I still think the quality of the drinks are great, but they can be pricey, at about $9 a drink.

Bambu Halo Halo Ube: Filipino favorite Bambu Style served in a LARGE 24 oz Cup, with Red Bean, Red Tapioca, Pandan Jelly, Jackfruit, Fresh Coconut Meat, Egg Pudding, Boba, and topped with a scoop of Ube Ice Cream. Unique take on the Halo Halo but it was just ok and pricey for that scoop of icecream. I am glad i tried it but will stick with the usual Che.

Food - 5/5 If you are a durian lover and when I said this, I meant you expect only the best real durian flesh/meat and wouldn't compromise nor go for those "flavored durian" filling.. then you should try their Durian Sago coconut milk drink which comes with real durian in it. Only this store offers this drink. It's soo good and I have been coming to this store for past few years every time I have a durian craving. I also had their pandan waffle this time. Not bad. Crispy and aromatic. I found in general, most of their drinks on the regular menu are of better quality (fresher ingredients) compared to the other Bambu stores I been to. Service - 5/5 small shop with quick order to pickup service. Ambiance - 4/5 ok just have 1-2 very small tables inside unless you don't mind sitting on one of their few tables outside.

Have been craving for che thai trai cay (fruit addict) for a while and saw that Bambu serves it. Stopped by on Friday to get one. Hubby got a Vietnamese coffee. The che thai trai cay (fruit addict) #6 was just ok. Honestly I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting more fruit for a dessert that is supposed to be mostly fruit. My cup was most tapioca. It was supposed to have palm seeds, but looks like they stopped including it here. Also, they didnt include any of the pandan jelly aka banh lot either. It seems like they substituted the banh lot for some kind of tapioca strands instead..looking at the menu now, maybe agar jelly. Definitely not what was advertised because I love banh lot and was also looking forward to that. The Vietnamese coffee was horrible. It was so thick and had so much condensed milk that it was literally thick. We threw most of it away. We were in the area again the next day and decided to give it one more try after discussing halo halo with a friend. The halo halo was very rich, sweet and heavy. Wish they had a smaller size available. I got #10 Bambu Favorite this time because I really wanted to make sure I got my pandan jelly fix this time. This was good, but I would have really enjoyed the pandan jelly if they included it in my #6 Fruit Addict the first day. I really didn't appreciate the substitution without them mentioning it at all. I will try another location in the future.

Better than some other locations. Quite sweet, but nice ingredients and a big cup as well. More worth the price than something like boba. Great place for a summer snack with a number of cold options.

I always enjoy a good Vietnamese dessert. Usually a drink with various jellies and fruit mixed together harmoniously in with coconut water or milk, it's refreshing, tasty, and enjoyable. That's my experience at Bambu, which is probably a chain around the San Jose area. The service was quick and friendly. A small store next to 99 Ranch, there are some seating outside and inside, so can get your beverage and enjoy it immediately. Albeit, the drinks are pricey, but the ingredients resemble more of a true dessert than just a drink. We'd come back!

After eating lunch at BP, needed a cup of coffee and saw this cafe next to 99 Ranch. Decided to get an iced Vietnamese coffee which was delicious. The drink came out fast and there were tables outside to sit in, in addition to the tables inside. They also had a lot of other drink options which seemed refreshing.

Bambú is located across from Costco and within the plaza next to 99 Ranch Market. Plenty of parking, so besides peak hours, parking isn't an issue. They have been switching between the names Bambú and Che, but it seems like it's the same place since the drinks they offer is pretty much the same. My go-to drinks are their #10 Che (Red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly, coconut milk) and the blended Hazelnut Mocha Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly. Their drinks are so good! Be forewarned, their coffee is strong, so if you're planning to keep yourself awake, this is a great option. For their che, you can ask for ice on the side if you'd like. The store is small but cute. They've changed up the interior design many times. Currently, they have this cute flower wall and pictures of their drinks. Seating is minimal, but most people get their drinks to-go. I'd say that the quality of their drinks have been steady, plenty of ingredients are given, and the size of their menu selection is decent. If you're craving for something to drink, I would recommend Bambú!

We got the Bambu special and smashed avocado and it was super refreshing! Luckily we came before the line formed, and there was a cute floral backdrop to take cute pictures of your drinks to share. If you're craving a refreshing dessert definitely won't disappoint!

I like the desserts and made right everytime however shocked to see new charges for ice on the side? Really? The dessert prices already increased and now they are just nit picking.

Temperatures were just under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The air conditioning was great in here, not freezing cold but cool enough to be comfortable. There were a few other tables of people with their laptops out, and I was excited to see that they have expanded since my last visit and added more seating for customers. The lotus milk tea is still one of my favorites in the whole city. We sat at a table so there was no outlet, but I can't remember if there were outlets along the walls for the booth seating. The WiFi worked well and if there was background music it was not being blasted loudly. I would definitely keep this spot top of mind if I needed a reliable spot to work remote again, especially since there is now more seating than there used to be. For me to have a coffee means it is excellent. 7 leaves is excellent. The first time I ever had 7 leaves was in Los Angeles. I don't know what branch but it had a drive through, which was lit. I was with my aunt and uncle who know I don't drink coffee, and they peer pressured me into getting a house coffee. I am so grateful they did . Creamy, sweet, with the salty cream top. Absolute nectar of the gods. If you hate sweet coffee this is not for you. But if you are an aspiring diabetic in terms of sugar consumption, then this place is heaven. I was so happy to get my signature- house coffee with boba. The boba is tender and good quality. Not the best boba in the world but solid. The coffee, ohhhh the coffee. It literally brought me back to life- I had been awake since 1 am for my fuckass day of travel and quest to get to California to get yelled at. If you're on the verge of a crash out, get the coffee. Countertop stools are missing from the counter area. Sprayed graffiti on the window and sticky caramel spillages outside the entrance were not cleaned up. Store has more of an ambiance to hang out with friends. Music choice wasn't disruptive. Not really a good place to do work in comparison to other locations due to noise level of other guests. There's also 4 Wi-fi networks to choose from and none of them worked except for Berryessa Square, which was super slow. Staff was friendly and quick with service. Drinks are consistent with other locations. Will be back for just picking up drinks. There's better locations to go to for working on a laptop.

Simplicity at its best, but worth coming if you are a true coffee lover…read more Tono has been in my newest rotations of coffee shops to go to in San Jose. It is located in the back end of the Japantown strip under an apartment complex (it is easy to miss!) It's across Higher Fire JTown Clay and you will need to rely on street parking like most of downtown. Note: Tono is more of a quick grab and go environment with some seating outside (limited), so not a place to work from home/do school work, but more to get your caffeine fix. There are close by community spaces to sit though! At Tono, they do not really do drinks with frills, but straightforward drips, lattes, and at most chocolate/matcha lattes. That being said, all of the drinks I have gotten so far have been smooth and not bitter at all. I typically do not like plain lattes, but I did order one the other day and it might have been the best I had due to how non-astringent it was. What I truly love about Tono is their pastries. They are so delicious! When I asked the barista, they let me know it is all made in their kitchen located in East Side San Jose. There were indoor lounge chairs in the complex foyer as well as tables outside. What hospitable staff members! When I went up to order, the employee at my register welcomed both me and my dog. He also observed that I had my hands full and offered to assist me with adding a lid to my coffee and bagging up my pastries. I ordered the "Extra," which was basically a mocha. I thought it was excellent. Smooth with rich chocolate undertones. It also was at the perfect temperature and didn't need a sleeve. All their baked goods looked delectable, but I went for something savory and got their Korean garlic cheesy bun for me and my husband. We both agreed it was the best Korean garlic cheesy bun we've ever had. In addition to the bright garlic flavor and gooey cream cheese, the crunchy corn flakes added a nice texture to the buns.
