I just realized I've visited this Ume store many times since they opened, but somehow never got around to writing a review. I'm so glad to have Ume near my house. The drinks and food are always great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I visited yesterday for their free mini figure promotion with the White Peach Yogurt drink, and it was such a fun little treat and the new flavor was awesome. One thing I really like about Ume is that they're always coming out with new flavors. I enjoy trying their new menu items, and most of the time, it's a hit. I also picked up a Ume gift card, which is a great deal for a frequent customer like me. Definitely a neighborhood favorite for me, and I'll be back to try more new flavors! read more

I'm waiting for my drink and just witnessed something really concerning. An employee brought out a 5-gallon bucket of cream or yogurt to refill the counter. When he opened it, he placed the inside of the lid directly on the floor where they walk, then put it back on the bucket afterward. Mind you, the bucket still had contents in it and will be used for the next refill. That extremely unsanitary and honestly made me sick to my stomach. A big shout out to brain !!! Brian was incredibly kind and helpful! I brought my two daughters, and since they usually can't finish a full milk yogurt ,he generously offered to split one drink into two cups for them. They love pearls, and he even added pearls to both cups, which made them so happy. What impressed me even more was that when Brian helped prepare and bring out our drinks, he wasn't even clocked in yet--he was helping us while still off the clock. He truly went above and beyond without being asked. Brian is such a thoughtful and genuinely nice person, and his excellent customer service made our experience extra special. UMe Tea has been all over my feed and i finally decided to try it out today. initially, i wanted to go to the Cupertino location but because it was an additional 20 minutes, we decided to go to the closest location to us. we walked in and it looked pack but it really wasn't. it's just the layout of have they placed things. tell me why in the world would you put the kiosk right at the door and people line up just to block the whole entrance. stupid much? move the kiosk more in so the whole space can be utilized. the line grew long and no one helped nor took orders at the register. we just had to wait for the ONE SINGLE KIOSK available. finally i got to the front of the line and decided on one drink because nothing seemed appealing. got a text message that i'll be texted again once my drink was ready. got my drink after a few minutes and it was just ok. the boba was not what i like ... it was more mushy than chewy. no bounce whatsoever. i will not be retuning to this location. layout is horrible, no one was even helpful nor did they acknowledge anyone they walked in. perhaps i will try the cupertino location and if it all tastes the same, i will remove UMe Tea from my lists of boba spots to go to. read more

Boba tea shops are popping up everywhere they come and go and UMe Tea takes over Jamba Juice spot. I came by on a Friday morning when I saw this large size pink bunny rabbit outside the front entrance. From inside and out it's all around pink decorative and bright as a sunshine. Customer service has been outstanding I guess being the only customer made a big difference. I placed my order via a self-service kiosk chose the grape green tea w/tea jelly regular ice 30% sweetness $5.95 comes in large size only very refreshing and six takoyaki balls chopped octopus drizzled with kewpie mayonnaise topped with bonito flakes non-spicy a great appertizers for $8.95. Would definitely be back best to come on a weekday rather than on a weekend when it's pack with shoppers. Ample parking despite being surrounded with so many business in this over crowded shopping mall. read more

I happened to be at HMart and saw UMe Tea in the same plaza. My husband and I stopped by around 7pm on a Wednesday. The place was quite busy, but we managed to get there ahead of a rush. The ordering kiosk is located in such an unfavorable spot. It picked up a harsh glare at the time we were there that we had to use UMe's paper menu to shield our eyes so that we could see the screen. When I went to UMe a couple of days later around lunch time, the glare was just as bad. Management ought to do something about positioning it elsewhere. The first time we went to UMe Tea, I ordered the guava strawberry yogurt slushie at 30% sweetness. I chose the oat popping boba simply because I've never had it before, and I added mochi. This drink was awful. I've had fruit parfaits way better than this drink. Maybe I should've went with a higher sweetness? Regardless, I could not finish this drink. The oat popping boba was different but didn't care much for it either. That said, I did come back later in the week, because I really liked the mochi. My husband got the passion fruit and watermelon tea with lychee. This was a much better drink than mine. I liked that they included the passionfruit seeds for additional texture. When I came back for a redemption drink, I got the handmade taro and mochi milk tea. It was totally fine. Exactly what I expected and thankfully better than the yogurt slushie. read more

Small interior with a few tables outside only. I didn't see any tables inside. Only one kiosk to order from. The service was friendly and polite. Brown Sugar Boba & Mochi Black Milk Tea: Brown sugar and black milk tea drizzled with brown sugar syrup, with soft mochi and boba pearls (3.5/5). The mochi was hard to suck up through the straw. I love Ume tea so I was excited to have one open so close to work. It's a small shop with a bench seating along one wall for about 6 guests and three small tables outside. Like every other ume tea, it's very pink and cute inside inline with their branding. My only negative comment is that it's not as clean inside as I would like, specifically the floor. They also don't have a bathroom but I honestly don't remember if the others do or not. I ordered popcorn chicken and a crème brûlée Thai tea with boba. The chicken was hot with the perfect amount of seasoning. The tea was amazing! Sweet & creamy without being too sweet. When you walk in, you order from a tablet, so I didn't speak to anyone until my food came out and the items came out quickly. I'm looking forward to going back. read more

Ume Tea is such a cute spot, especially with the pink bunny theme. The whole place has a really sweet and cozy vibe, so it's nice for hanging out or grabbing a treat. Every time I come here, the store is usually pretty busy, but the service is still surprisingly fast and organized. I ordered the Cha Cha Bowl and really enjoyed it. The fruits tasted fresh, juicy, and smelled really good. The coconut milk was also super rich, creamy, and flavorful, which made the whole bowl taste even better. Had to try this new tea shop location since it just opened. Since the store is new there was some what of a long line. I was 8th in line. Took roughly 15 min to get to the cashier. I'd imagine people had lots of questions. I ordered the popcorn chicken with spicy and salt/pepper flavor. The chicken tastes so delicious. It has some breading to the chicken. It's not as spicy as I would have hoped. Compared to their other locations this place doesn't make it as spicy. However they definitely have the chicken part down compared to their other locations. For drinks I bought a uji matcha latte boba with 30 percent sweet and subbed milk for soy milk. It tasted creamy and not as sweet which is a good thing. For people who have dairy restrictions. You'll get charged for choosing other milk options unfortunately. Compared to other tea shops and coffee shops they don't charge you for having dietary restrictions. Parking will be a problem here since this Asian plaza is always packed. I recommend coming here early when it opens cause you won't get parking lol. read more

Came for the grand opening. I'm in this shopping plaza a lot but now parking is going to be busy. I came on their BOGO day and waited about an hour from getting into line to getting my drink. And then I also came on $5.99 popcorn chicken day and waited about 30 minutes total. I like that they do multiple days of grand opening offers. Ume is expanding very quickly and I hope they stick around. They have some pretty unique drinks. My go to's are the fruit teas with either passion fruit or watermelon or both. Their coco jasmine mango/coconut drinks are also very yummy. This was my first time having popcorn chicken. It was freshly fried and pretty flavorful. Though I'm pretty sure I asked for non-spicy and it had a bit of a kick. Even the hubby who has more of a tolerance for spice noticed it. So it wasn't just my sensitive palate. Service was ok, for it being so busy. But they are just opening - they can only get better. I do like that this is now the closest Ume location to me. read more

Just opened 3/21/2026 weekend: Cute portable truck and little goodies like a bunny ume balloon for grand opening weekend. Overall, I'm a big fan of their mango slushies and purple rice drinks, keep coming back for them! Glad one opened closer to SJ side of the bay. The purple rice here was nicely chewy with a hint of sweetness. Recommended sweetness (30% for yogurt etc) similar to others and towards the less sweet side of things. Update: Wished I was informed of missing ingredients prior to ordering or if there are missing toppings that a substitute would be offered. Only reason got the mango twilight cloud was for the CLOUD marshmallow topping as a treat after a long week. Didn't see it on top, so went back to ask incase it was just accidentally missing since it's understandable things can happen, however when asked they just said sorry they were out.... and that was that. Didn't want to make a big deal, but the little things certainly count. Anyways, left feeling miffed instead of the treat after week of studying it was supposed to be; hopefully this could be avoided in the future for someone else. read more

I've been a loyal fan of this brand for a long time, and the Black Boba Mochi Milktea is my absolute favorite. However, my experience at this location today was beyond disappointing, it was unprofessional and disrespectful. 1. System & Pricing Issues: First, I noticed this store requires 100 points for a free drink, whereas other locations only require 60-80 points. To make matters worse, when I ordered through the kiosk, the system glitched and applied my 'free drink' reward to the popcorn chicken instead of my tea. I didn't say anything at the time, thinking it was just a system error, but it was frustrating. 2. Poor Service & Wait Time: Even though there were only two orders ahead of me at the time, while there were four or five staff members inside and they were just laughing and chatting. I waited 20 minutes for my drink, and then had to wait an additional 5-7 minutes for the popcorn chicken. Unlike other locations, the staff here is not proactive at all. I had to specifically ask for a bag myself; otherwise, they wouldn't have offered one. 3. Unacceptable Staff Attitude: The breaking point was the missing extra mochi. I paid for an extra portion and left a note saying 'mochi on the side.' This means I should have had mochi inside the tea AND a separate portion on the side. When I realized the tea had no mochi and pointed it out, the employee didn't even bother to check my order or apologize. Instead, he snapped at me: 'You noted mochi on the side, so we put it on the side for you already.' I had to explain the order again, and he finally offered to remake the drink but did so with a visible attitude. To save time, I just asked him to put the missing mochi in a small side cup. He acted like he didn't understand and I had to repeat myself one more time. When he finally handed it to me, he was extremely rude, didn't say a word, and not a single apology was given. 4. Hygiene & Quality Concerns: The hygiene here is also a major concern. The cup was not wiped down and was covered in sticky brown sugar syrup when I got to my car. Moreover, the seating area and tables were quite dirty. As for the food, the extra mochi portion was only half-full, had a watery texture, and was completely tasteless. I truly hope the management looks into this. This location needs a serious fix regarding their system, hygiene, and especially the staff's professional attitude and respect for customers. read more
