and my Wife's Roasted Pork Nachos were served the same as they always have been, piled up high and covering the entire plate, and I might add, very colorful. I Love the way they prepare the Baja Fish Tacos with a Huge chunk of perfectly grilled fish all by itself next to the Rice & Black Beans, a large scoop of Fresh Guacamole, and several Corn Tortillas for you to make your own, with Pickled Slaw to the side. Both dishes are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness that you will find nowhere else. The Grill does it right. My Wife's Nachos have a lot of melted cheese oozing everywhere with lots of corn chips and several pounds of Roasted Pulled Pork. Well, okay, maybe not 'pounds', but there are a lot of large chunks throughout this dish. She said it is delicious and loving that Pulled Pork. She ate about half of it and will take the rest home for a meal that will be for both of us - you get a lot of food at The Grill. I cut off a long chunk of fish, spread their Chipotle Sauce on a couple of corn tortillas, then the fish, topping it off with rice & black beans, guacamole, and their pickled slaw. This Fish Taco is Deliciousness and more. The perfectly grilled Baja Fish has lots of flavor with just enough spice from the chipotle sauce. I made three of these, each a little different, and they all were very Tastylicious. Each Taco was so filled with goodies I could not fold it over, and I ate them more like a Tostada instead. Either way, they are The Best. I also have some fish left over that I ate with the remaining sides, adding that chipotle sauce to each bite. I ate all of mine, with no leftovers to take home. While we were enjoying our food, Sophia said that she would like to take a picture of us with my camera because we are a cute couple. Hey, I couldn't disagree with that, so she did. Flattery will get you everywhere. Thank You Sophia. Well, guess what? Sophia earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm, and a nice tip. We boxed up my Wife's leftovers and headed home, and The Grill was still busy as ever when we left. This was a Great way to enjoy a Valentine's Day Dinner.
